- This is 1 of 4 videos I custom made for an educator in California for an experimental 1-week video homework program. I have only edited the beginning and ending titles. Although not designed for the general public, I figured you may find them useful.
This video provides a quick general math review of concepts needed to do well in Algebra 1. Covers: Order of Operations, Fraction Arithmetic, Basic Algebraic Concepts and Terminology, Converting Verbal Phrases to Algebraic Expressions and other Miscellaneous Math Concepts.
I came here to prep for 9th grade (super nervous) and I gotta say I've learned more in this 25 minute video than I did in my entire 8th grade year. Thank you so much!!!!!

I'm in 8th grade and I have algebra 1 honors but last year I didn't have pre-algebra which I was supposed to have this year so I'm gonna be behind so hopefully this will help thank you!

IMA be real with you man. when I first started the video I thought you were goofie. but as you went on I found it to be extremely helpful and with myself about to take the math course of the GED test I need someone helpful for math. good work!

Awesome!!! You break everything down clearly and provide numerous examples that helps drill it in. I actually found myself getting excited like I was with my favorite math teacher in HS! You rock!! And while you may not legally/commercially be called a teacher, you are still doing a great job on the common/sovereign side of the house ;)

These videos are really incredible, and I am so grateful for them. I have a Masters degree, studying for my GRE to apply to my PhD program. This is just the pace of math instruction I need to help me with the math portion of the exam. If you had been my teacher way back when, maybe I wouldn't be such a math moron now. Thank you!!

Thanks for this video! It's very helpful. I am taking an Entrance Exam for these Elite HS's in NYC (these high schools are the best in the country) so this will help me a lot. My teachers did not teach me well and i was in an Honor's class. No one in my class learned anything from my Math teacher anyways :P

Thank you for breaking it down. I am a first time college student (age 45) finally going after my dream of nursing and I am horrible at math. I am taking basic math courses and eventually have to pass math 71 and Chem 10, along with microbiology. The last 2 classes are heavily math oriented and well as said before I'm not that good with math. But I will with the help of my tutors here on campus and taking it one step at a time. Once again, thank you.

wow! u r awesome. My son is entering high school this fall. He has been homeschooled at someone else's home as in given a book and told what pages to do. i.e. - learn on ur own and ask questions if u need- which was a joke. he just took the entrance test to a christian private school and scored low enuf in math to be told that he will have to have a tutor over the summer to be able to handle 9th grade math (if the don't put him in 8th grade math). i think this video is just the thing he will need to help him speed through knowing exactly what he needs to know to make math rock! u r the best math teacher i've ever seen. kuddos!!!!

Factors are multiplied. This is meant to be a Quick Review (hence the title). Again, you may want to watch the "Basic Math" videos. They are designed to provide a very good foundation to the math you will need for algebra and are designed for 7th grade through college.
I never thought I would say this but, Math Tutor you actually make me like math like I'm almost addicted to it. (That's a good thing.) Math Tutor > Any other teacher

Hello, it just took me forever to subscribe! You are the first channel that I have ever subscribed .I am watching getting ready for Algebra. I want to assist my daughter who insists she can not do College Algebra. I am going to take the same class. I am an RN and we use ratios/proportions and dosage calculations. I did not pay attention in high school, but my sixth grade boy is doing this. He gets so annoyed with me because it comes so naturally. He won the Christian Math Olympics in Florida. I just do not have the same skills as a twelve year old. But, I totally get your video!!!!!! love it thank you

Willie Middlebrooks Thanks! I will try! It's difficult, since I have to do it ALL by myself, and the place I live at is VERY noisy (and gets too hot in summer, cold in winter). I am at least trying to get new videos on how to use different calculator models now.

I'm in higher-level math classes, but I'm not that amazing at math (though test scores say I am). I'm testing tomorrow and I'm going to be having some things on those tests I haven't see since I was 11. Thank you for this video~
