We are looking for a new bed... love your reviews.... we are getting rid of our tempur-pedic --- sadly we hated it and looking for something that would be the opposite of a tempur-pedic. We both sleep more on our sides and I have lower back pain at different times.... and suggestions on a new bed?
The most serious issue w/ memory foam mattresses is they retain body heat! One store told me they get a lot of returns on their memory foam mattresses because they are too hot! I decided to try one anyway and wound up returning it after about a week; too hot, esp. since it hugs your body.
I was looking for a comparison of the Purple mattress but I also considered the Nectar. I wound up buying the Cloud Supreme & couldn't be happier. Great video. Very informative.
Please reply. Your stats with your wife are similar with my husband and I. I too suffer from sciatica / hip / back / neck pain. How did the Nectar work out for the two of you? I'm worried it will be too firm for me. That is what we are dealing with now on our NEW mattresses - and also my husband. I did read online if you find it too firm... and add a mattress topper... it can solve the problems. Just gun shy to try again since our last experience has been so horrid!!!! Thus, here I am doing more research.
Hello I'm interested in getting one of these bed in the boxes but I really don't know which one is right for me since it seems like you're an expert on them I'm the type of guy that when I wake up my back hurts I have 2 literally rolled out of bed instead of getting up out of bed I also heard that polyester foam is plastic and that's the reason why the beds get lumps after having them for a while could you inform me about this also cuz I know the majority of these beds are made from that on their foams so can you let me know which bed is right and if this is something that I have to worry about on the polyester thank you
I have the Nectar and I find it to be too firm for my liking. It's my first foam mattress I've tried. I'm a side sleeper who is 6' and 230 lbs. Do you recommend anything that is softer around this price range?
They have a rreally good foam core so its a little firmer underneath. They will get softer as they're used. But any others in the range could feel softer cause the cores are not as good. Check out love and sleep from nest. That's a solid mattress for the price but not build as well as nectar with foam quality anyway. Theres many softer that are more expensive. Shoot me an email off the site and I can send some others.
Real Mattress Reviews hi I am in desperate need of a supportive very soft gentle mattress. I am frail, thin, and injur easily, so I can’t handle a mattress with too much resistance. I had the sleepy’s Shakespeare’s beauty rest Avondale pillow top bought 8 years ago. I know mattresses are diff now. But that is what I can handle
I recently got the Nectar mattress, however it sleeps way too hot. I see on your site you have 3 other options for hot sleepers, Bear, Hyphen, and Pangeabed, which one is the best for cooling?
Hi Grant, some of the best of stuff I'm moving around too, I was waiting for my web guy to add something in to maunlly move them. However, pangea should be cooler, Matsleep, anything firmer or perhaps having latex on top rather than memory foam. Have you tried just ordering a cooling mattress protector? Most of the beds will end up cose to your body temp regardless.
The bottom one I sell. The 1st one I think is prob more effective though. I sell pillows with this outlast material and they def are cooler. It's a tad pricey but its something you can use on any mattress if you decide to switch. There could e similar ones for less if you google it, I'm not sure though. realmattressreviews.com/slumber-cloud-mattress-pad-review/ realmattressreviews.com/slumbercool-mattress-protector-review/
I appreciate the help, just not 100% sure if I should return the Nectar and go with one of the two you mentioned above, as the price with the cooling mattress protector would put it at or over the price of the Pangeabed. I've used latex pillow's that have the pass through holes, even with a wool cover over them they are not too hot. Just feels like the Nectar is trapping the heat right at the surface and it just compounds itself. Again appreciate the help!
Mattresses hardly cost anything to make, they are extremely profitable, and so nectar still makes amazing money being so affordable, Tempurpedic was early in the market for memory foam beds and so they have a reputation they can leverage and gouge people with, but hopefully with all of these bedinabag brands popping up brands like tempurpedic will be forced to change or die out.
inklingPro 1980 exactly! This is why Amazon is taking over. They are getting rid of the middleman and linking consumers directly to producers. They cut out all the gloat and give the best price. Companies like nectar benefit big-time from this. They can give a good quality product under a better business model for a better affordable price.
That's actually not true. When it comes to name brands, retail stores are only suppose to charge what the manufacturer of the mattress tells them to charge. I actually just check three different retailers for the price of the new Tempur pro adapt memory foam mattress, and all three are selling the exact same price, which also by the way is the same price on tempur-pedic's own website. But Tempur-pedic is pretty much the name EVERYONE knows. When you think of memory foam mattress, you instantly think of tempurpedic. Plus they also have the history where they originated from the same material used in the cushioning for NASA space shuttles and such. I kind of want to try a Nectar or Puffy mattress now, since I see those ads ALL the time on youtube now.
Can you please do a pressure map on Purple mattress? Also comparison between Nectar and Purple would be amazing!

2007hype I mean you better be happy for $2000+ lol
My wife and I just ordered a Nectar. She's 5'2 110, I'm 5'10 180. She also deals with Sciatics. Do you think it will be good for both of us?

What mattress did you get after all?
Which foam
mattress feels the most like the Tempur Pedicure?
Nectar

Hey!!!! What happened to the *TRANSITION* layer of foam on the Nectar??? How come no one's talking about this???
J B this is an old video. All the newer videos show the transition layer
They added the transition layer later. This was the old design.
How come the Nectar is so much cheaper?
Mattresses hardly cost anything to make, they are extremely profitable, and so nectar still makes amazing money being so affordable, Tempurpedic was early in the market for memory foam beds and so they have a reputation they can leverage and gouge people with, but hopefully with all of these bedinabag brands popping up brands like tempurpedic will be forced to change or die out.

They don’t make the same mattresses they did 20 years ago too, those ones would still be fresh even after 20 years
Can you do an egg 🥚 test like they do on the purple mattress on Nectar
So basically temperpedic is a rip off. Got it.
If you want to stay cool, with a lot of memory foam, then temperpedic isn’t a rip off.
God that drum beat in the background is annoying
Slept n had so much sex on my nectar. Returned it back 9 months later for n new nectar. Best warranty ever😂
