I’m just picturing scenarios where LegenVD goes insane and starts peeking into peoples windows like “LOOKIN FOR MAGIC CARDS?!”

Watching you draft makes me finally understand why I go 0 in 3
It's crazy to me how he'll take a deck like this, that I would for sure go 0 and 3 with and take it as far as he does.
@@curvedlines I recommend you visit the web draftism.
I love how organically this 5 colour deck came together! It was very informative to see this example of when it _is_ appropriate to dip into every colour. It seems that whenever I try to do so during a draft it ends in disaster
Love your MTGA video. Always straight to the point. No blah blah blah about what you did today unlike other channels.
I'm so impressed you made a rainbow deck in draft and it worked. Learned a lot, thanks.
It's amazing how a common can be such an easy first pick.
24:02 That was actually badass. Legend's deck finally going online after being passive for a little bit. Sarkon saying "We begin, your end has arrived!" and the opponent immediately surrendering.
I used to play Magic like 20 years ago.
I just got back into it last week.
I learned a lot from this video; how to draft efficiently and just some general tips.
Thank you!
Rainbow road got there! Appreciate the vods and the detailed explanations for all the picks and plays :)
Learned a lot with this draft, and the way you understand synergy.
Green on WAR is the color to go to splash anything.
Playing a Sarkhan with no mountains has got to be the most ballsy and smartest move I've ever seen. I usually skip the deck building part when it's sort of obvious (specially since you build along the way). But this one was super interesting. Excellent example of why you are so good at this.
I'd definitely put one single mountain in there because of death sprout and also occasionally Bond Of Flourishing if you need it. Other than that I really like what you did here, great draft! :)
Wait, so you're in the Top 30 drafters of Arena? Damn, impressive
hope you upload one or both of your two seven-win DOM drafts from yesterday. doesn't hurt to flex your top-10 limited mythic status for your YT viewers to see hehe
Dang, I love how you calmy draft using just brilliant logic and get to a point where it's 5C....... I get to 3 colours by the end and I start to freak out hahahahaha :)
Watching this draft live was quite a blast. My head started aching after p2p1 trying to make sense.
Always happy to see more draft videos
Great content, thank you!
5C goodstuff, basically :D I like it
Shenanigans, but calculated shenanigans. Beautiful.
gratz to mythic!
sadly the war of the spark ranked is over for now, but to be honest I wasn't doing so well in it anyway... it seemed a bit swingy with all the bombs
love listening to you before sleep. i recommand that u make a new channal where you read stories and books
when that wandered appeared, I was kinda hoping you would go with a 5 colours deck, hardcore difficulty.
Love draft and war of the spark
Yay! DRAFT! I love those
OMG! Ashiok in this format single handledy wins games
Would rather say Ashiok is "win more when you are ahead" kind of a card in this format. Sarkan however, i feel can turn a loss to a win.
@@muffZor89 yeah. A lot of people see sarkhan come out when you have another pw on the board and just concede.
56:10
opponent paid 5 mana for a spark harvest earlier, they must have forgotten that they had aid the fallen or forgotten that they could sacrifice planeswalkers
Lol just saw your comment on game knights and reconized you.
1:08:14 you're actually not looking at what they kept on top 'cause they've drew the two cards they've left on top with the Epiphany's scry ;)
Good catch.
50:16 actually, Spark Harvest can kill planeswalkers too ;)
I'm aware, that's why I explained killing the creature to play around Aid the Fallen.
@@LegenVD oh I see, makes sense then
Amazing another draft!
32:08 why not keeping back the spider to block the Vizier and prevent 1 damage? you're losing the race anyway, I don't get that attack
Yeah that was a mistake, for some reason I thought the creatures still had Menace from Angrath.
Brutal mute @28:14
Love draft
Can you try to make a spider tribal deck? I'd be eternally grateful. 😍
just waiting for your dominaria draft when you open up two teferis
Wouldn't taking shriek diver on 3-4 be much better than challenging troll? Troll is nice but your curve seems really fucky with so many late drops
I think they're on different power levels. Troll is way stronger. I value power over curve personally and would rather play 5 mana 6/5s with upside over 3 mana 2/1 flyers with negligible upside.
New to MTG. What system and game are you playing?
Mtg Arena on PC
Will you be making mtgo content with the latest set on the horizon?
Yes!
We all lookin' for magic cards
15:00 - The Geode is absolutely the correct pick, but not for the reason you stated (you don't actually have a lot to do on 4 mana: Silverwing gets cut anyway, removal and card draw don't have to get played on curve, Kas was your only real 4-drop).
The correct reasoning for taking Geode over Centaur is that it lets you ramp into a 5-drop. If your bomb was Ugin, you would want a Centaur. There are incidental reasons why 5-drop bombs are better with Geode and 6-drops with Centaur as well: they tend to be more agressive cards, so srcying away extra lands or scrying into the 4th land to ensure they are cast on curve is extremely important, the 6-drops are game ending on their own, so Centaur helps stabilize the board and heals you as well.
So the rules for choosing between the mana fixing cards are, imo:
Geode (and Horizons, but it's much worse) - Nissa, Sarkhan, God eternals
Centaur - Ugin (he doesn't need fixing, but ramp is good), Lilly, 4/5 mana spells (Rla's outburst, Deathsprout, Wanderer's strike, Spark harvest)
Globe (and Plaza in control decks) - 1-of good cheap commons and uncommons (Bloom hulk, Jaya's greeting, Cruelty, layline prowler...), Bolas
Globes are generally good because they cycle and activate a lot of creature abilities, so you should always take them over any replaceable card
Yeah, I didn't explicitly mention that, but that's definitely part of the curve talk as well.
Hi, I stopped playing MTG when when Urza's Destiny came out (20 years ago like one person here lol) and played MTGA for about 3 weeks now. So far I'm not using money/wildcards/gold and I'm struggling with daily quests playing basic green/red decks (a bit upgraded with random cards, still about 55% win rate but games feel "unfair" due to lack of quality of my cards and *cough* stupid mistakes). I'm wondering if there are any "bonus weeks" or something that lowers the cost to play (like half price drafts etc)? Should I keep my gold and wildcards or just spend it? The same with gems are there any bonus days with gems selling cheaper? I have the £5 and £15 bundles but even buying £100 bundle gives you just about 13 drafts so £100 for 13x bad draft due to lack of skill doesn't seem compelling lol. You definitely have the best MTG channel, somehow I'm hoping it's not going to grow because it means more people will learn how to play well hahaha! Ofc I wish you all the best :) Keep them videos rolling! Moar drafts!
Thanks! No discount days so far. Lots of promo codes for free packs and cardstyles though.
@@LegenVD Thank you for your reply, your are UA-cam first to reply to my comment lol! I googled all the free packs etc so got it sorted, ta. I don't understand why you haven't got milions of subscribers whilst other people who put no skill or thought to their content are blooming like crazy... mind numbing really...

Is there a reason you never take the 1/1 haste lifelink black creature?
It's just not good unless you play a very agressive deck, and I don't think that those are good in this grindy format
LedPESRule RB suicide aggro and GW proliferate aggro are both very good in the format, but the 1/1 is still bad because it’s way too low impact. RB wants ahn-crop invaders and burning prophets and stuff, not a 1-power body. Grim Initiate is playable (if just ok) because 1) first strike means combat tricks on it actually just eat the enemy creature, they don’t 2-for-1 yourself and 2) it comes with two bodies to sacrifice
@@sambarrows7543 Oh yeah, sure, even in aggro he's quite bad. Grim Initiate is much better and even then I only play him if I'm really short on playables
Imagine drawing banehound turn eight.
Dumb question maybe but isn't ranked draft over in Arena now? Isn't it just traditional draft? This video must be slightly old.
Ranked War of the Spark ended last Friday, it changed to Ranked Dominaria now.
Dominaria videos coming soon.
@@LegenVD Okay cool. Sorry if that came off as a slight, I just am new to Arena so wasn't sure if I was missing something. Heard Dominaria is a good draft set so looking forward to the vids
