I painted my counters recently. I didn't use the kit however, but got similar results. Also, just to add...I used a turkey feather for the veining and acrylic paint that was diluted with water rather than the paint and spray technique. It made the veining look very realistic. Great job!!
I used a white primer that's mold and mildew resistant, acrylic paints and a turkey feather which you can get at craft stores, and a spray bottle with water to help thin out the streaks a bit to make them more realistic.
The press on faux tile is great for the camper since it is lighter weight than real tile. The entire look is nice. That camper looks very old and dark. So the countertop and tile really freshen it up and make it look more modern. Can’t wait to see your updates on the camper.
I used to work as a decorative artist and did lots of faux marble . I used oil paint and feathers and a badger hair brush . It came out lovely . I used to do layers so it created depth. It helps if you study real marble to see how the veining looks . 😊
Great job on assimilating the natural veins of marble stones, when finished it actually looks just like a marble I work with often named white carrara.
Came out pretty 😊if it does start messing up ....amazon sell marble contact paper... get the brand DC Fix... it lasts and it’s cost effective....the quality is great... hope this helps 😀
They make this really cool spray which comes out in sort of confetti like veins for faux marble epoxy countertops. It looks incredibly natural and it's much easier than painting things on with a brush.
Please do update videos in 6 months, 1 year, etc and let us know how this stuff holds up over time!!!! I'm so tempted to do some projects like this is my own place but cant afford new things if I screw mine up so I'm scared to try!
I live in NJ and my husband and I will be buying our first home soon! Your videos are awesome and very helpful! They make me excited for projects I plan to do in our first house.
Surfing You Tube for suggestions on counter top refurb and this is exactly what I was looking for! We just purchased a older camper on a seasonal lot, Going to use this method in the camper as practice for my 1987 pink counter tops in my home! Thanks for sharing, great video!
Awesome for taking the chance on doing countertop paint kit... remember like Bob Ross said, there are only happy little accidents. Keep working at it, it will buff out.
An epoxy would help to make it last alot longer. Also another option for countertops is the stonecoatcountertop kit. It is awesome for renewing countertops
Yours look fantastic!! I did mine with epoxy, from stone coat, they ship and have a ton,if videos!! Ive had them for years and they will, last forever!! I love your videos!!
Em it looks AMAZING! Are you thinking about doing this to your home kitchen countertop after doing the camper counter top? I think you should consider it, it seriously looks amazing
I had decided against doing this, but I hadn’t thought about doing it in the camper! What a great idea. You definitely don’t want to put a heavy countertop in a camper because of weight.
I definitely admire your 'jump in & get 'er done' attitude. I've been wanting to do my counter tops. I'm not going to use a kit tho. It looks marvelous! Great job. tfs💞. Ya made me a believer so I have subscribed-from Ohio. I've watched your stainless steel makeover too.
Couldn't click fast enough!!!So excited for this and all your content💕and heck ya I bindged watched all your past videos from day1 and your sooo talented, creative, fun to watch 💕
Not sure how to ask this question, but what is the durability of the results? Is it scratch and stainless resistant. Will it need touch ups overtime? Callie
You mention things you’d like to try. I have tile floor in my kitchen with horrible grout. 8m told you can’t grout on grout so hoping you will come up with something. I wouldn’t mind staining the tile but then I still have the grout issue. Thanks! I love all remodels so far. 💕
saw this online blog post for diy ceramic-looking knobs and tried it the other day and it looks amazing! thought y'all might want to try this for the cabinet knobs.
Ah this video is so perfect timing! We've just bought our first home and the kitchen is blue melamine with a speckled grey (not nice) counter top. I was hoping to do a faux butcher block but this might work as well!
Great job i just did some counter tops in a rental trailer last week with the rustoleum product and i used the poly acrylic crystal clear came out great and the tenant loved it
Hi my awesome friend, thank you so much for sharing this awesome video. You’re doing an awesome job Painting everything everything is looking better every time I look at a video of yours
Mermaid ArtistQueen we’re using pine as our butcher block counter which is not very heavy! We’ve taken so much out of the motor home so the weight wouldn’t be an issue
Oh... my... gosh Emelyne!! It looks amazing! You are really becoming a pro! It really looks like marble, I am so impressed! What a fun project for you both!
Our Little Nest A bar top would be so pretty, too. I ruined my bathroom lately with some hair dye and it needs a paint anyway. I will try this and let you know via Instagram how it turnes out!
Wow! That looked amazing! Definitely scary and gave me a bit of anxiety to think of myself taking on a project like that! Lol 😂 but wow I loved it!! I am living for these videos!!! Great job!!! 😍😍😍😍🥰🥰🥰😘😍
Having done several of these kits I can say with all honestly sanding the counters first definitely helps the longevity of the product
Tracy McLaughlin Holmes definitely getting the surface roughed up helps a lot!

I wish I could see pics of your technique 😔
I'd love to see pics as well, what product did you use. I can't find this kit in London at the moment. Many thanks in advance
how did you do it because the kit is out of stock ?
Great idea, but where do you get a turkey feather?

I'm going to do my kitchen and I purchased a small bag of feathers for this exact reason. Thanks for the confirmation.
Great job on assimilating the natural veins of marble stones, when finished it actually looks just like a marble I work with often named white carrara.
Looks great, especially with that gorgeous backsplash tile!
Betsy H thank you! I can’t wait to install the tile!
Came out pretty 😊if it does start messing up ....amazon sell marble contact paper... get the brand DC Fix... it lasts and it’s cost effective....the quality is great... hope this helps 😀
Bxlatina35 I was thinking of doing that as well! It seems like it comes out really nice!
Bxlatina35 yeah its nice at first but over time the contract paper stains. Scratches
I used the contact paper on our rv countertops and its lasted us for 2 months so far of continuous use.
Mermaid ArtistQueen I have contact paper on my kitchen counter and no issues at all had it close to a year now.... dc fix is a good brand
Our Little Nest do it u won’t regret it and u can change it whenever u feel u want a new look . Saves a lot of money lol 😊
The way you did the line design looks better than any other I’ve seen! Good job!
You are very good at explaining steps.
munchiemunchie2010 thank you!
I’ve watched all the different presentations on how to do marble faux counters. This looks fairly easy I also like the look of iy
They make this really cool spray which comes out in sort of confetti like veins for faux marble epoxy countertops. It looks incredibly natural and it's much easier than painting things on with a brush.
What is it called?
Wished I knew what it was called.
You did a spectacular job! How beautiful! 👌
Awesome! That mint color back splash looks fantastic
Please do update videos in 6 months, 1 year, etc and let us know how this stuff holds up over time!!!! I'm so tempted to do some projects like this is my own place but cant afford new things if I screw mine up so I'm scared to try!
It will work great , but you have to sand it first, then use the epoxy . Otherwise it will peel.
Wow! Can’t believe how good it looks!
I live in NJ and my husband and I will be buying our first home soon! Your videos are awesome and very helpful! They make me excited for projects I plan to do in our first house.
Abigail S413 that’s amazing!! So exciting!
OMG!!! TOO pretty -- especially with the mint backsplash!
Jessica thank youuu!!

Kait how cool!!
Em it looks AMAZING! Are you thinking about doing this to your home kitchen countertop after doing the camper counter top? I think you should consider it, it seriously looks amazing
Mary Rose if we change our backsplash I definitely would! Right now I think it would be too much white with the tile and cabinets but I’d love to!!
I had decided against doing this, but I hadn’t thought about doing it in the camper! What a great idea. You definitely don’t want to put a heavy countertop in a camper because of weight.
Also, thanks for being the guinea pig!
Mable looks great.
Does this paint withstand hot temperatures? Like a hot man or tray, or does it need protection?
😂
Using the tip of a feather and twisting as you make your vein helps it look more natural😊
I definitely admire your 'jump in & get 'er done' attitude. I've been wanting to do my counter tops. I'm not going to use a kit tho. It looks marvelous! Great job.

Love the way your counter turned out! I was JUST talking to my fiancé about doing some DIY's on our kitchen while we're quarantined

I think you did a fantastic job!!! Looks pretty
Ah this video is so perfect timing! We've just bought our first home and the kitchen is blue melamine with a speckled grey (not nice) counter top. I was hoping to do a faux butcher block but this might work as well!
Katherine Richardson congratulations!! That is so exciting, this is perfect for it!!
How would you do faux butcher block? Just piecing wood together?
Great job i just did some counter tops in a rental trailer last week with the rustoleum product and i used the poly acrylic crystal clear came out great and the tenant loved it
Hi my awesome friend, thank you so much for sharing this awesome video. You’re doing an awesome job Painting everything everything is looking better every time I look at a video of yours

I love your videos so much! My boyfriend and I want to buy an old camper too and your videos are sooo inspiring ! Thank u 💕
Alexela aww!! It’s such a fun project! I feel like everyone needs a camper to remodel 😂
Our Little Nest it looks like so much fun and I feel like it’s gonna be so rewarding 🤗
That looks so good !!!
Looks super professional 👍
Great job!!! I was thinking that you can probably go a little heavier with your paint on the base coats, that may help cover with fewer coats.
So very beautiful!
Laggard has a topcoat/finish coat with a nice sheen. Not sure how long it would take to dry.
That looks soooo great!!!
Don’t know about y’all, but I’m hoping for that backsplash video to come out. 😍
Looks nice!! I painted my counter for $40! One step done, with an appliance epoxy!
did you add veins? or just paint all white ?
This looks like it turned out great! Thanks for sharing this project
That looks beautiful!
LOVE your ring !
Thank you!!
You did fantastic job .. I will do mine too soon .. thank you for sharing ..
Looks great !!!♥️♥️♥️
This is perfect for a motor home!! If you travel with a motorhome the butcherblock will be too heavy. Unless you make a faux butcher block.
Mermaid ArtistQueen we’re using pine as our butcher block counter which is not very heavy! We’ve taken so much out of the motor home so the weight wouldn’t be an issue
That looks fantastic! Great job
Hello from the UK ☺️ I love all your content, very different, interesting and useful!
Oh... my... gosh Emelyne!! It looks amazing! You are really becoming a pro! It really looks like marble, I am so impressed! What a fun project for you both!
Thanks so much!!
Great results! The backsplash color is also super beautiful but I do have to say I kinda like the old wall paper behind it too.
looks very nice!
I am so nervous to try this but I really want to change my kitchen counter top. How long do you have to wait before you can wipe it down
Great video and tips. Can I use the same kit on laminate countertop?
Wow everything turned out beautiful xxx thanks for sharing... sending blessings and love
Look beautiful, thank you for sharing!!!
I would have just used marble contact/vinyl paper bc I don't have the patience. But the result of this looks really nice too.
It looks so good!!
Wish we got counter top paint in the uk 😔great job you done!
Well done, looks amazing, so real..... you also did put effort in it. I'm so lazy that would probably buy the marble adhesive paper
Just used scotch green tape. Worked as good as frog tape and half the price.
This is a beauty!
I would love to do that to my bathroom countertop! 😍 Looks stunning!
That’s what I was thinking! Or a bar top, there’s so many possibilities with this stuff! I may marble my whole house😂
Will one kit be enough paint is what I am wondering your area was small scale
It looks real! Id love to see it with apoxy over it!
I think it looks good!...I wouldn't of known it isn't real marble ✨great job 👍
Looks great
Beautiful and inspiring! Your ring is gorgeous too, where is it from?
I think it looks great!
Your camper is going to be adorable by summer!! Any planned trips? 🌎💗
BonbonsAndBooks ❤︎ nothing official yet but we have soo many places on our list to visit! 😍
Our Little Nest I bet 😃
Covid19: "maybe next summer"
People:"Dho"
Can this design be replicated using floor paint on concrete floor? Would you recommend?
Hmm, I’m not sure! That would be a cool idea!
Beautiful!
Hi wow it looks so good nice👍👍
I was a bit disappointed u didn't use the white highlight, but it still turned out looking great.
Very nice 👍🏼
