You are right. It was a time where I was looking for the best strategy to land on A Mooney on a short distance. Now I keep 75-80 knts up to the edge of the runway with a neg pitch then I cut the trottle and start to flare at 65knts with fill flaps. That gives the shortest distance to land 300 m approx. Whith more than 15knts of wind I use only one stage of flaps same but 70-75 knts for the flare. Always keep 80knts until the very end of the landing is the key at neg pitch.
