First I want to thank you for these amazing tutorials about Affinity Designer which helped me a lot to figure out how to use some tools and become creative I wanna ask you for a favour if you don't mind. I want to do Arabic caligraphy in Vector in Affinity Designer but Affinity Designer doesn't support caligraphy brushes. I was wondering if you can make a tutorial on how you can create vector brushes for caligraphy in Affinity Designer. Thank you so much.
You are welcome! Great suggestion! ...but even brushes won't help as the brushes rotate with the curve. For calligraphy you would want a brush that keeps its angle and shape consistent to the page not the curve. Inkscape is offering that... and my next big tutorial or set of tutorials will most likely be about using both tools together to fill the gaps in either application.

I am not sure what exactly the problem is. You are creating a trunk and adding/adjusting nodes to it. This should be a common task and not cause any issues. Are you using the node tool or did the UI switch to the corner tool? I would suggest a new document. A simple rectangle, convert it to curves and see if you can modify it in there.
