When you own your own house and there are things you don't like about it you can change it the way you want. If you don't like it so what. Go buy your house and do as you wish. It looks great and it's an affordable change that may also be temporary. The look is also cleaner.

I love this, eff the haters. We were ready to Reno our kitchen but had a minor financial setback, I’m looking for something that will make me happy in the interim between now and when we finally tear it all down. I don’t see the supply list though 😢!

Also just realized one big thing about epoxy and light, it yellows!!!!!! That white is going to be stained yellow in a matter of months if it is in any sort of direct sun. Typically that is why it is used for garages, because the yellowing isn’t as noticeable.

We didn’t love the color and painting the granite was an affordable way to change it!

Painting basically real marble to fake marble
The problem with this is with granite you can put hot pans on the counter and with this, you can’t do that without messing it up

Looks amazing! We have the same brown countertops and hate them. The granite camouflages everything. We recently had an ant infestation and we literally couldn’t see them on the countertops. Once they got to the white walls we could track where they were coming from. It’s just one more reason to get new countertops or paint the old ones.

If you do this, you cannot put hot plates or pans on your counters like you could with the granite without destroying your marble look

Because the house I moved into had dark countertops. Instead of spending a couple of thousand dollars to replace, I can do this.
Granite countertops were in style 10/20 years ago. Now, in modern, well-designed homes, you will see quartz, marble, or in this case, something that looks like marble. They probably just wanted their counters to not look like they are from a past decade.

What are you spraying on it?
Looks like the kit suggests that you lightly spritz water on it between coats to avoid drying out too fast while finishing. Another UA-camr mentioned this as well.
I have laminate that I will paint. No granite in sight.

Sorry, I like your your painting over the countertops but the truth is there is no real quality like the quality of a real marvel or course top or granite countertop. You have many you cannot compare that to for Micah if you want then you are good.
