Katie Green's Blue Angel Flight Experience (Shorter)

- Опубліковано 8 жов 2014
- On October 6, 2014 I was given the chance of a lifetime. I got to fly in the #7 F-18 Blue Angel jet with Lieutenant Ryan Chamberlain. It was life changing. If you admire the Blue Angels, just know that the cockpit experience is so intense that it takes a very SPECIAL person to be able to do what they do. Thank you to Good Jet and all the people there for the hospitality, thanks to the Blue Angels for the amazing flight and thanks to my friends and family for supporting me while I was scared as hell. ♥
Love the way these pilots talk when theyre gonna make a move. "Readyyyy, HIT it ! So cool.
They talk like that to set up timing
I bet their wives get tired of hearing them say it .
They do it to let her know when to get into a anti g position
That stuff makes me sicker I think. Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeer we gooooo. Yeah, my stomach hears that it's over.
@@mike28003 that's pretty neat, you learn something new everyday
I never heard anyone say after vomiting: "Lets do a barrel roll, i am cool"
Respect good lady!
I wish local buses could do barrel rolls 😂
DO A BARREL ROLL!
@@techster69 busses in Russia do barrel rolls... you should come
@@fatehgyani119 send me a ticket mate 😄
She was doing so well. I thought she would pass out several times, but she's been so cool, so calm and so functional. She's been doing better than many men.
Republic of China Ball中華民國球 I appreciate you. Thank you!
I was afraid of roller coasters until I was 16 and I absolutely cried to my dad before this.
Simp
salaah khayr I don’t think you know how to use that word I bet ur a child
@@aralateeqi calm yourself no need to get mad over a joke
Could you imagine blacking out and waking up and ur flying a jet lol
Pillow Pants 😂😂😂
Like ah shit I gotta stop drinking
I can imagine waking up with a pile of vomit in my lap.
Baaahahaha I was praying to not be one of those people the whole time! All you have to do is pay attention in the pre flight class and you won’t pass out. 😊
I might have puked but I did not pass out! 😂😂
That is one brave lady
Dave Rogers thank you. I cried like a baby before going up lol
Class Act, thanked the pilot and Crew Chief!
*GO BLUE Angels, GO NAVY!*
@@katiegradio i would pee myself. i hate flying
Securely strapped in well maintained high tech aircraft with a well trained pilot...where does "brave" enter into it?
Dave Rogers how the fuck is she brave bruh ima join the Air Force and ima fly a f22 raptor that isn’t brave she’s just in a navy fighter jet????
This is the coolest, chillest pilot ever! I wish he was my pilot everytime
Every time? Do you flight backseat with the blue angels often?
@@captaincoleslaw174 that's what I was thinking lol!
She's so cute!!!
I can be your driver
That's a she I guess 🤔
Pulling “G’s” like a serious trooper. Not an easy thing to do! You go girl! Outstanding! 💪💪💪🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸👍
Why cant people just enjoy a video of someone having a great experience? Im jealous cause Id love to try it, but also just happy seeing someone really enjoying it! Good job :)
Not me, I'm a Sailor! I'll stick to my storms at sea, and, maybe gettin'n sunk! Doc Mike USN
I agree !! Some people just don't have any sense.
@Shirl Zitting Vomit from alcohol no, vomit from a jet ride? Heck yeah! :P
@@Speedytrip Yep, I'd puke my guts up, but I'd STILL do it given the shot! It would be worth EVERY uuuurp.
My bucket list included skydiving, yep was able to achieve that one about 4 years ago.
Her: *hick*hick*hick*
Pilot: *coughing*
guess he was sipping his coffee and got it wrong in the throat
Made me laugh
The hick is the correct technique and what all pilots are taught,
It is called the "Hook” maneuver and is used for high g maneuvers to keep more blood in the brain vice in the legs to maintain consciousness. It wasn't enough G for the pilot to need to use the hook maneuver in this situation.
@@kdb3434 No, Kyle... It's not called the Hook - It's called the Hick. Technically, it's called the "Anti-G Straining Maneuver," but "Hick" is the sound you make, and a lot of people call it the Hick Maneuver. Nobody (ever) calls it the Hook Maneuver. Dumbass.
It always amazes me how slow it looks like it is going
how do you see how fast they are going, all you can see is clouds
Cause it IS!
It's cos our mind can't perceive the speed unless we have a proper comparison. There is nothing in air, if you have a bird it's relative motion can show us how fast those guys are actually going.
That's because Earth is REALLY big :)
that is called relativity proposed by einstein 😃
You do it, girl! She really enjoys the travel. Always with a smile on her face. That Roller coaster, is not for everyone. We salute you, from Argentina; brave lady!
That pilot was amazing. Not only does he have to fly like that, but fight as well. I'm glad he's on our side.
This lady did extremely well, I bet there are not many folk whom could stomach those G-Forces!
She certainly hit the G-Spot for sure!, God Bless Her!
As much as I would LOVE and appreciate the chance to do this, you handled yourself WAY better than I know I would. Total respect.
I’d probably be bawling like a baby.
I’m def flying
I would most likely pass out from rolling[gone to sik Bay me,)
This lady is very courageous on her first aerobatic flight with such an élite flyer as a a Blue Angel!Congratulations to both!Hello from France!
Lt. Ryan has such a soothing voice, he's so sweet, and cool. Glad you got to experience flying in that kind of jet, I enjoyed watching, thanks for sharing.
Its so cool how the passengers are on the struggle bus pulling so many Gs but the pilots talk them through it like they're hanging out with you having a beer. So damn cool! Go Blue Angels! :)
She's doing very well for her first time, that s what happens when you're young and strong 👍
The Blue Angels are the worlds absolute finest! And you did so amazing to be able to do that without having a panic attack! 👍
No, your thinking of the Red Arrows.
I am impressed with that young lady!!!! The pilot, it's a given.....
😮 So much respect for this lady. I just can’t comprehend how someone would be able to do this. I would die instantly.
Really? So much respect for someone that sat in a plane whilst someone else flew. We are doomed if you are the new normal.
*Very nice view over the Clouds and Katie it looks like i had a lot of Fun. Thumb up*
, That’s such a cool opportunity! I didn’t know this was even possible!
Nice work 👍🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 in the seventies I was sitting on a beach with my family as a veteran and I heard them pass by I jumped up and said he’ll yeah the power of these plans and how the performance… absolutely marvelous…” we never 👎🏻 forget what this country is …” … 👍🏼❤️👍🏼😉🇺🇸
Wow! Great job flying, Katie Green! You were so brave flying with the Blue Angels! Great flying! 😎👍
She handled that very well!
She's a keeper!
"Do a barrel roll!"
"Try spinning, that's a good trick"
"To do a barrel roll, press Z or R twice!"
Trick in google
Every time!!!!!
Quelle générosité de la part de ces pilotes! Et bravo pour cette femme qui a eu un immense plaisir avec cette fantastique expérience.
Amazing!! Girl! You have more guts than I and I was a Firefighter for over a decade!! My Hats off to you!
You absolutely handled those G's like a pro. Very impressed!
Hello Katie - I was equally honored to get to fly with the Blue Angels today! It was totally awesome! And it makes watching videos of other people's flights that much more fun!
Twas not easy coach! I tried so hard not to puke but the 0G did me in
Handled it like a boss Katie! Well done.
seen a lot of tough guys pass out with even less than that,,, you did awesome lady... !!!
she is so chill. Amazing lady.
I'd throw up and pass out almost instantly.
kels matthews me to. This gal is amazing.
I wouldn't
Hey ,you are very beautiful
That looked so amazing!! What a cool experience!!
I’ve seen men pass out, you did amazing.
Wow, I'm no flying expert but I think you did mighty fine pulling 6G. That might get you past some SAMS and FLAK, and I'm pretty sure you'd beat the FLAK below LOL. But yeah, that stall and negative g would have thrown my middle year out west for the vomit comet too! Then you're landing flashing those pearlie whites! I've seen people scream and panic during a commercial flight over a bit of turbulence. So well done super star and I envy your experience in a legacy hornet, let alone the blue angles.
You handled that like a pro! Awesome!!
Tough lady. I got nauseated just watching this
LOL its not to bad once you get used to it. Odds are your going to puke your guts out after your first flight but after that your body gets used to the positive and negative G forces involved with the 18
really?? I've tried flying a glider, but I felt super sick just for the take off... the nausea of flying the air stream behind the plane with the engine really got me... But after that it was kind of fun. I want to try it again but I'm afraid I'll vomit
@@CDRhammond I'll take your word for it, sir
Me too! Even its seems slow, but the pressure up there is much different
Amazing! You are in the line of people that are admired for being able to ride with them.
You really got to hand it to the guys who fly these fighters & helicopters. For me, it's just mind-blowing. What an experience. 🇨🇦🕊🇨🇦🌞
Pilot: Do again?
She: yas that’s fun🤢🤮
*uses barf bag*
"Let's do a barrel roll!"
The Nightmare The “Right Stuff!”
Thanks for uploading this video..I felt like as if I am sitting in front of u and enjoying the ride.. May the God bless u..
its crazy how you can see the wings flex as they change directions.
At lease you had a once in life time experience, good for you. Cross that one off your bucket list LOL
What a trooper! Great job Katie! 😎
That's sooo cool, incredible and inspiring. Thanks for sharing your wonderful experience!
I was MMS on F-4's in Kunsan Korea AFB back in the early 70's. Sure wish I had a chance to take a flight. I can only dream.
I believe she got at least a private pilot license after this experience.
She did amazing! I thought she had that zero, but still awesome 👍
She did an incredible job.
That's so awesome. It's one of my bucket list items to fly in a jet before I die. You're very lucky and it looks like you had a great time.
how far has human knowledge reached. Amazing and congratulations. From Rio Brazil.
I'm glad she's having a good time god bless her heart 🇺🇸👍
What an experience! Zero g’s is not a stomachs best friend. Thanks for the blur😁
Yep 0 G sucks
Those seconds upside down seemed like eternity to me , and I think she was like " isn't that enough ? "
Omgggg.. I would love to experience this.. Wings over Houston was here this weekend.. and I was in Heaven..
That must’ve been such a cool experience!
Hey Katie! I am so incredibly jealous of you. I spent many of my younger years at airshows with my father. We would go to watch the Blue Angels perform and I was always in awe after every performance. My life long dream is to ride along with one of these guys some day. So amazing!
You were a real trooper! Those g-forces looked tough to deal with at times.
I'm curious as to how you got the opportunity to ride along with Lieutenant Chamberlain?
Pause The Moment Hi! Sorry for the lonnnnggg delay! I am a conservative talk show host in San Francisco and our station sponsors Fleet Week! I wish I could get you hooked up to go up but I can look into how to do it? I really don’t even know how it goes when you’re not a sponsor but I can at least check it out if you’d like!
Katie Green i think you're very beautiful, Katie. Ly❤
A conservative now I really love you girl ! Lol, my father flew F-4's in Vietnam, I fly myself but nothing like the ride you took, God Bless You and give those Liberals hell !!!
His channel died awhile back
ooh wow thats so sick!
This is amazing!! Good thing you kept the barf bag contained! Kudos
coolest thing in the world. extremely jealous, this would be the experience of a lifetime. hope to do this one day! i’m
happy for this girl she seems so excited
"Feels weird, dudn't it?"
wow I wished I had that experience minus the throwing up.
i love this instructor
She had the real blue angels out in that uniform .. support her troops
Awesome job Katie!!
The Nancy Pilosi face expressions lol 😂
We use to have an air show where we lived every year when I was little. Until the fatal crash. I always looked forward to it every year. Miss watching them.
The fatal crash
You lucky girl & didnt look like she got anywhere near air sick. Great pilot.
I’m feeling the pressure of the plane of just watching this. She probably felt a little vertigo and dizziness once she got off the jet. I felt a little of that just from skydiving.

Is good to see thes vid
Tnx:)
I actually fell over after telling my dad I was okay 😂 he caught me. My legs completely gave out
"How did i know i was upside down? Cos there was shit coming out of me collar"
Years ago I was a Federal Firefighter on the Air Crash Rescue Team assigned to these guys while they were at their Winter Training Grounds in EL Centro/Seeley, CA. Naval Air facility. Back Than they were flying the SKYHAWKS. Very cool, Good for you.
I need to fly with the blue guys one time! I dream and tired for 15 years! Please spread the word!!
sweetness, and dang i missed my calling to be a fighter pilot! however, where do i sign up for this?!?!

El sueño de mi vida volar en uno de los aviones de los Blue Angels!!!!
Those pilot's voices are too soothing.
Pilot: "Now, we are going to fly straight down and fly nose first into an active volcano and we are going to die." Rider: "ok." Sounds good."
Pilot: " reeaaddyy? Hit it."
Baaahahahaha you’re not kidding 😂😂😂
Yea I got a little queasy watching this, but I'll bet it's an experience you'll never forget. Great video
Let's hope we never get to experience a barrel roll in commercial airlines 😂
Apparently they could all do that no problem. I can't remember where I saw that...a documentary on the Boeing test pilots I think.
I love how only the right earpiece of my headset is getting sound and not my right.... :I My right ear hurts like hell right now.
She is very strong girl.God bless her.
Props! She didn’t passed out! What an experience!
That is some sustained floater airtime when he does the first zero g thing
my right ear is bleeding
cruelwest why
Lol fucking dying
Wow! Thank you for sharing. Exciting!
Man... just watching that got my palms sweaty! Awesome!!!

When they go upside down did anyone else feel like they were upside down too?
When you look at the moon do you ever wonder if someone else is looking at that very same moon at that same time?
Oh snap, Dude! I thought I was the only one. I felt her zero G! No joke!
@@justanotherguy469 Did you get sick too? I sure did. But it wasn't because of the 0G
What an attitude! Good show.
Nice ride up high to the sky... just watching this fly make me feel like ride rollercoaster going ten thousand feet top n coming back down with rolling... don't eat or drink everything will come out top or button.. a peace 🙋
