Go to 1:32 on the video and see the arrow I pointed to the approximate location. Feel around the button is recessed and has like a U shape guard around it. Hope that helps.
The owners of this fridge need to file a class action lawsuit againt LG. I am SO sorry I paid over $3000 for this piece of junk. We have had the LG repairman to our house no less than 5 times in less than 2 years for the craft ice maker. He replaced the whole unit a year ago and it's now back to not making ice. None of the troubleshooting works. I am beyond disgusted with this crap. My husband really wanted this fridge for the craft ice.... I should have known better and listened to that small voice in my head that said, NO to bells and whistles. Never again. When it does work, it will make ice for about a month, then some new malfunction happens. Haven't had any craft ice now for 6 weeks. Got a new compressor for almost $800... can you tell I'm a little bitter? HATE IT.
Actually really helpful video. Similar thing happen to me. Came back from vacation and there was an ice ball stuck on the side of the maker, had to pry it out with a knife actually. After that it wasnt making ice. Found the reset button, once i held it for 3 seconds it made a funny noise and the little holders moved back into place. Were so back
In addition to the reset button, a person can unplug for a couple minutes. My side by side doesn't have a reset and I had a non-craft stuck upside down but power pull it came back to life. Darned bells and whistles! I do kinda like the ice balls though.
Question. I don't think ours is blocked. The door hadn't sealed all the way (they should have a sound to notify of that) & so wasn't closed all the way (it looked it) but got wet on the floor. We took everything out, cleaned it & had fans on to defrost everything inside, but it has never started making ice balls again. Do you have any idea of what the problem could be or where best to get a new part, if needed. If that, do you know the part number & where we should best get that part? I will add my husband is exceptionally handy, but we never had one like this before & this is the first problem with the entire machine. TIA
@@ehelmste yes, my husband is extremely handy. He found a new ice maker for it ordered it and when it came he just changed out the old one with the new one.
There are ice half spheres stuck in the tray, use the reset button and try to pry them out. After they get out, it will reset in it's normal position and will have available space for the water. What's happening is that it is trying to fill the tray but as there is ice still inside water just drips out.
I watch you video but but still can't find reset button.Need help Thanks

Thanks for sharing
You bet!
Found the stuck ice ball thanks to your video. Hoping that resolves the issue. Not sure I’ll ever reach that reset button. Poor design!
Glad it worked!
I just found stuck balls as well. Wondering how long it lasts until it happens again which I’m sure it will
That reset button was well hidden, and white instead of the usual red. Thanks.
You're welcome!
Well you sure saved us a lot of money calling a repair person

Did you fix it? Mine is the same, the cube maker is stuck open. I found the reset button because of this video, but it still does not close.

Mine is just pouring water in the catch tray then freezing the puddle. Do you have any tips whats wrong?? Thank you

@andretrujillo thank you. That fixed it. Finding the reset by feel is the hard part
So should the feeler arm wire be up or down for normal operation? 0:51
Down
