The transformation of all of those trees was amazing. I especially loved seeing how that cascade was created. I got a serene feeling just from gazing at the finished products....so appreciated in these pandemic times. Many thanks, Peter!
Dear Peter I follow your videos about the ficus intensively and they are very helpful and instructive for me. I really like the simplicity in which you can understand each bonsai with the necessary resepect. I love your book and I'll put it on the bookshelf first if necessary for advice. Stay healthy and please continue with your videos as long as you can. Kind regards, Andy
Some day my ficus retusa will become just as beautiful as the trees you work with. I only had it almost a year. Rescued from almost nothing, an awful straight flat cut stump. Since then I've cut it at slant. Let it grow, then too much sun on the horrible side. So I transformed it into a hallowed trunk. Everyday I look at it I can't imagine how how much has changed since day one.
Sure glad you continued with part 2. The 3rd one that you also potted was my favorite although they were all beautiful. Thanks for the ficus bonsai lesson, I really enjoyed it.
You should make sure to add the date filmed to all these videos. I find myself looking back at your videos for what time of the year I should do certain things to certain trees. Often going by the date published but I know you now post videos from earlier in the year.

If only I could volunteer or work and learn there... that'll be awesome. That last tree got me, beautiful and unique. Bravo Peter, thx for sharing and can't wait for the next one..cheers.
I’m in the US so I know these trees can not be shipped here. Still curious just the same... what one of these might sell for? Loved all of them! Especially fond of the semi-cascade! 😻
I have got a new mic and used it for the first time last Saturday 7 Nov 20. That video won't appear for a while. Big difference you will find in future

i would love to see the whole journey of a tree, but i recon this is very difficult to film.. like showing the the seedling, the first shaping, the shape after a year and so on
nice work done on Ficus material. Great! I was wondering whether it is better to get rid of the areal roots in the cascade, in order to enhance the contour of the trunk line.
Another great series of lessons. I’m not a huge fan of the aerial roots- could some if those be removed without harm? Some of them seem to interrupt the graceful lines of the trunks. That cascade was a brilliant transformation!! I love watching all of these- you’re a born teacher, and I love watching you think! Many thanks! Jim
Great video! I have some questions: how long does it take for a shipment of trees to be delivered from Asia; how can the trees survive such a long jurney, and do some of them die? Long story short: how is a bonsai delivery from Asia? Thank you in advance
Hard to tell because they will have been grown from thick cuttings and planted in the ground to thicken up. Safe guess would be about 10 years if done this way.
I watch for the bonsai knowledge but get great words of wisdom as a bonus!
Thank you, Mr. Peter! Beautiful work pruning, reshaping, and potting - a Ficus master class! Thank you!
Beautiful demonstration all the important points very well explained showing the true perspective as viewed in its true natural surroundings .
I was much charmed by the semi cascade ficus. How exotic this bonsai is!

Good night Peter. The transformation has been brutal and the kengai was great. Thank you for showing us your gaze so clearly.
That green pot really made me smile. That tree and the semi cascade brought me more joy than I expected 💚
So beautifull mam.
Two life lessons followed, dont be too hasty and dont be greedy..applicable to bonsai styling and daily life. Cheers! Thank you Sensei Peter!
Peter you inspire people to have a go. Such a lovely gift
The pots really made the trees top notch. TY for sharing.
Always a great presentation. Very informative, as well as inspirational.
Keep up the great work.
Would love to see these trees in their current state.
For someone that doesn't like bonsai you sure did a great job and you're happy about it.
You mean Ficus ? But I love bonsai.
Beautiful, beautiful finish. Stunning. Peter Chan it is more than not bad. Those babies are worth their weight in Gold.
Not only the final exposure that is incredible, but the process as well

Awesome & beautiful Ficus bonsai after prune the leaves. Great styles with aerial roots, that's why many people love ficus bonsai
The noise of traffic in the background. matches the doctoring of the trees. Man's stamp on earth.
Amazing trees 🙏 the cascade is fantastic ...
I think this ficus is my favorite bonsaï since the beginning of your youtube channel. I love ficuses and the trunk of this one is admirable !
Great learning. Thank you Peter . Loved the way you did the cascade . Really innovative!!! Thank you 😊
All the trees shown are very beautiful. I was particularly impressed by the work on the second bonsai.

Ficuses are not really my thing, but damn they turned out good. Very dramatic and beautiful specimens, what an impressive transformation.
Loved these ficus videos! Very helpful and inspiring,

All tree are very nice! Great material!
Peters secret is looking into the future of the tree not necessarily the presence of the tree. He see's the tree 5 years from now.
Great video. And really beautiful trees. Thank you once again Peter.

Thanks a lot Sir for this nice presentation with in depth explanations part by part. I appreciate your work and learn a lot. Regards from Imphal.
Well done. Rgds, Jay.
In which season are you pruning trees in a bag? Thank you
Great work.
From Sydney.
In Florida, sometimes we get down to 20°F. I'll bring mine into our enclosed porch if it's dry. If it is freshly watered or rained on it will come into the house in an unheated room.
Is the 20F for just a couple of hours? If longer - it might kill them I guess.
Excellent made for Bonsai 👍👍
When using wire again if you get two pairs of pliars at each end of the wire and yank then apart sharply it straightens the wire, you may have to do it a couple of times
Appreciate the tip Peter, have a day :)
very satisfying video. thank you.
A beautiful tree! I love the curling on this one. Very nice video master 👍 my amateur tree's are doing well with al your tips and tricks 😁

Yep I had to watch... now off to work, a guys gotta have something to do while his trees 🌲 grow!!!
Fantastic work I prefer the semi cascade tree but they as you say are all different.
Beautiful ☺️
Anyone know what soil blend he uses for the Ficus?

Ficus bonsai i love it 👍

Thank you very much sir for importance lecture like that for push my bonsai expert 🙏👍

Hi could you please talk about roots and the trunk. Have one trunk is lope sided. Do I cut it or what ?
nice work done on Ficus material. Great!
I was wondering whether it is better to get rid of the areal roots in the cascade, in order to enhance the contour of the trunk line.
Yes
How do I stimulate new branches to grow on my plants trunk?
GORGEOUS!!!!!!
Good job
I have a ficus that has a root that seems a little spongy. Should I cut it off? Will that harm it? It’s a ginseng type ficus

Jim
Thank you Jim. Removing some aerial roots does not harm the tree because they are extremely vigorous
Grea lesson !
well done!
👍 great work sir but it takes how much time to grow this plant ..
In Bonsai, the Journey is Part of the fun :) i Love pruning and wiring my trees, and watch Them developing :)

From asia to where?
In this case UK
From Japan to UK can take anything from 3 to 6 weeks depending on whether it is non stop or stopping along the way.
Same applies to China, Korea etc
how or where did you get all these? I would like to do something similar for practice.
Great ficus bonsai shaping video! Sir, I have a question..what could be the age of the trees, approximately?
Hard to tell because they will have been grown from thick cuttings and planted in the ground to thicken up. Safe guess would be about 10 years if done this way.
@@peterchan3100Thank you, sir.
25 year
"I know you will say to me 'easier said than done', but how will we know how much to cut? Go with what feels right."
how old is that tree roughly? and what type of ficus?
