I’ll expand on a few things. Water storage and collection, get clean 5gal buckets and lids. They nest in less space when empty. Fill them when expecting a storm or when something happens before the water is cut off. Even if the buckets aren’t good for drinking, they can be used for cleaning, fire suppression, and flushing toilets just by pouring in the bowl. Rainwater, snow melt and the nasty water in the local ditch will flush a toilet. I used sea water a couple times after a hurricane. I’ve used a bucket toilet full time for years. Tidy Cats seems the most effective. Using an “empty” laundry detergent bottle as a urinal decreases smell issues because liquids mixing with solids make the smell worse. The detergent that remains tends to float on top and reduces oder also. Choose cheap flashlights that only require one battery to operate. Having enough lumens to light the dark side of the moon isn’t necessary for utility purposes and replacing one battery instead of 20 makes the preps last longer. A few solar rechargeable landscaping lights are also handy. The choice of Glock platform is also good. Choosing the.40sw version allows the use of conversion barrels so that you aren’t limited to one type of ammunition should sources become scarce. The advantage arms conversion also works well. This gives you 4 basic caliber options plus a couple exotic options in one firearm. The larger frame 45/10mm also has multiple options. A little thought and prep can make what is a horrible or survival situation for most just become an inconvenience.
@helidude3502 , I concur 100%. Additionally, multiple caliber firearms are definitely the way to go. Thanks for watching and commenting. I appreciate it!!!

One thing I would suggest is a pure sine wave inverter with battery clips if you own a car. A gas-powered generator would be tough in an apartment setting, but if you own a car, you already have a gas-powered way to generate electricity. This would be one way to recharge a power station like the Jackery. To me, it would be no less obvious than solar panels sticking out of your balcony and it'll work even if it's not sunny. Get the solar panels for sure, but this is a cheap backup plan. Obviously, you would have to decide if you needed the gas in the car for evacuation before using it to shelter in place. Most solar generators allow you to charge from a 12v cigarette lighter port, but most cars will only allow you to get about 100-150 watts from there. With an inverter, you can clip onto your battery directly to get whatever your car's alternator can handle and charge the power station with AC power if you can adjust the charging rate to match what you can get from the car. I'm not familiar with the Jackery, but the Bluetti AC180 has a "silent mode" that charges at around 300 watts if you're not drawing a load through it. Almost any car can handle 300 watts and you'll charge your power station at 2 or 3 times the rate you get from the cigarette lighter. It's not efficient to convert DC to AC back to DC or to use a whole car engine just for electricity, but it'll work. There are DC to DC chargers, but they cost several hundred where a 500 watt pure sine wave inverter is about $70.
@@kylefrandsen2665, Great suggestion. I will definitely add that recommendation in my next video on Apartment/Condo Preparedness. Thanks for watching and commenting. I appreciate it!!!
Another suggestion is buy a 12v 200 AH lithium battery and use a car cigarette adapter or cigarette cord attachment to charge your jackery . Use that with a ac charger to plug into that portable inverter for a faster recharge of both the jackery and that extra battery that way you save money without buying the jackery or bluetti extra battery bank. Those jackery and bluetti solar generator have a way to charge them using a cigarette lighter so this hack works well.
When I was a beer drinker ,never drank water ( been sober 9 months now ) . Now get almost all my water from orange juice , milk in my cereal ,water already in progresso soup . Lemonade ,clementines ,vegetables all have the water I need . Have not had more than 1 half pint of extra water in 9 months and doing fine . My water usage is my shower and toilet . @brashachilles9725 , you can if you do it properly. I have done it several times. I put down a welding cloth and a large metal baking sheet and then put the Mr. Buddy Heater on top of both of them, while simultaneously keeping it about a foot away from the tent walls. Even though I take all of those precautions, the one thing you can not do is leave it on while you sleep. You heat up the inside of the tent with your Mr. Buddy Heater, and then you turn it off right before you go to sleep. If you wake up and the temp has dropped significantly, then you repeat the process. Again, never leave the heater on in the tent, while you sleep. Thanks for watching and commenting. I appreciate it.
@HorsesArePeople2 , you are correct, but I have a plan to fix that. During a Grid-Down Scenario, I use my ICECO JP42 12-VOLT D/C Portable Refrigerator to freeze a bunch of water bottles (Powered by my Solar Generators). Then I throw them into a cooler with water that I modified with PVC pipe and use the fans to move air over the water with the frozen water bottles in it to create cool air. It's the same concept as a swamp cooler. I have actually done this five or six times during power outages, and it works fantastic. Thanks for watching and commenting. I appreciate it.

I'm not sure those fans alone will be able to keep you cool in the heat. You'll need a cooling source, otherwise you're just moving hot air around
