There are no words to describe this anime, it’s just too good and real, it’s one of the best written stories ever! It’s true that people go through trauma, it’s true someone could help save us from that trauma, and it’s true that the person might not be with us till the end, and it was beautifully depicted in the anime. 100/10

I just finished watching this show the other day and the end had me legitimately crying. I couldn't name the last time a show had that profound an effect on me. Honestly can't believe it took me until just recently to watch it.a
It’s a really beautiful anime but the ending is so sad! Still, it’s one of those anime that is absolutely worth the watch and tears! I’m glad you gave it a chance!
I spent about the same amount of time between watches (~8 years) and the anime was just so much better this time around! It’s sad, yes, but well-worth the watch!
I have this memory of watching this with a friend after my dad died and i think i have trauma tied to that. I cant even really watch the show or even a retrospective or video on it with out my cheast getting tight feeling a little panicky and crying.
Human emotions are interesting little things, especially when we associate them with different things that trigger them! This anime most definitely has that effect, but it’s important to remember that, even during the most trying times, there is always time for the heart to heal. ❤️ Take each day one step at a time!
@@Lurichans thank you. I've been feeling more often that exploring the human condition still shows the light and life of the world. Despite the sadness and ecstasy of life's unraveling. The exquisite beauty of the world still remains in this age.
Just watched and finished the anime for the first time yesterday. There’s many aspects of this story which I could relate to my own life. I think that is why the story is truly devastating and heartbreaking to me. I think you hit it on the head, we all just want somebody to confide in, and it’s scary to know that true love is not a guarantee in this life, and losing somebody you love is even scarier. I hope to one day find somebody that I can confide in, but it seems impossible.
First: this is a truly beautiful and heartbreaking anime. It does what so many other anime haven’t and maybe that’s bc it’s one of a kind. After all, if everyone started copying the things that make an anime such as this unique, it would start to lose that status. Second: never give up on finding that person you can confide in! There is someone out there for everyone, but if we stop looking, we definitely won’t find them. There are a lot of people in the world and finding someone who fits the mold can be hard. When we do find them, we’ll know they’re the one, tho. 🧡
Finished it 3 days ago. Now I am completely broken. I think about it all the time and I get emotional. 😢 If only Kousei got to tell Kaori how much he loved her before she left this world.
It's hard not to think about this anime without mentioning the insane emotional appeal it has! Kaori's passing was part of Kousei's character development, but that doesn't make it any easier to cope with her absence. 😔
Have you watched the anime March Comes in Like a Lion? It handles the 6 main areas you pointed out, though in my opinion it does it far better and a more realistic way. Doesn’t get a whole lot of recognition despite being highly rated. Anyways this was a great video and I might rewatch Your lie in April again
It’s been a while since I last watched both seasons but, yes, I’ve seen March Comes in Like a Lion! I was actually planning on making that a March 1st upload next year (kind of like what I did with this one)! I’ve been wanting to rewatch 3 Gatsu for a while now but will probably hold off until next Feb to prepare for a video :) It’s a deep anime, for sure tho. @@Lurichans yeah that’s true. Other slow animes like Frieren appeal to a wider range of audience and some others like Your lie in April and Anohana got that shock factor going for them. Some also get turned off by Shogi, thinking they need to understand the game to watch the anime. It's a best anime as I feel that Kouri should have never died as it made me cry at the end . Even though she is a fictional character i loveed her but it would have made no impact in the story if any one other then her died at the end
This anime is so beautiful in so many ways. Another reason why ill never forgive my friend for spoiling the ending for me😭. Took away the tears i would’ve experienced
I remember hearing about it back in 2014 and I didn’t actually pick it up until 2016! Now, 8 years later (and with a more developed brain. Lol), it’s insane to see just how well-done this anime truly was. I’m so tired of the same boring Isekai these days. I’d love more anime like Your Lie in April
It's honestly such an emotional anime and I'm so glad the community can at least agree on that! The ending is super heartbreaking, but it's also a lesson to be learned: we have to carry on, even in the face of adversity.
I was fine until the last episode. I had questions about the story before, but then everything fell into place and I was heart broken. I'm not emotionally strong enough to watch it a second time. In hindsight, she was selfish by keeping things to herself.
This anime is so full of things like sorrow, regret, and even selfishness. Kaori SHOULD have told Kousei what was going on, but at the same time, she didn’t want to tell him bc it could have upended everything she worked so hard for-getting Kousei out of his shell. Your Lie in April is masterful in the way it appeals to your emotions and, for some, it’s just a little strong! It’s absolutely a heartbreaking story, but it has its good parts, too. 🧡
Great analysis and overall good video. One thing I hope u can improve on tho is the transition between each clip. I dont really like how you add and switch to your socials as a mean to transit. It is kind of annoying but anything other than that is done to a high level. Keep it up🫡
I'll be making some changes to the background during transitions so that maybe it isn't so distracting in the future! Thanks for the feedback, and thank you for the kind words! I'm glad you enjoyed! ^-^
It teases a multitude of themes but fails to fully commit to any, resulting in a show that feels hypocritical and lacking substantial development. Your Lie in April is like a jack of all trades but a master of none. The narrative structure is reminiscent of the Violet Evergarden movie (the series was great tho), which also struggles with similar issues. If you're looking for anime about depression and trauma, Sangatsu no Lion is a better choice; for unrequited love, Sakamichi no Apollon is superior; clinical illness is depicted more effectively in Kimisui, and regrets are better explored in Anohana and Koe no Katachi, and if you want all of these then read Orange manga. And in terms of artistic experience, there are better shows like Clannad or any anime directed by Naoko Yamada, Mamoru Oshii, Satoshi Kon, Masasaki Yuasa, Akiyuki Shinbo etc. Your Lie in April, on the other hand, is poorly written, with characters and plotlines that feel underdeveloped and lacking in depth. In my opinion, it's the most overrated anime of the past two decades.
While I see where you’re coming from, you really have to sit down and look at the anime from the lens of someone LIKE Kousei or Kaori. YLIA isn’t solely about the trauma and depiction of suffering-the anime depicts suffering from two very unlike characters and explores the ways in which they cope with their penultimate fates. Similarly, the anime also uses music as a metaphor to illustrate the harmony that is found between the two main characters. While the anime does have many themes and doesn’t focus solely on just one, this is also what makes it so daringly beautiful. The ability to weave such a careful story is something only a handful of anime can do. While YLIA kind of fast tracks certain elements more than others, by no means should that mean it fails at what it’s trying to achieve. :)
While it had its slow moments, everything really came together nicely at the end. Everyone will have different tastes and YLIA certainly isn’t for everyone, but I don’t think I’d say it’s boring! Hopefully you’ll give it another chance someday! :)

@@Lurichans 😭😭exactly. And it was literally when i was going home to watch the final episode
I was so happy about this new romance anime my cousin reccomended me
Until she fainted on the stage and. Yeah
That’s the part that marked the turning point in the anime, and so soon, at that!
i am suffering from this masterpiece anime
after clannad my heart cant take watching this series
Steel your heart! You can do it! 🧡
This anime done broke me 😭😭
It breaks everyone 😭
I still remember when this anime made the entire weeb community cry rivers back in 2014 and I was one of them
I remember hearing about it back in 2014 and I didn’t actually pick it up until 2016! Now, 8 years later (and with a more developed brain. Lol), it’s insane to see just how well-done this anime truly was.
I’m so tired of the same boring Isekai these days. I’d love more anime like Your Lie in April
Bro is cooking
Always 🥴🔥
peak.
niqqa I thought you're talking about my lie in april
Indeed I am in this video :)
bro what did you think he was talking about ☠️
I fukin like this anime, the end scene had me crying like a child😢 thankful for watching this anime❤
It's honestly such an emotional anime and I'm so glad the community can at least agree on that!
The ending is super heartbreaking, but it's also a lesson to be learned: we have to carry on, even in the face of adversity.
@@Lurichans Yes, I feel like it had to go like this
Goated anime goated video
Glad you enjoyed both!
Bro, I was born in April💀
That's a great month to be born in!
Me too😢
Time to 🎹🎻🎼
Great analysis and overall good video.
i dint feel nothing😓
cool video but its hard to watch with your profile showing up ever 6 seconds. would recommend removing it.
I removed it in later videos! Not to worry! 😁
Yeah. It was impactful. It was so painful to watch just because of how boring it was.
While it had its slow moments, everything really came together nicely at the end. Everyone will have different tastes and YLIA certainly isn’t for everyone, but I don’t think I’d say it’s boring!
Hopefully you’ll give it another chance someday! :)
