If you want to create marble, use a feather and drag and twist across the surface. Add smaller veins coming off the the main one. Vary the pressure as you twist and drag. Always use a sea sponge. Twist and rotate and use all sides to avoid repetition. Layer colours dark to light. Seal with an eco self levelling resin when it’s dry otherwise it will wear off. 😊 YW
Congrats re the final product! You are surprisingly honest with us. With respect, you could also consider a large feather. Why? These help you do the lines in marble, if this is what y’re going for. Major hardware stores should have. Great experimenting. Good for you man. Your final product looks rather amazing. Congrats man🙂. Cheers.

I have cheaper granite countertops. They were cut in two pieces to install. Now, a few years later and they are two different colors. Would this work on granite countertops
This is super helpful.. there was a few I was thinking about trying, but I think yours is the clearest and looks like I could possibly do this!.. I’m so nervous to mess up my countertops!
I was nervous too! But i figured anything would look better then the ugly brown. Now i cant attest for the longetivity of this because it was an experiment and we sold the home like 3 months after i did this but it looked good until we sold.
No topcoat?? haha, just kidding. No idea why people have to repeat themselves in the comments but there's no way my countertops would come out this good if I tried this. You should be an artist!
Hello which method / way do you recommend best…. This method with the enamel paint or the other video you did with the rustoleum countertop paint? I will be sanding, priming and adding a top clear coat.
honestly, they are both made by the same company so pretty similar. I like the granite look better but the other video was a lot faster. just roll and go.
Any idea how this holds up with placing warm things on the counter? I think you said you used it in other homes? What if something hot/warm is placed on the counter?
probably not well if its like a hot pot or pan . since the countertops are laminate but i think warm it would hold up we would set plates on it and it was fine.
Looks nice and finish might good to be honest but if this guys are professionals in this kind of work they should use paint kettle(s) to pour the paint and clean the paint tin. That is unprofessional in the first place. In second the should protect the surrounding units like fridge and cooker etc, third the should protect the flood for any drips of paint that may occur and mostly because is enamel paint and forth in ridiculous pour the paint in the countertop and then use the brush and the roller to spread it. For that is tombs down for me regarding the paint procedure and protection. I am a Painter and Decorator in UK and is not a good example for colleges in our profession. This guys they should know that unless are Cowboys which doesn't look the case. Work they did is pretty cool is tombs up.
Thanks for the feedback Jose. I understand your view completely and agree . This was just me at my house on a saturday morning and i just had an idea and started working but yeah proper preparation is key. Thanks for watching !
This doesn’t look real plus it won’t last too long! This is from a professional artist with a degree who has done this kind of work before! But good try!
It will definitely last if a resin varnish is used. It’s amazing what new products are available. I thought the same but learned from an outdoor artist that you can get brush on sealer. His installation was in Manchester U.K. I will find my tin and update this comment for you. Also I will find his IG handle. 😊

Oh nice! I may have to try that !
When you first started it, I wasn't so sure, but the END RESULT LOOKS QUITE NICE!!!!
Thank you glad you think so!
You did a great job! It looks gorgeous!
Thank you!

Great suggestion! Thank you for watching
I am looking at videos to prepare to do my countertops and this video was a great guide

thanks for the tips!
@@BryanBuilt I just copied and pasted comments from other viewers that I thought would be handy
😉
Looks Great! I would pass on the yellow spots is all. Agree way better than them brown countertops 💪🏽
I used waddled up walmart plastic bags to dab on the different colors. It turned out great
You're supposed to put down watered white then dap in grey. Make sure your sponge is wet. They'll blend together better.
Thanks for the tip!
How does the paint do against the water of the sink? Did you put epoxy or anything over the paint?
Very nice! I’m about to start on my vinyl countertops
Awesome hope it turns out well.
Turned out good. Would we put a clear coat on it!
yes looking back i should have
Looks amazing
Thank you!
I have cheaper granite countertops. They were cut in two pieces to install. Now, a few years later and they are two different colors. Would this work on granite countertops
I can't say for sure I have never tried it. i think the hardest part would be getting it to stick but granite is pretty porous so it may stick
How do they hold up to warm plates, scratches etc. because paint usually doesn’t hold up well to those things.
honestly we moved before i had a chance to see how these held up we had them for about 3 months and then we moved. but i dont think it would do great

Awesome work Sir thank you for the video
You did a good job on a low budget.
thank you! anything was better then the ugly brown lol
Hey looks good , nice job 👍🏼 . How did you do your back splash ?
Hi I really want to do this.Did you use a clear epoxy at the end
No I did not but I think a clear coat would be Great for this.
Did you applied a clear top coat???
I like it but did you have to put anything to seal it?
Awesome job! What did you seal it with after using the Sponge
No but in hindsight i probably should have
Looks amazing!!
What is giving it that nice shiny look?
No topcoat?? haha, just kidding. No idea why people have to repeat themselves in the comments but there's no way my countertops would come out this good if I tried this. You should be an artist!
No top coat 😔. Lol . Thanks i appreciate it!

You forgot to mention topcoating the whole thing with a clearcoat
Nice job!
Beautiful job!😊
Thank you! 😊 glad you like it
Very nice video. Looks great.

Good job.
Looks great 👍🏻

Dose that work on all countertops
Im not sure honestly. This was an experiment on formica countertops
Do you have to put a base coat on the counter top.
I didnt but this was just an experiment on my countertops
Is the paint food gradeable
I love everything you do!☆☆☆☆☆
Kinda looks like real granite! Not digging the almond but still love it all
Thanks! this was an experiment I think it turned out ok lol
Just FYI wash dishes before doing video or live stream.

No top coat?
Need to splurge on some glue for the strip on cou ter edge and a drop cloth man !
😂 yeah for sure ! I think this was like a saturday morning spur of the moment thing
How did it hold up so far?
honestly not sure we sold our house and moved a couple of months after this.
Sometimes things don't work out as planned.
No epoxy?
No i used this protective enamel from rustoleum.
You need to prime first with Styx primer! That finish will fail.
Yeah looking back now i should have.
You didn’t have to put a clear coat to settle the paint
I probably should have but i didnt. This was an experiment
Cant read the labels all backwards.
Oops
nice job
Thank you!
Not bad
thanks!
No Topcoat?
No i didnt use a topcoat since this was supposed to be a protective enamel paint
