I’ve watched soooo many UA-cam videos on van campers that my eyes are glazed over. Most are so boring but I sit through them hoping for a little tidbit. Yours was absolutely enjoyable. Well done! And I think I need that little sink. The TV part probably not but you made me laugh “two people can sleep comfortably if they really like each other”. 😂 I really liked that it wasn’t a permanent build. Now I just have to look for three bodies to put in the back. LOL

I compliment you on your informative & well produced video. I just bought a 2019 Toyota Sienna and hope to do a similar build. Concerning the problem with the magnet holding the drawer too tight, a simple fix is to put a self stick felt pad between the magnet & the contact plate. It makes it easier to pull them apart. Thanks for the tips and humorous comments. You’re a natural!

Im so impressed! Ive been looking for a van mainly because im 6’1. But it seems like more minivans are on the market, and honestly your minivan build is amazing, and you didnt even take your seats out? Thats impressive how roomy you make it seem because of how resourceful you are. (I will be taking the seats out because i plan on going full time). I am inspired by this video thank you so much! I am interested in doing a van build and have watched countless videos. I love the simplicity of your build and especially the “wathier?” Bed idea. Thank you for putting out this video. The only one I have saved to date.
Awesome, thank you! Good luck on your build. Take lots of pictures during the process! And avoid going all out on the first try. Just go with the least expensive bare minimum and add only what you need over time. This way you don't waste your resources on stuff that turns out you will never need. When you do get it done, do a dress rehearsal. Spend the night in your driveway. You don't want to be a thousand miles from home when you realize you forgot to bring your favorite pillow.
I might do something like that but divided in two. That way it can be a single bed and chair, two chairs or a full bed.
That would be a lot of work but it sounds amazing! Link me the vid if you ever make that happen.
I was thinking the same thing. Just the pull down part would be split. Such a neat idea to begin with and so much easier for setup than a lot of the other convertible options out there. Now that I am thinking about it even more, I would like to make a fold down in both the front and the back so you could have a bench seat looking out the tailgate, and I would make both the front and the back split so one or two people could sit or sleep without disturbing the other. (aaaaand...just blew my mind that the factory installed seat behind the driver's seat still works with this setup so you could have a third traveler!!!) So excited about this!!! One last idea...what if there was a way to make the backrest part swiveling and lockable to use the backrest as a table or a backrest? Thanks for all the idea inspiration!

Thank you. I'm glad you like them. I don't actually have a favorite. I'm never really satisfied with any of them. There's always something I don't like. But then I get a new idea and get excited all over again. There will probably be a version 5 someday. Lol.

Good job and it's a nice progression. Any thoughts on removing the center console so you can go from the front to the back without getting outside?
I would love to remove the center console. I'd actually rather build my own. But removing that thing looks like a bit of a hassle. However, I don't have to go outside to access the back. I just step over the console. That's why I leave that little hall way open.
First off, your humor hits me right, and I found myself laughing over and over... nice work. start to finish... not only that, this is the first video I watched about a hybrid minivan that I thought hit me the closest and the hardest. You pretty much showed and told me what I want my life to look like. Meaning, everything in your van was in my image, but I needed an over groan hybrid that when camping keeps the air conditioner running 24/7 if needed. Man you nailed it, loved it, thanks.
You are quite welcome! Full disclosure: My Pacifica is not the hybrid version but since I didn't take the seats out, you can still do everything I did with the hybrid.
I like how you moved your kitchen (sink & Dometic fridge) inside so you can use it without having to stand outside in inclement weather. Also, your personality & hilarious sense of humor remind me of about half of the engineers I used to work with, miss those guys/gals.
I think you have to have a weird brain to be an artist, comedian or engineer. 😁
Love the funny editing! I'm not sure about the outlets directly beneath the sink. Too easy to splash or spill H2O. Sparky sparky. The wood base for outlets is great. Keep on!

I love how Chrysler finally made a one button process to move the driver's seat forward and the backrest up to allow access to the StowNGo area below! I had an older style Grand Caravan where I had to hold the power seat button forward then hold the recline button also all to be able to access the Stow area! Cool set up!

Your van looks so nice from the outside. If I have to buy a van, it's only Toyota Sienna or the Pacifica van. I love the way the look , your van being black must be hard to keep clean and shiny. Your set is simple, something I don't mind. Bed is awesome! Thanks for sharing.

This was awesome. I just purchased my Pacifica and I’ve been trying to find ways to tweak mines. I love the window treatments 🥰. I need to blackout my windows but don’t want the hassle of tints and being pulled over for the darkness of my tint, yeah I’m in NYC. I was going to request an order for the window treatments lol but I heard you lol I’ll refer back to the video when I try doing it. Thanks for this video 🥰
