OMG, thanks soooo much! This worked on my 2016 Kia Sportage! Beyond grateful! Starting the new year great!!! Happy New Year's to you and your family! Thanks for this helpful video!
Thank you, from Oz. Just went to pick up my wife, and got that "Key not detected". Luckily it started on 2nd try, but I was worried about it the whole trip.
Amazing, thank you, I've just tried and it works! A bit earlier this morning my 2013 Sorento automatic died on me when I was at the filling station. I finally managed to get it started by keeping on pressing the brake and start button (as per another piece of advice and it finally started - whew!). This way however is so much simpler, easier and quicker. I've just shown my wife so that she knows as well, thanks again!
Thanks so much! We were stuck 1 hr from home and I knew my battery was weak or not unlocking the door sometimes. Batteries are on order but our sorento finally wouldn't start. Tried multiple times but this worked instantly. I wonder how this works. Maybe the signal is just strong enough at close proximity?
You're Welcome! We do not have battery change video for the Sportage specifically but the battery change for the key fob shown in this video can be found here ua-cam.com/video/AASRNahf6ow/v-deo.html
Hi I have this same vehicle, lately there's a beeping when I turn off the ignition as normal? No doors ajar , I checked the gas cover the hood, nothing is out of sorts and no lights on, on the dash?
I don't believe you can if the vehicle is locked and then you open it with the emergency key but once the vehicle is started using the method shown in the video it should shut the alarm off
ok being handicapped this is the second battery from KIA dealer in a month and its not my alternator because AAA jump started it right away and actually there wasnt even a bad cell either the only thing i wonder i have a lift on my car for my scooter and i noticed the installers stupidly rather then zip tied the wiring harness around the swing away arm it was left hanging too close too the muffler and months ago noticed that the wires seemed melted i mean the lift normally i dont use my car on to use the lift because theres so little amps used too the battery i am having the harness replaced is it possible i mean its strange this KIA new replacement battery days ago worked fine and has been then the ABS and AEB light lit thats dangerous i know it could be a sensor however i think if there is a short from those melted wires seems cant it cause drainage too the battery even if the lifts not being used how can i open up my hatch i cant stand im handicapped and if the battery was so dead odd that day the side mirrors opened up its a 2017 normally if the battery is dead they do not open and the then got into my car was odd the car was dead and then another message the battery in my key pharb is new it was showing to start the car using the farb to the engine button didnt work
What If We Have only Manul Key Fob Which Is Nothing But A Key Cuz Now Kia Is Giving Only Key Fab With another Manual Key For The Top Model Because Of Semiconductor Issues They'll give after 6 months So What If We Lost The Main Key With Whole Key Fab And We Need Use Only Normal Key ???
What about on a 2006 Murano Nissan when you put the wrong key in and it shut down the system and you put the original key in it it won’t Work so that so that may be what do I need reprogramming
can I ask do you have any video on a 2012 Kia rio, I have changed my battery and lights, indicators heater are not working , windows , windscreen wipers and engine working any ideas where to go to
My 2013 Kia Sorrento the holder assembly button has burnt out and the dealership has it on back hold her year the number is I wanted to ask you what is the alternative to this part can you please help me no one else has been able to
good morning i have a kia sonet 2022 and one of the key fob keeps running down the battery. if i change the battery today (cr2032) in about a day or two the battery would go dead i have tried different brands and same problem and suggestion. thanks again.
My kia sorento sometimes will not turn completely off. And the light for the push start/off turns orange . I have to keep turning on and off multiple times until it turns off completely and the orange light disappears
This could be a result of not properly having the Sorento fully in park. I had this issue and couldn't properly turn it off. It ended up being that my phone was sitting in front of shifter knob and although it said it was in park, the phone blocked it from fully being in the park position. Once I moved my phone the sorento turned off properly.
I did this and it did try to turn over but the break pedal wouldn't press and the entire lights illuminated not giving a clue to what the issue was - just heard a weird sound over and over again until I pressed the start button again. Would anyone know if it's the battery and if I "jumped it" it would work? Both batteries in my fobs are brand new (ie: I just put new ones in and this still happened).
@@fikribaharudinchannel2299 battery was dead unfortunately. I jumped it once and the next time I needed to start my car it needed another so that was the tell tale sign that I needed a new battery.
@@PYR-Auto Yes the fob battery has been replaced recently. It is just that I disconnected the battery once, which I shouldn't have, when the battery died. So the fob stopped working, meaning that I can still use it to lock and unlock the car, but the car does not recognize when the fob is in the car, and I cannot start the car unless I push the staret engine button with the fob.
Thank you so much! Stuck in 20 degree weather and thought we were screwed! You saved our kids freezing while we waited hours for AAA!

There is a chip in the key that the vehicle can read if the key is held close enough - even if the key has no power
Yessss me too
Thank you! It worked with a Sorento 2021 😅

Very helpful. Thank you

All good but mine I have to do this every time I start the car ? Cleaned the battery terminals. 2019 kia sorento

I'm not really sure what you are asking but you will not be able to use a normal key with a push button start equipped vehicle
is there any tricks to auto fold side power mirrors when lock the vehicle? mine not do that when locking
I believe that is a setting that can be turned on or off in the vehicle settings

Some fobs just seems to do that unfortunately. The only long term fix may be to replace the fob.

Hi there. My 2016 Kia Sorrento has a red light on the Engine Start Stop ? How do you fix this

Where the heck is the key insert to do it manually?!
@@PYR-Auto. Found it! You have to remove the cover off of the ignition button. There you will find the key slot. Maybe it depends on the year?
How can I reset the fob so that I don’t have to push the fob into the start engine button to start the engine?
