Clearly what's missing here is the old bobby on the beat we used to have, the community copper who would walk around, chat with local residents and deal with issues like this amicably, using common sense. Kids kicking a ball against somebody's wall and windows for hours on end in an area which is clearly not a playground isn't on and the local bobby would've fixed this without all the escalation we've seen here.
@@Corruption-uncensored I hope you're seeking further advice on this. Those kids are clearly guilty of anti-social behaviour which is a police matter and they need to be dealing with it.
We've had kids running around in our building they kicked the doors down to get in, tired to set fire a couple of times luckily to fireproof flooring, ripped banisters off. The building is only twenty years old. Not a thing we could do, this is dangerous for the children when men in a building of flats are getting annoyed, that's worse for the kids if one lost their temper, than being told to stop it by police. They grew and moved on, not seen them for ages. How horrendously you are being treated, i don't get it. Times have changed i guess the agenda is different now maybe
Don't worry about it at all. You've turned up and done your bit, that's their response it's wrong but that's on them. Just fight your corner where you can and stay strong, knowing that you've done everything you can to fight back. This is outrageous. You could have it taken as far as court and your videos shown, but what if they don't give you the chance to play then to prove you are being provoked. Thankfully you are knowledgeable and stronger than most. I'm sorry for your stress i wish the Mums would side with you and tell the lads to pack it in xx
@@k91985 you and me both but unfortunately these kids are gonna be allowed to do whatever they please now and there’s nothing I can do about it without risking breaking the CPW. This whole thing has led me to drink and I am currently a little bit drunk
@ but the fact is that they are NOT ALLOWED TO. Do you seriously think that it’s OK for them to play ball games where there are signs clearly stating NO BALL GAMES? These signs are in operation through the whole estate, not just bits of it.
@ The signs apply everywhere on the estate. Not just one part of the estate. Anyway I even said that if the kids keep to the grass areas they will limit their chances of hitting the property and my windows and limit the chance of hitting someone else. They can play on the grass to their heart content- I don’t care about that. What I do care about is preventing damage to my property where possible.
@SusanAnderson-r7v I've got two sons and a grandson, I'd be terrified to let them go out where you live, so I do get it, but can't you all work together to get the council to give them a safe place? This is your lady to make that happen, and it would be a good example to the kids.
When we were kids we played with a tiny sponge tennis sized ball, we were allowed to use that to throw high on the houses, bounce back down and catch. But we didn't even consider a footy any where near the walls of any property other than the park, and our Mums would have walloped us if we had xx
When i lived in new Zealand they had a lovely kids area with skate area etc and a little hut in the middle of it all, which may or may not have a policeman inside it at any given time. It was really good, it kept baddies away. If i was the parents of those boys at this point id be changing my mind and apologising to you, because it's so wrong what has happened today and even they know it, even the kids know, and i hope they apologise to you theirselves one day. A young lad spat on me once, it took him a couple of years but one day he suddenly said sorry. It wasn't his fault he was taught to be like that.

@@k91985 I don’t make the rules unfortunately but I guess it’s because of the high chance of hitting and breaking something or someone getting hurt by a football. There’s a real mixture of people here from young people to elderly and disabled people. I think it’s possible that the landlord wants to limit the possibility of such things happening. I don’t honestly know.
@@k91985 Back in the day we had police who would walk the beat, talk to local residents and deal with issues like this using a bit of common sense. A friendly word with the parents telling them it's not a kids play area would've been enough to put an end to it. Nowadays it seems we have cops with no idea of the real situation attempting to work to the letter of the law which even they don't truly understand.

Lastly, if police told them to stay away they would immediately. So why aren't they allowed to do so? Seems like they are not allowed?
