Hi Brian, We met in Calgary 3 years ago when you came to speak to our EO Chapter. I picked you up at the airport and very much enjoyed our day together. To introduce you to my peers and family that night was a gold medal moment in my life as your tapes set me on the right path in life. Role models were lacking in my life as my mom raised 7 kids on her own. I was the youngest and had a great work ethic on the job but not so much in school. Your teachings helped me get off the road to nowhere and allowed me to believe in myself and my ability to make a difference in the world. This is our 32 year of Leading the World to better Balance at Fitter International Inc. and we were blessed to win the EY Entrepreneur of the Year award for central Canada. You may not know it but along with my many Tracy Books around my office is The Success Blue Prints with you and I standing confidently on the front cover. I am very proud of all you have done over 40 years and share you teaching daily with staff and friends. Not all get it or want to get it, but those who do are on a fast track to success and helping make this a better world. Brian, this 6 minute snip-it is awesome much like all your work! Thank you for helping me and so many others find our way in life! Be well Louis Stack
One habit that I would like the leader to develop is to br real and authentic- owning up the action, not fearful of criticism, accepting a mistake and fearless to take the challenge- that is authenticity to me
Hello, I am what my university's student mentoring program calls a LEAD mentor. I wanted to say that I agree with every word in this video. I'm 100% introverted (my chart literally had no extroverted component on it), but that does not mean I cannot lead. For example, I used to be so shy that I could not order my own food at a restaurant, but now, I have experience speaking in front of around 1000 people. How? It is exactly as you said: face your fears. The more you expose yourself to an uncomfortable situation, the more comfortable it will become.
Somebody said "greatness comes from being cool under pressure." Thank you Brian for this video. One habit I recently started doing is breathing and talking from the diaphragm. Nothing has helped me more than that in my years of research and practice of things to improve. That literally gives me confidence, calmness and makes me aspire to greatness. Thought to share that, it works marvels. Thank you!
Thank you so much..Mr Brian. I always follow up your videos. You just don't know how great being you are creating every single day. May God bless you and your beloved one.
I thank you for such valuable things you spread in each and evry video. I have startd speaking up in class in group discussion and really trying coming out of the nut shell. your videos are true source of inspiration for me sir thank you so much.
I will research my objective goal and learn everything I possibly can about it so I can avoid failure and know the risk Im taking will likely be a success.
From today i will do such actions which would eventually affect my feelings and boost up my self-confidence, i will face my fears, even the smallest of them and will come out of my comfort zone. Thank your Brian.
In my humble own opinion, one habit that we should start doing to build our leadership skills is to have continuous learning in this journey.Firstly, we should learn from our past and mistakes we had done as not to do the same mistakes again.Secondly, we should learn in the present time to appreciate what we have which make us be grateful always.Ultimately, we can make a step ahead to be a better person and also built a better platform for us to stand for our love ones and those that surrounding us.
Your my mentor and help gain a clear direction on my goals. Thank you. May I also say that you have a very soothing relaxing voice and are the only one I can listen to without getting annoyed.
Thanks Brian for the prompting. Facing fear down is key to me. There is always fear, but we get to be courageous when facing it. I will take action in spite of fear and look for areas that I have chosen to remain comfortable in the past.
Leader is someone who never fear to say truth in a crowd, never have fear of being lonely. In his eyes what matters is truth and goodness for him and as well for the others. He wants to serve his life for truthfulness and die with that trait.
thank you Mr Brian Tracy really u are spritual leader . because u are talking about the way that I am at moment (self cofidence) infact it's amazing!!!!
What I always believe is that without being a good example and having ethical characters, it's hard to be effective leader. Trusting team is another quality of leadership.
I am going to continue to take care of my personal development. I will start writing skills and techniques I need to learn as a CEO of an upcoming organization.
I'm going to step inside a new adventurous world.. Making my mind ready for seeing new things . . Unknown situations might be scary , we try to look at it jn an exciting way
Very nice leadership tips in your video Mr Brian. The qualities you mentioned, I have almost all of them in me Alhamdulillah, however one challenge that I always find it most difficult is when I am responding to a negative person, or a negative comment. There are certain times when you have very less time to react, work around that I have for it is to respond back in a positive manner and and putting aside ego and anger, it is indeed difficult but always turns out to be effective. I will be working on this part more and if you do have further tips for it, I would love to hear from you back. Many thanks
Upon principle show character nothing is what it is without character, strength of character. Churchill said in uncertain times only character can light the path ahead of us.🇬🇧🌄
Great stuff. my answer to your question is that in order to develop leadership skills, first, I will have a clear belief or value system and all my actions must align to these values even in difficult situations. I must also work on having skills in whatever I do as only then I could contribute as a leader. third, I must learn to be emphatetic and kind to people, the intent should be to help and empower people in some capacity.
This was great thank you so much, I feel like I have to lose the fear of the unknown. For example I have been working as a plumbers apprentice for almost a year and I feel like I'm ready to start my own business but I feel like i need to have more confidence in myself.
This stuck with me. “Leadership is more who you are than what you do” - Brian Tracy. God bless you for sharing this amazing gem with us. Friends, if this thought empowered you too, kindly like and share your thoughts with us.
I will start Courageous Leadership skill today ! but before I go on I'd like to know if I should do a Courageous act everyday or a Courageous act every week?
Hello, I have begun listening to member of the church that I lead so that everyone contribute the success of our church. As a leader I am also engaged in continuous learning in order to develop myself in the position of leadership. I would be very much interested to continue learning through video or either if you offer some educational training through the Internet to enhance my learning.
I always keep my perspective broadly, and ask myself the question what this action's pros and cons... If I can understand my team 's and my manager 's expectation , I can manage my decision truly...
I will stop resisting my urge to not practice technical skills after I learn them. My problem is that I learn skills, but don't see immediate use, so I forget them quickly. Then when it's time to put them into practice later, I feel I've forgotten the skills and I lose confidence in myself. This lack of confidence undermines my ability to lead others.
Fav quote from this video. "Treat each fear as a challenge."
To me, leaders not only inspire, communicate well, give clear directions but they also create new leaders.
