Just because because you criticize something, doesn't mean you should hate it.
I will never understand why people get upset with real world brands being present in movies. I mean, its not like the movie stops & tells you all of pros to using Dawn dish soap.
By that logic, they should be furious when buying groceries.
If anything I get more upset when the real brand isn't displayed.
I think it's because most of the times it's kind of shoved in your face or the shot showing the product placement is too long. It gives a feeling that they're trying to sell you the product instead of just having it on the background for realism.
Tbh I kind of see the product placement as immersive? Like it makes the people seem like from our universe.

@Kiss Kitty Though how did that Lex find out? In BvS, Lex had Zod's body tested, and that's how he had learned the rock's effects. Donner’s Lex just somehow knows exactly what will happen before Superman even gets near the rock.

I actually liked Batfleck. He was a veteraned, loss Robin, been through hell, hardened kind of batman along with his suit with the cowl, scratches, wear and tear, and voice modulator.
I enjoyed Ben as Bruce as well. He WAS Batman to me.
@@Th3Birdman Exactly! I don't get how anyone could hate Batfleck. He was easily the most accomplished actor to ever play the role (multiple Academy Awards!). He nailed being both Bruce Wayne AND Batman. And the writers didn't have to resort to the lazy womanizer trope that bad writers use. We got to see Bruce's struggles with mental instability, his care for his employees, his diligence in planning for threats, his fame in-universe, his sense of loss, his unique fighting style, his gadgets - it was all there. Batfleck was well done.

@laz kar friend, you just detailed the best parts of batfleck. @th3birdman mentioned this in his Deadpool 2 video, but not everything is direct, that's what makes great story telling. Subtlety. A passing glance at the Jason Todd armor shows Bruce's loss. Also, I like to think of Snyder as the Hideo Kojima of film. He bashes you over the head with certain imagery, while also being subtle with others. Movies are art, and they require nuance. Snyder showed this tale of a worn out Batman and his blindness and lack of awareness that Clark is more human than most people that the caped crusader saves. Finally, "it doesn't take much to scowl and punch"? Uhhhh... it took lots of effort for Bruce to "scowl and punch". Ever read a batman story ever? Every origin story has shown him training with people who can kill you before you hear them.
P.S. those gadgets were fucking amazing. The batclaw, those explosives. The sound emitters that overloaded Clark's hearing. It was pretty great. The movie was shit, but Snyder did EXTREMELY well showing his form of batman. Hands down.

If anything, their mothers having the same name complicated things, as Lois made there just 1 second before Batman was about to kill Superman (due to him thinking that Superman was using his mother’s name against him). If their moms had different names, Batman would’ve asked what Superman was talking about, and he might’ve taken it seriously.
And then there’s the haters still saying it doesn’t matter because the execution makes it seem they stopped fighting cause their moms have the same name. No, it’s not! There’s such a thing as objectively interpretating a scene wrong and that’s incorrect interpretation. I remember watching the Martha scene for the first time wondering what was about it so bad and even with little context of the movie (I watched the scene before seeing the movie), I understood Zack’s intentions and could not believe people were misinterpreting it

Honestly, Zach has made many mistakes regarding Detective Comics, like the destruction of Metropolis in Man of Steel, but the “Martha” scene was not one of them.

His plane for the DCEU was actually a very solid one and would have ended with Darkseid taking over earth and forcing Superman under the control of the Anti-Life Equation, so they send a warning back to Bruce at this moment. Why this doesn’t make sense? DC fired Zack because Infinity War was on the horizon and they needed a Justice League movie NOW DAMN IT!

The reality is that they fired him because they wanted more control over Justice League, and they hid it with corporate speak after the death of his daughter. Look into it yourself if you'd like. The point is more that Zack Snyder did have a plan for these films, but due to studio interference, which is the whole reason why this film exists and why the theatrical cut is what it is, that plan was discarded and we were left with an utter mess.

Neither MoS nor BvSUE are 4 hours, and they are certainly competent. ZSJL also COULD be cut down to 3 hours (Same length as Endgame) and be just fine. The reason ZSJL is 4 hours isn't because he needed it to be, it's because the fans demanded the full uncut version and not what Zack would've had as a theatrical cut.

I keep coming back to this video because it seems like you’re the only person that understands this movie. Everyone is so used to being held by the hand with Marvel movies that I love this take on DC. Ben is by far my favorite Batman as well as Henry as Superman

For the Martha scene I think the reason they kept showing Bruce having nightmares about his parents multiple time throughout the movie is he has PTSD about it. So when Clark said Martha he instantly starts remembering her death.
Edit: that’s why he starts calming down after Lois comes in and explains it.
Jeremy didn't predict that BvS would be better than Civil War he predicted it would make more money. That still is worthy of the laughing clips though.

Keep on going Birdman! I really enjoy these videos! My only gripe with this one though is deciding to use the Ultimate Edition for some of the corrections. I have this strong belief that Extended Cuts or Deleted Scenes should not count as explanations for plot holes or confusing details. It should be the job of the director and the editor to make sure that the theatrical cut (which most people will see) is the best quality it can be and avoid those plot holes or contrivances. Like how Lord of The Rings, which has an extended cut, is still an awesome and easy to understand series of films even though a lot of extra scenes weren't included.
Or... studios can just let directors do their jobs and stay out of the creative process
