- We sat and watched this beautiful elephant as he came towards us and displayed a slight infatuation with the radio antenna. Elephants are very calm and peaceful animals and will only display aggression if they are threatened.
I would never understand why a human would hurt this wonderful creature.
Because elephants kill hundreds of human every year? Idk that's just my opinion.
their tusk is made out of ivory they sell for 1k usd
Probably because they can trample crops, and the safari hotels aren't competitive with legitimate hunters, and sometimes even poachers, as far as supporting local villages

Yeaaah. They can be gentle for sure and seem to actually find humans cute according to some studies, but if you seem like a threat or piss one off somehow it's going to make past tense very quickly. They are extremely powerful animals.

This was a nice encounter, but it's important to note that this is also a high tension situation. African elephants can sometimes be aggressive and attempt to assert dominance if they feel as if their territory is being invaded. I'm just happy this one was in a good mood.

Correction - That was very Cool (of you AND The Elephant).
I went to a zoo with my family when I was little when we went to the elephant enclosure an elephant came over waving at us then he drank water a blew it out straight up in the air.
Then I went to a fair and they had 2 elephants one of the bigger ones they let us ride on top of her when we got off I gave her a pet and the owner yelled for me to come back he removed her mask on her head and said "Here is where she likes to be pet buddy give her a scratch" so I did and it was the neatest thing ever
God's name elephants are not for riding. A minute of thoughtless acts is what is causing these animals to disappear. When we ride, bathe and watch painting by elephants, they are poached by killing their mothers, tied and beaten to train with a sharp tool, for them to fear. Without breaks and food forced to walk carrying a human like yourself, does that sound fun or slavery for life? If you are mindful, you will protect animals and stop humans poaching them for our entertainment , that promotes cruelty and their numbers are disappearing due to people exploiting them and people who think it was fun.
If that Tusk of his was hit by a poacher, I am unamused of what he or she did. But if it was a wild animal or itself on an accident, I feel sorry for that poor elephant.

Yes. in fact all bulls are not aggressive in any way except when they are in musth. But the females with their young are very temperamental.

There was a calf in the vid as well as a few others wondering. Bulls arent really trusted around calfs.

Its a shame that these magnificent creatures are going extinct, money should not matter, yes it's a life source, but our Earth and natural features deserve to be respected and looked after, not having corpses of dead animals like Elephants which are poached for their tusks.. 😪😭😡
