- Royal Enfield Meteor 350 First Ride,Thoughts
Here are some key features and thoughts about the Royal Enfield Meteor 350:
Design: The Meteor 350 has a classic cruiser design with a comfortable riding posture, making it suitable for long rides and city commuting alike.
Engine: It is powered by a new 349cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine. This engine is designed to be smoother and more refined compared to previous Royal Enfield models.
Performance: The Meteor 350 is not meant to be a high-performance motorcycle but rather a relaxed and comfortable cruiser, delivering adequate power for daily riding and highway cruising.
Comfort: The bike is known for its comfortable riding position and cushioned seats, which is essential for long rides.
Handling: The Meteor 350 handles reasonably well, but it's not a sportbike, so it's better suited for leisurely rides rather than aggressive cornering.
Features: Depending on the variant, the Meteor 350 may come equipped with modern features like a digital instrument cluster, Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, and more.
Reliability: Royal Enfield has been working on improving the reliability of their motorcycles, and the Meteor 350 is expected to be more reliable compared to some of their older models.
Price: The Meteor 350 is generally positioned at a competitive price point compared to other cruiser motorcycles in its segment.
Overall, the Royal Enfield Meteor 350 is targeted towards riders who prioritize a classic cruiser style, comfortable riding experience, and a relaxed approach to motorcycling. Like with any motorcycle, individual experiences may vary based on personal preferences and riding styles. Before making a purchase, it's always a good idea to take a test ride and read reviews from multiple sources to get a comprehensive understanding of the bike's performance and suitability for your needs.

It's been an year since i own one.... being from a 3rd world country, its the best I could afford.... always makes me happy when I swing a leg over it....
It was a awesome bike you owned, fantastic👍
I have several bikes but my Meteor 350 is special. A delight to ride, quick enough for the road in normal circumstances and a complete bargin. RE have soul in their DNA.
Well put ! Yes there is something special about this one I agree.
i've got the 350 classic reborn and the more i ride it, the slower i get. it's such a joy.
They put a mile on your face : )
I have had a lot of bikes over the years, but the meteor is the most relaxing ride of all buy one and you won't regret it.
Too right, it's hard to understand for other people. You have to ride one for an hour at least to settle initio it 👍
Im on my second Meteor and they are a cracking bike, my current one is the Supernova Blue. Great touring bike and have done 275 miles in one day without problem. Happy to sit on the motorway at 70mph all day too.🙂👍
My 750cc Honda just sits in the garage nowadays. My Meteor is my Go To bike. It's comfy, reliable, fast enough around town and the lanes and I really like the heel/toe shifter. Keen price when I bought it and I get more comments about this bike than from many a faster and more expensive bike.
My beloved fireball yellow here in North Thailand just hit 11,000 miles, pure joy every one of them...! Issues so far..? None..!
*Crap Game* 🎉
Brill👍🍻
I know what you mean. I've been using the meteor more than anything else.
I really enjoy my classic 350 seem to always come home with a smile and really that has to be what having a motorcycle should be about .
100% mate, RE specialize in that 👍
A good review Steve, thank you and it was good to see your chat with Jcqui last night.
Ahh thats great Janner Thanks for watching this and joining in the live show last night.
I have now subbed to your channel incase you decide to film anything. I really enjoyed watching Saddles vid with you doing Connors pass etc ...Thanks
Thanks Steve I an not Tec know enough as yet for filming much but maybe will have a go sometimes.@@exeterrider
Between this and the hunter for me,,iv had a 600cc suzuki gsr for 5 months now as a first big bike,,already find its too much power for normal A/B roads, never use in half the power,,these bikes seem perfect for my riding,,great review there,,definetly intrested in down sizing,,thanks
Exactly, try one of these...fantastic!
My meteor 350 was unbelievably slow and yes i like riding it but was a bit dissatisfied with the performance but now 1600 miles down the road and it goes much better than I expected, i’ve done a few little mods and its a fantastic bike to ride and i have total confidence in it so anybody thinking about getting one needs to be aware that a test ride will tell you nothing about the performance or braking as my brakes didn’t reach their full potential until a 1000 miles had gone by the back shocks would rattle my teeth on pot holes n bumps now the brakes are progressive and strong and the ride is getting better every-time i get out, the motor feels way more powerful and my pal at the mot station after i let him have a go actually said to me “ i thought these were only about 20 ponies but thats probably just the classic cos that flies around the town don’t it” so I didn’t argue
amazing bikes : )I'm 1200 miles in now : )
I guess that's why it's a "cruiser". Honestly, I wish more people would ride like you.
That's nice thanks, although I don't think my riding is that great tbh.
I really enjoyed my time on the Meteor, and if I get another bike, I'm seriously considering this one.
Yeap, I'm really enjoying it👍🍻
Good to see that you've now got the opportunity to really get to know the Meteor over a longer period. You're absolutely spot on with the way that the RE 350s give you that Zen state of mind. I exchanged my Meteor after 2500 miles for a second Hunter which suit my riding needs rather better. Good to see Exeter Quay in the sunshine too.
Peter
Hi Peter, nice part of the world down there isn't it.
I really like the meteor, and have the hunter next, I wonder if I'll like it more? I like the look of the meteor more at the moment tbh
@@exeterrider Hi Steve. Yes I always liked the look of mine though it was the riding position I found didn't suit. As soon as the Hunter became available I got one and then I knew that was what felt right for me. Enjoy your next few weeks with the Meteor and I look forward to your conclusions. Garry certainly loves his Buddy. P
@@Lanes-Explorer5733 intresting to know, although I'm not a cruiser type I don't mind the ride postion. Although the potholes and the suspension go right up my back.
Maybe the hunter is the one.
@@exeterrider Aha yes indeed - that's what finally made me change to the Hunter - I found the shocks up the spine too much. The Hunter has a much more 'normal' positioning and easy to get up onto the footpegs when things get really bad - as they are on our country (and town) roads now.
Lovely mate !
Your enthusiasm for this amazing little bike really comes through.
I also notice that you VERY NEARLY said that you have a friend in FRANCE who has one 😂 You should have gone for it mate, I would have wet myself !
Although the engines are the same, the Meteor definitely feels happier than the Classic when you shift up through the gears nice and early.
Probably due to the larger rear wheel, a not fully run in Classic 350 always needs a few more revs on before it will comfortably take the next gear.
I THINK this is why I always preferred the Meteor. The engine and gearing are so perfectly matched to encourage early upshifts and riding like that you really feel like you are riding a bigger cruiser.
A cracking first ride review and the SuperNova in Brown/Black is growing on me. Certainly looked smart in the Exmouth sunshine 👍🏻
As you now know, the fuel economy is amazing, particularly if you ride the bike like it should be ridden and they seem to be extremely well finished. I will be doing a two year review on mine soon but it still looks absolutely brand new. There is NOTHING on Buddy which doesn't look brand new after two years.
I will be in touch in a minute Steve, I was thinking that maybe we can have a little catch up over the weekend.
Take care and speak soon. I'm really glad that you "get" the Meteor. It just has something magical about it and it's hard to put into words !
Cheers ER
El Outro and Roby
Yes I got it wrong, it should have been France! Yes on paper the meteor is a better option than the classic I think. Its left a dent on me as you know 🤔👍
I just put a 16 tooth front sprocket on mine and i thought it was a happy bike before but now it’s noticeably better at cruising on A roads and 4th gear is way more useful than before , maybe not the same fore everyone as these things are subjective but for me its way better , 65 /70 is way easier but the spread in the lower gears isn’t wrong either as first always feels a bit under geared anyway but not anymore it feels like the original gearing was for India and now its right for the Uk
@@NoelRoots-t1u Hi Noel.
Yes the 16 tooth front sprocket is a worthwhile mod if you spend a fair amount of time at 60 mph and above.
Fortunately I don't need to ride fast roads at all. Here it is very mountainous, so I don't really want to increase the gearing because the shorter OEM gearing copes really well with my local mountain roads. Usually I can just leave the Meteor in fourth gear, maybe dropping to third on tighter bends and swing it about.
If it was flatter here and I needed to ride fast roads to get to the good roads, then I too would probably change the front sprocket.
Glad to hear that the 16T is working well for you ! Love the Meteor !!!
Cheers Noel,
ER2
Another great video, looking forward to seeing more.
Plenty coming on this one Mike👍
Excellent review. I've just collected my new to me 22 plate Classic 350. I test rode both the Meteor and the Classic and really found them both comfortable, and really had difficulty choosing between the two. Different riding positions but I found them both extremely comfortable, but I think for me the Classic had just the edge - but that's a personal thing and everyone is different. I also love the traditional look of the Classic 350 - just got to keep on top of all that chrome and polished alloy. Love the bike and in two weeks have racked up almost 1000 miles. Just a bike that you want to ride all the time. Its the only bike I have had where rather than having my music playing I prefer to listen to the sound of that engine....it makes its own music😁
That was like poetry there Steve. The classic is a beautiful bike.
As you say, it's a personal choice, my heart says classic, but my brain says meteor due to tubeless tyres, and having a screen, but no wrong answer there. Thanks for your input 🙏👍🍻
Thanks
Volt ,Thanks so much mate...appreciate it as you know and equally appreciate you being here and having a laugh....I hope we can meet one day. Thanks very much : )
What a beautiful colour scheme, stunning. I have a Classic and love that little bike, the engine is a cracker. I had a heal and toe gear change on an old Honda C90 back in the eighties and never thought anything of it, would be interesting to try it now and see if that view changed. Sounds like you going to have a great time on that bike and look forward to the videos.
I am for sure, so many good times on it already!
Just watched this again ad my daughter is now showing an interest in her full licence and she really likes the meteor.
So now she is looking through meteor videos, so I introduced her to the mighty Exeter Rider 😎👍
Thanks very much mate, honestly it would be a good choice, lighteasy, lots of torque, decent ABS.... So much going for it, only issue will be keeping dad off of it because he won't want to stop riding it.
Good review mr Exeter.
I’m looking forward to your future vids on the meteor. Funnily enough I was watching Stuart Fillingham’s review of the hunter today and he rated it well ‘the 350 is the sweet spot in single cylinder bike engines’ his words.
Yes I tend to agree I think.
4 the money its the clear winner 🏆 😊
Yeap amazing value!
Had my Meteor nearly two years and 7000 miles, performance is better than ever, only down side is a hard ride especially on the rough Devon roads, otherwise can't fault it.
Are you local James, I'm looking to chat with an owner of your up for that? You Exeter based?
@jamesbarrie2458👍
Great video, and I love the way you put it - that it puts you into a "state of Zen." I had the same experience of learning a new way to ride, more calmly, and actually enjoying it. The Meteor really has a way of doing that like no other bike has for me. I came from a much more powerful bike and was wondering how much I would miss the extra speed. At first, I did just a bit. But this bike has such a vibrant spirit to it, and makes up for it in so many ways. It's extremely comfortable, handles great, looks fantastic, and sounds absolutely intoxicating. It's really won me over, and I find myself making excuses to ride it, even if just around the block, because I enjoy it so much. Oh, and then there's the 80mpg - love that too!
I couldn't have put that better myself...well said.
You must be riding fast because I'm getting 103MPG on mine, well theirs...but mine.
Had mine a year and have done over 4K on it, it excels on back roads, Monday got drenched on bike even in the wet it’s capable.
Thats good to know, I havent had the guts to ride it in the rain yet, its too nice and I dont want to ruin the vibe ha!
I’ve had one of these in my stable for a six months now, and I love it! I actually ride it more than my Bullet 500!
This is the problem I have , this the Bullet or Hunter ?!?!?!?!?!?
@@exeterrider well, I chose the Meteor AND the 500 Bullet! Best of both worlds for me! Also, only cost me £131 fully comp FOR BOTH BIKES on my insurance. I’m 59 and live in a rural area.
@@exeterrider if you can only have one bike, try the Classic 350 for that Bullet style, unless you really feel comfortable on the Meteor, then get that.
Bought a brand new blue Supernova last year. Absolutely love the bike. She has a wonderful charm to her. I put a pipe on her and an air box mod which really helped her breath and a bit more piff. 5500 miles on her now. Iv a collection of 12 bikes but 9 times out of 10 when I open the garage door I wheel out the Royal enfield.
If you own a Meteor you're a meteorite...
Check out my walk round video of mine..
Thanks for the video 🏁🏁
Good to know the meteor is what comes out first. Very nice bike 👍
Last Month, Royal Enfield had a demo day I had planned on going to. Unfortunately I was I'll that day and missed it. Needless to say I was bummed. They had the entire line up for rides too.
Great looking bike. I can see why you like it so much.
Ahh gutted Kode, RE will take some time getting used too for you id imagine being so used to the other end of the scale with Hondas etc.
But if you "get it" then it really is a game changer, it takes a while to recalibrate 👍
Great bikes, I use mine as daily transport, just crossed 12000 miles this year, all on stock parts still, 100mpg regularly, no brainer
It really is, great bikes these are 👍
Loox nice and smart with the blacked out engine. Good colour scheme overall too.
Yes indeed! shes a looker!
Great review, and thanks! As for France, I live in Burgundy, some 150 miles South of Paris. I had a Harley until some 5 years or so ago and found the condition of the roads, in the UK, especially motorways, to be downright dangerous, wheras here the roads are far safer. Almost no potholes at all.Anyway, having owned bikes off and on since âge 17, my new Meteor Stellar is due to arrive next week, just in time for my 79th birthday. Happy New Year for 2025 and safe riding!
Good news, They take 2000 miles or so to settle in but when they do ......wonderful bikes....I have plenty more on the channel on this bike, including some good mods: )
Very nice, don't see many poor reviews of the meteor and it has avoided the speedo issue that the classic 350 suffers from. Looks like you'll have had an enjoyable time with this one.
I really did, I wasnt aware of the speedo issue...this isnt perfect.....more coming : )I watched your vid yesterday....great intro(effort) Ill have to check I commented later.
The speedo problem on the classic 350 was cracked down by several owners to be dirty connections behind the front light.
@@Stefan_trekkie Ian Hughes channel tried that, he had a replacement speedo after it got stuck. The new one failed, so he tried cleaning the connections - worked for a little while then got stuck again. There's a few 350 classic vloggers with duff speedos or had them replaced.
I'm on my 3rd Classic 350, the first two had the speedo issue. The problem is caused by the glass on the Speedo head distorting when there's heat such as sunshine reflecting on the glass and it traps the needle where it pivots. There is a modified speedo available now to rectify the problem. As a temporary measure owners can stick a corn plaster over the centre of the glass where the pivot point is and it stops the problem.! Great bike otherwise🙂👍
@@jonathandeeley6276 I thought you had a Meteor for some reason Jon....can I ask why you got rid of the other 2 classics? Not just the speedo issue I take it? Reminds me of KTM have big issues like this with their speedos.
You do a marvellous job, as you say so much to do, I like that you found time to paint a woodpecker on that cannon 👍😊
Oh and thanks for the mention 5:01 🤗
No worries, I always try to plug beans. Any decent person would put £10 in the post for such a deed. I know your decent and Thanks in advance but you really shouldn't have.
@@exeterrider As a typical efluencer all my YT cash has been blown on powder and hoes 🥴
@@BeansOnToast_YT lucky you, I'm far too boring😂😴
The meteor is definitely a calming bike. I go out for a ride or tour and at the end of the day I could do it all over again. I do the same on my 4 cylinder 1200 triumph and I end up buzzing and pushing more when that wasn't really what I wanted. The only faults on my meteor were the stiff rear suspension initially, it's softened up over time plus I find them a real pain to adjust. I have to adjust them a lot as I switch between pillion and solo. Plus I have a MIL that keeps coming on and needs sorting. Also, mine loosened up as the miles racked up, by about 1,500miles it felt better and will run happily at top speed for ages. I'm now up to 4,500miles and it's even better.
Yes the shocks are the one thing that bus me. It's have to go after market if I had one I think.
I second all of this! It really does change ones state of mind into a calmer, more mellow "enjoy the ride" mindspace, which I love. Mine has just over 220 miles on it, and the rear suspension is definitely stiff. I was wondering if it might soften up over time, sounds like it will. Great comments, and great video @exeterrider!
Beautiful bike and more capable than most people think! Cant wait to see more , bloopers an all😂👍🏼
I adore it mate, lovely bike
Love the colour, I have a 2018 C5 500, I would love to know how they compare
Is the C5 a different engine? I cant rememeber them being around until 2021?
That paint in the sunlight looked great, excellent choice!
Thanks, Have you tried the Meteor? What did you think?
@@exeterrider I haven't tried one yet, it does look good and I'm okay with having a couple bikes that are more mello.
Beautiful bike and a bargain for the money , great video again mate keep up the good work 😎
Thanks, will do! Brill one this is for sure 👍🙏
Absolutely love mine
Looking forward to the review and very interesting that you found the 350 gave you something that was lacking in the 650. Looking forward to hearing more about that!
Both equally as good as each other, but I need a smaller bike more than a big one at the moment.🙂
I had the new classic 350 for close to a year and I trade it in but the bike was good. The reasons where many but it will take ages to explain. I almost made it in to a meteor. New taller handlebar, low rider seat, heel-toe gear lever. As Garry /Economical rides/ said to me - I should have gotten the meteor not the classic. The Classic was too shiney in a bad way, did not wanted to get it dirty but I needed more practical every day bike.
Hell-toe lever is a blast.. Got use to it on the classic within 1-2 days of riding and never looked back.
Hi Stefan, I recognise your name from Garrys shows. It seems to be a common story that people buy the classics and not keep them for too long. What do you own now. Helpful post for me this was Thanks
@@exeterrider I am riding mostly in and around big city~1.5 mil people with bad traffic and bad roads. And traded in the classic for a city scooter + surplus but is temporary fix.. My dream is the new adv350, that you have reviewed. That bike is literally everything that I need. The chap that took in my classic is riding it and loving it. He rides with his wife as pillion and it is very comfortable, they say.
Look forward to seeing the review, look like great little bikes.
They are! Coming soon.....ish
No one could blame you for already doing a good ride, I too love the Meteor 350, I know its down on power but it does everything else brilliantly, super classy.
You're spot on, there is a way to ride this bike specifically, it definitely a much more chilled ride.
I don't see many of the Hunters around, see a fair few classics, they are all class in their own way.
Great video mate, can't wait to see more videos with the Meteor.
Thanks RB, Its almost like the perfect all rounder and it dosent egg you on like many other bikes, it chills you out is what I'm finding. Puts a smile on your face.
What a lovely looking bike it really suits that colour, Now then I do believe you're talking my language, I have been thinking about one of those for a while but I haven't ridden one yet so I'm so looking forward to anything you have to say about it. You sound very keen and happy to ride it which is great. Can you give us some comparisons with the NC, such as comfort, power comparison in use, (I know the numbers but how does it compare in use), and fuel economy. Thanks mate I'm really looking forward to hearing your thoughts. Ride safe.
Hello Paul, totally different in every way compared to the NC. For me it would work well as a pullout and ride bike, but the NC is more of a bind to pull out I find.
It puts you in a good Zen mood, but it will take an hour to get the feel of it and how it wants to ride, also when they are new they are "tight" so they need 2k miles on them till they loosen up and you can get the full torque then, this one has done 1k now .
I have put 260ish miles on it so far and filled up once , it worked out I'm getting about 100mpg!
Its all about the ride with this one...If you can get a ride then go for it,BUT bear in mind it works best very low down the rev range and that mess with your head if your used to Japanese bikes. Totally different to the bikes I normally like but I still loves it😍
@@exeterrider Brilliant reply Thanks mate. I just have to ride one.
Wish I could take a ride around your town. Reminds me of my native New England, of course, very dangerous to drive on that side of the road. 😅
It is really nice down there for sure....summertime looks good anywhere mind : )
These seem to be super popular! The pricing is hard to beat
Yeap and so much more as well, comfort mpg etc etc👍
Surprisingly nice in brown 😊 It seems you are growing up ER and learning to appreciate the simple things 🤣

Beautiful looking bike!
It sure is!
Another great review. Big fan of your channel !
Much appreciated!🙂
ER riding a Copperbeech Bonze Meteor 350, what a lovely combo! I had a supernova in bronze myself. Regret selling but I went for more power...
I forgot that, I totally see why you wanted more power, its quite normal...for me having the NC I would have the best of both worlds here . The Meteor would get used more though. I like low down torqers... Do you miss yours?
for a small capacity low power bike this always seems to get excellent reviews.
It'll be interesting to see your opinion on why you like it.
Easy to work on, value for money, more smiles per mile than a lot of bikes, easy to get on with and ride, comfortable with good riding position, shed load of accessories for the bike ect, ect, ect 😊
Its just that Zen feeling you get riding it as mentioned in this one, the low down power is something I'm very fond of as well. It all works really well.
@@kevindarkstar pretty much my take on it, although the shocks are hard which is a shame.
@@exeterrider agreed, which is why I fitted a set of endurance gas shocks for the Bullit 500, which improved the ride 20-30% and cost around £80 the pair. 😀
@@kevindarkstar Yep, he's already been onto me about improving the ride and currently the Endurance units do seem to be the best option I've heard about.
I really want to get some myself but buying stuff from India is a real pain when you live in Spain. Customs give you SO MUCH grief AND you end up paying VAT twice, so everything ends up 21% more expensive. But a shock upgrade is absolutely THE ONLY THING that my little Buddy needs to be my perfect bike.
So I think it will have to be done at some point !
Cheers Kevin,
the other ER.
Now I'm going to grab a handful of beans on his channel.🥳
👆😉
Yes ER
They’re a lovely bike to ride very smooth crisp and easy to ride 😊
I couldn’t fault it
My friends have one and love it 2 up 😊😊
Totally agree! Although I do have a couple of faults with it, more coming up....2 up its fantastic - agreed
I would like to see you do an all day ride in the saddle say 300miles. I have a Classic already and need a second bike (different continents) so looking at the Meteor. I need to be able to tour on but not "iron butt" stuff 😮
At this price point, you get rather more for your money than I did with my Raleigh ebike - even though I love it.
Yes you do really. Both are nice things for what they do 👍
That really has a quality look. While at the ABR I had a good look at them. They really have upped the offering. Quality is outstanding. Especially at that price point. If it wasn’t for the fact I wanted a light bike I would have bought a fireball in yellow. Or a super meteor. But then a conti GT looked appealing. I could go on!
They are working really hard and its paying off.
@@exeterrider couldn’t agree more 👍
thanks for this video btw, you're totally right! its a totally zen bike, very friendly and designed for miles of smiles! once you get it, you get it. i own a stellar black meteor 350 and love the fuck out of that bike. Ive also ridden the super meteor and i love the extra power on that one but i miss the heel shifter, but i believe its available as an option (?)
The heel toe is fantastic,,,I couldn't get used to it the first time around , but wouldn't change it now, superb!!! I want one!
How is the seat comfort for all day riding on the Meteor 350 ?
I've done it and it's fine 👍
Heal/toe shifter! It helps if you have no muscle memory in your right foot!😊 I have had so many complements on my Super Nova Brown.
I bet, I'm jealous : )
I couldn't get used to it, so one of the first things I did was adjust it so the toe portion was one notch higher on the spindle. Now, it sits where the ones on pretty much all the other bikes I've owned sat - much more comfortable for me, and super easy - took like 15 minutes ;)
If you think it pulls well now, try what I like to call the holy trinity of upgrades for the J-series engine, de-cat exhaust, dna performance air filter and cover and the fuel X lite 😁
Will it still feel RE though Kevin??....I know I'm being a bit boring haha
@@exeterrider actually, yes it certainly does feel royal enfield, just a bit more lively and pulls better up hills ect 👍🏻
@@kevindarkstar Amen : )
Royal Enfield are doing a great job at the moment. Its not my style of bike but can appreciate the looks and build quality. As for power I think you have to adjust your expectations (every bike seems down on power from my MT10!)
Funny this has just popped up, I was just watching my Mt10 (very old) video and it reminded me what a blast those bikes are.
And that sound ❤️. Yes your right, it is a adjustment and RE calibration when riding one of these 👍
@exeterrider I'm over 7 years with it. Zero issues, original battery. Best bike I've owned in 43 years of riding.
She's a keeper👍
What is the meteor like with a pillion.
I have a full review coming up with a pillion riding letting me know what they think...but in a nutshell ...Its very good!
I am glad you did not review a bike I want. But you do make me want to grow the channel so I can go to my local Indian dealership as they picked up RE as there drug of choice to get people motorcycling, as they are wanting people to then get an Indian later. I will see if I am the first one to offer, as I think I need to get to a couple hundred subs before I try. Thanks for the intro to the 350!
I say try now Blake, go for it! You know where i am if you need any help...not that i can do a lot... I'd be very interested in what you think of it coming from a w800 : ) Use the torque down low is the key.
@@exeterrider I did enjoy walking into the dealership as the ground level is Indian and they have an up stairs that about 30 feet by 30 that houses the RE lineup. RE has not shown his dealership on the website and he only advertises on Craigslist. Not sure what he has going, but he does ride a 500 with a side car to work as I was there when he showed up. We will see what comes from this discussion as you think it might be a possibility!
Gorgeous colour that. Wonder how Mr Dave's getting on with his Hunter on the back lanes. As for the Meteor, sell it to me. Says a lot that you want one. 😊
Ive been thinking of you alot with this bike Lilly, low light, forgiving...it may work for you!?
Up to 2500 miles on it now since January Lily, love it😍
@@exeterrider lower than the Hunter? It's always a possibility. Thanks for thinking of me😊
@@davidhawkins120 wow! You must love it to put on that many miles in this weather 😄
@@davidhawkins120 I wonder if I'm going to like the Hunter more!?
I can see one of these ending up as a permanent resident of the ER mancave.
Enfield have come a long way since the oil drippers of the 60's.
I like the Hunter but think it will be too small for me.
Yes I have a hunter coming Jim...the hunter will be too small but the Meteor may not be...super comfy, Arm chair peg position, I'm very tempted Jim. Easy to pull out and go which appeals. I was out huntsham looking at a job yesterday on it. Lovely lanes out there. I wonder if you would like that type of riding!?!? Low down power but not much of it . I definately get the Zen from this one, not perfect but lovely.
@@exeterrider The lanes around Huntsham and Uplowman are very pretty. I've done them on the Piaggio.
I wish I went in a bit deeper but maybe I did the best bits. Video coming on that and a bit on the canal.
@@exeterrider Good choice of words, ER?
@@jimsadler8704 You know me Jim 😂
Has anyone had issues with the riding position.
I get sciatica and the riding position looks comfortable but also seems like it could put weight on your lower back?
I prefer the look of the meteor but i think the Hunter's riding riding position might suit me more as it's one I'm used to.
Its reletive what you say and I do get Sciatica normally when riding a push bike would you believe!!! Thats what kicks mine off anyway.
sciatica is caused in different ways and varies from person to person.
For me Although its feet forward pegs, it hasn't caused me any issues at all and I have it quite comfortable overall, yes there is biast weight to the bottom of my back but not really as much as you may think.
Cheers E.R
I'm going to have to test one out.
I think it's pushing heavy bikes in and out of the garage that sets mine off. Especially when I lean it into me.
I used to ride a few sports bikes and I found my back was ok hunched over.
I'm leaning more towards the hunter but I'd like to at least have a short go on a meteor as I think it could change my mind.
@@letni9506 I think you might, I have a Hunter at the moment and will be doing a comparison video. They are both amazing bikes but the Meteor takes it for looks I think.... Lots coming on both bikes 👍🍻
I have a bad back (got hit by a car) and when I looked at both Honda and RE, the petal position and upright seating have caused zero back issues. I have had mine for a year and absolutely love it.
It looks old school. Laid back riding is what its all about.
It's a cracking ride, you should try one 👍🍻
@@exeterrider bring it here then. I'll see you in an hour.
@@EpicAdamMotovlogs ok👍
@exeterrider I'm not free until 6. I might have to pop your way soon
Won't be today, it would be good to see ya!
Which do you prefer, the Meteor or the Classic?
I have this exact problem at the moment....I need to ride the classic again to find out, I hope they will let me have one for a bit at some point tbh.
Love the bike but without twin clocks - ruins it for me.
Twin clocks? As in the tripper and speedo?
Oooh! Saddlebags is going to need a waft of smelling salts when he sees this one! 😁🤣
👆😂Hes a sucker for an RE Ken, as am I ...here about time your had a play on one. Get rid of Big Bird AT for a big Himalayan , I can't take you moaning about about the AT anymore.
@@exeterrider 🤣🤣 The A/T has it's uses TBF....... Remember that old John Cleese sketch where he thrashes his misbehaving car with a branch? Well.... you might find the odd twig hanging off the A/T..... 🤣🤣 TBH I'd considered a Himmi but I'm a bit put off by the fact that it's about the same weight as the AT ( Both heavier than my ol' beemer...)
Research counter steering bub
Wil do!
They top out at 75 mph.
350 over a 650 , ??? you are getting old - olive ;;
🤣🤣👍It will be 3 wheeled motorbikes next.
