Join me, Saddlebags7, and my Saddlebags73 amazing subscribers on his annual rideout across the stunning landscapes of Dartmoor! 🏍️🏞️ This year, I’m riding my trusty Honda NC750X, taking on the scenic routes and terrains with my fellow riders.

As everyone knows, you have been a huge help with the social rides in many ways. Your moral support and encouragement, to the leading of groups for me. The truth is I really don’t think I could have done it without you and I hope you know how much I appreciate it. Thank you ER…bit tearful myself now…….might have to do it all again 🤣

It was a honour as always SB...There are others that can do my job leading group 2 now but really appreciate you letting me do it...I'm just there for the ride and the people as much as you are.
Maybe you should have a vote to see if others think you should do it again. Pick a sunny day for a change though.

i hope one day to make a trip to England to see everyone in real life. i am thinking earliest is next year 2025. but if i move to Tennessee, i will have spent the money i saved to take a trip. who knows how life ends up. always a want in life

Lovely vid, ER, despite some crappy spells of rain. Unfortunately I was unable to attend.
I believe Dartmoor in the not too distant past was clad in many more trees than we see nowadays. In many journals and maps it is still listed as Dartmoor Forest.
The conifer plantations which disfigure the moor are not indigenous to the area. They were planted mainly due to possible requirements of WW2.

It really was a wet ride Jim, so no one will blame you for not going...not sure I would have if I didn't know many of the others there.
I did think of you that day alot and the others that couldn't be there that are part of the team.
It still felt like you were there in many ways to me. Hopfully SB will do another.....I'll start laying on the pressure

I'll be aboard a bike finally. A classic 350 dark in black. I'd been watching a local dealer for ages and one came up at a great price, £3399 with only 361 miles on it. I snapped it up

@@exeterrider Not near you no. It's a dealer near Heathfield east Sussex. Very established. The sales man asked me if I'd bought a bike from them before? I said yes in 1980!!

I recognise most people there now. Dartmoor is a moody lady but she let you see her so she must have liked you, some people only get thick fog. Hopefully I'll get to a meet up one day before I have to do it on a mobility scooter 😂

Wonderful to see a group ride through gorgeous countryside.
I haven’t done a group ride since the early 2000’s. We’d get out of LA and head to Julian for pie or rural Santa Barbara for lunch. Great memories.

As a yoof I remember every Saturday and Sunday going for group rides and camaraderie. Screaming our 2 strokes around the countryside attending bikers cafes. Wish I could be there but was lovely to be vicariously present. Poor isn’t it that this time of the year can’t even have a nice day but didn’t dampen spirits

Yes in theory it could be the last one, and I did get a bit choked with the thought I may not see everyone together again.
They don't call me pansie for nothing you know....such a good bunch there as you know and many more that can't make it such as yourself with it being a road ride etc.
The best UA-cam community is in the westcountry I'm sure of it.

Ha, yes i bet he did need a clean, infact the way SB was a couple years ago ,it would have never gone out on such a day...I was surprised to see him turn up on it.

It's been great seeing the SB social ride from various people's perspectives and whilst the camera angles change the atmosphere and spirit of the day remains steadfast. This was a great summery of the day, so congratulations to you ER for the support you gave SB, the guidance you gave to the group and a great edit. I'd love to have been part of it myself but it's a journey of several hundred miles just to get there. I've since had the pleasure of meeting and riding with Noob during his Scotland trek and hope to meet Derek and one or two others when they also journey North.

Thank you so much for mentioning those of us who live too far away to make it. We would all have loved to have been there.
I'm sure that if I lived ANYWHERE in the UK, I would have made the effort to get to SB73s recent social rides. Unfortunately, as a dog owner, it would just take too much time for me to ride to the UK and back. I probably couldn't skive off work for that long either !
It was a real shame about the weather but hopefully most ( if not all ) were equipped to deal with it.
