One last point Annie. Civilians don’t realize how good of shape a fighter pilot has to be in. That is why we maintain a close check of their physical and mental status all the time in Aerospace Medicine. 👍👍👍

Wow I grew up AirForce Enlisted Army at 17 wanted to go to Nam to help and do my part. My passion has all my life been Fighters streaking across our skies at blinding speeds. I salute all you flight crews and aviators of all our branches of service. Each one holds a special place in my heart. My granddaughter graduated this and going to college in the spring I hope she still aspires to be a fighter piolet. What a thrill it gives me.God bless

I’m 74 and when I was a little girl, my mom and dad took us to the airshow every year where we lived and my highlight was the Blue Angels. They became my heroes and all my life never forgotten how amazing they were to watch. They still intrigue me as much today as they did back then. God bless the Blue Angels and keep them safe always.

I am a USMC veteran from the late 70's. I was stationed in southern California at a couple of bases; LTA & MCAS El Toro.
It sounds a bit goofy but LTA stands for Lighter Than Air. It was an old deridgeable, Air Ship base from WWII. It was a helicopter base while I was there I was temporarily there for OJT while waiting for a slot at training for working on the Harrier powplant. The CH53 that I was assigned to has the same power plant.
The wait for my original MOS training got to be 2 years out, so I had to choose a new MOS. The one that I picked took me to school at 29 Palms. My regular duty station wound up being at El Toro, a base with a lot of history.
While I was in service I was fortunate to fly on several air craft, from a Apache to a C6. Little did I know how many doors that my time at LTA would open for me.
While at LTA I served as 1st Mate on the CO's bird. We flew almost every day of the week.
Once I got to El Toro I didn't fly as much, still about once a week.
Shortly after being assigned to my unit, which sat at the end of the main runway, I was able to see my first Blue Angels show right there at El Toro.
All of those teams are highly skilled pilots, and I hold each of them in high regard. The Blue Angels though are at the top of the list. Plus they fly on of my most favorite air craft, the F18 Hornets.

One of the absolute coolest videos I have ever seen. Actually it got me a little bit emotional. Here it is a conservative voice that we hear each and every day on the radio that stands for Faith, Family and our American way of life ...... getting to feel for just a brief time what these absolutely brave men and women do daily to protect these same freedoms that you talk about on the radio. A full circle so to speak. Congrats Annie on accomplishing something that most can only dream about. God Bless the U.S.A. !!

Oh my Lord, what memories. As an old Air Force Veteran, who's job was maintaining, B 52 bombers, through the end of Vietnam. The bumping he mentioned, about moving flight controls, when we launched bombers, the crew chief called flight controls, just to be doubly sure everything works. Arming the ejection seats, those handles I made sure to stay clear of, if and when I had any work to be done in the cockpit.
By the way, are any of you familiar with an operation by the name of Linebacker 2 ?

Awe I hope she got some pics with her daughter. She was so proud of her mom!
Aside from that…you know how many service men and women don’t have an opportunity to fly…this even includes their crew chiefs, etc…all branches are like that. They do it for PR. It’s a bone I have had to pick with the service even when I did my 20! I always tried to get my troops set for incentive flights.

Thank you for watching! As it was explained to me, I was invited as a member of the media to promote awareness of the awesomeness (my word!) of our armed forces. I hope I was able to do that, but never want to take the place of one of the amazing men or women that have worn the uniform for our country. Thank YOU for your service!

I grayed out for about one second on the very last maneuver! I said earlier, it was like the curtains closed, but I was still on stage. Then I was back! Thank you for watching. We have the greatest military!

Darn girl, I'm so ridiculously jealous. My Father and Grandfather were Australian Air Force, and I have a passion for all things FAST (racing cars, friend that are stunt pilots,) did a few years as an air hostess. When my Son was 5, a great friend of mine from the US sent my Son a die cast model of a Blue Angel. I just tried to find I to see what number it is, missing in action. So I don't know which one it is. My Son's passion and my nagging to find his passion for his job? He went from bring a bricklayer, to a Commercial Pilot. Between flying and scuba diving, I'm extatic in the air and water. Thank you Blue Angel's and Annie. You made my old heart race.
