I worked with Tiffany Haddish at Alasks Airlines, in the early 2000s, and one day Smokey flew on us. We chatted for a bit, and he went on up to the gate. I called some of my female co-workers who knew he was coming, and told them he was here. 15 minutes later, I get a frantic call from one of them because they can't find him. Well, Smokey was sitting on the floor, playing Backgammon with some other passengers. Such a great and humble brother.

I had such a crush on Smokey Robinson when I was 14 years old. My grandma would laugh her tail off. "What do you know about Smokey Girl ?"
And I would just swoon over this man. She agreed and had taken my Otis Redding C.D once because she thought it was hers. 😂
I miss these days. I miss old school R&B/Soul

Mad respect to Nas dropping a line about Smokey Robinson on the track We Will Survive from the I Am... album. Started listening to Smokey Robinson albums and The Miracles albums off of Nas name dropping him on that track. Smokey is mad underrated, when people talk about legends and GOATS he often is left out of the conversation.
