I had almost forgotten about THIS build while you were doing that incredible restomod pickup truck... but I absolutely LOVE these suicide-door Lincolns and I've been itching to see a start-to-finish restomod on one of these things... and I mean a top quality restomod - which you guys absolutely do. Now I vaguely remember this build and I'm so glad you are back on top of it. That blue and white pickup restomod is SO GOOD, it knocked the Lincoln almost completely out of my mind... lol. Thanks for sharing these projects!!
Thank you so much! Those compliments mean a ton to us here. We're excited to get back on this build and give you guys a whole ton of content on it! We got a start up and a Dyno run on that C10 pickup soon too!
I didn't think I was going to like the modification of the front and rear marker and tailights. my initial thought of why would you wreck the stock look! But it actually looks smooth and finished. But it does have to be said it will drive the value down. But if the owner wants it they get it.
I doubt the owner will ever have to sell this car anytime soon, so the value in these modifications is the happiness it brings him. It does move it away from the classic styling of the continental, but the owner really wanted something that was going to be 1 of a kind rolling down the road!
I love this build. I've been wanting a Lincoln vert with a modern frame, suspension and drive train. 1200HP twin turbo Coyote, 10 speed automatic, 4 wheel drive, street and road race suspension, tubbed rearend for 14" wide tires and giant brakes.
Hey Mikey funny thing happened today 12.7 23 I ran into a guy with your black hoody type shirt on and said to him whats up with that ???? I love that shop and all the dudes that work there I watch all of there vid.s and have been to the shop a few times. He was nice and looked at me like i was crazy as shit .... I think It was a shock to him but it is what it is man .. funny thing is thats where I met you in Delray
If it was a blue and white logo hoody it might has been Dave, the owner of the blue slammed C10! That's awesome. It's nice to know the merch is getting worn. If you got time on the 23rd, come stop by the shop around 2 or 3pm. We're having a shop party and food drive!
Deleting the side markers is gonna ruin the awesome look that the continentals have that's a terrible idea but thats just my opinion to each their own I guess 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
Awesome work as usual. I love where it's heading. In the end it's the customer who pays the bills but you have to feel bad for Dave. He gets those bumpers tucked in and looking OEM and boom "lets delete them".
We cut out a TON of work from the video from when he got the side markers and bumper to sit perfectly flush too. So whatever sympathy you have for him, multiply it by 10! lol He really came through with the fabrication. He's killer!
It is what it is! The customer likes it and we think it definitely gives a different look and dimension to the car! Hope you stick around for the rest of the build!
Man, there is an ass for every seat. Hot rodding is about the idea, and skill, doing something different, so it stands out. I think its cool, and different, definitely not "ruined". You still know what the car is when you look at it.
This car always gives me Matrix vibes, and deleting the side markers and tail lights, breaks my heart, but it does look bloody brilliant, great video MEN, 👍🏻👍🏻🇦🇺🇦🇺🦘🦘Cheers from Melbourne Australia
Thank you for the support! A big hurdle we face is battling the nostalgic look and feel of iconic cars like this. It's always a risk making big changes, but we're super stoked with out it came out!
We're gonna start moving again with this content as well as the Chevelle too! We're hoping to wrap up all our open projects at the start of 2024 cause we have some big new ones coming for you guys!
I like the original bumper. I like Al Green too. Stay away from Al Green with that bumper. I guess I'll have to get a Lincoln of my own. I’m going to name it Al Greens bumper. Love and Happyness.
@@SalvagetoSavage I wanted to say the original bumper is iconic to the look of the original design. Kind of like the sound of Al Greens music, which is from the same time period. I didn't want to be negative about it. The owners input is most important.
Not everything George Barris did was - shall we say - elegant. And The Car (1977) certainly wasn’t. That front looks like a slobby second done on meth… The difference from then to now is a solid healthy Lincoln isn’t the nearest scrapyard away anymore unfortunately. Too bad it looks like a mix between an early ‘80’s B-movie villain car, a road grader, a kid’s drawing of dad’s Volvo 240 and a cereal box now. But if the customer want’s it…
Awesome work! Are you going to color match the trim? Else won’t it look funny when painted and the chrome trim ends on the fender and not down towards the bumper?
I hope that back bumper will look better once car is finished. Right now it reminds me of the big ole dmi rear truck bumpers that. But I'm sure it will look way different when finished, you definitely know way more, have more of a vision than i do. It's gonna be one bad ass looking ride when its all done, I'm jealous
If yours is stock, I would contact Wilwood to find out. We have a Crownvic from end in this and an upgraded rear end, so the brackets we needed for this will probably be very different from what you need.
The brakes here are relatively specific to our crown vic front end and new 9" rear end. Wilwood should be able to get you part numbers that fit your build perfectly!
@@SalvagetoSavage I just like the style of the old bumper. Hiding it with flat sheetmetal panels seems a shame. but its also not my car so my opinion is irrelevant
Love the streamlining! I hope the customer is also eliminating all chrome as well. 🤞 I love the chrome on these old cars. But... if you are going to modernize, then you need to go all the way by eliminating all chrome.
Awesome work so far. That "Slab" gonna be sick af when it's done! "Through Bumper" holes for exhaust or turn downs under bumper? Love "Old School" transformations. It's why I deal 1 Restoration Shop and 1 High End Custom shop here in Franklin, TN.
We're going to get in to the exhaust on the next episode or two. We're on the fence between two designs but we're excited to show y'all which ever one we settle on with the customer !
Not sure how I feel about the front and rear treatment, but I'm looking forward to seeing how it turns out. It's always good to see stuff that I wouldn't have thought of doing in any case.

Happy Wednesday Luis! Hope you're doing well!
It might look cool if a LED light strip was run down the center of the new side bumper piece. Killer as always!
Came here to say that 👍🏼
That's a good idea! Not too late to make a channel for some LEDs!
Don't do it it'll look corny . Keep it classy without any 2023 doodads

Differences in styles and opinions is what makes the car scene cool. Shows would be boring if everyone had the same taste
Dave " Auto Wizard " doing an amazing job on the modifications on front & rear of the car 👌
Dave finds a way to wow us on every project! He earned that wizard title!
It would have been cool to have moulded black out lights the same shape as the body extensions
That would have been sick! Now we gotta look at how to get one-off custom moulds made for the next project!
