      Thank You. The way I see it, all printers are preference. I got this in November of last year and I still love it. The situation was because the spool got tangled in itself which happens in any printer, even Bambu I found out. It really depends on which problem you want to deal with, and how much you are willing to spend. I thought about Bambu and may still get it in the future if I don't want to paint my figures anymore.
      The artist in me enjoys that past time so that's why I stick with the Ender 3 series. Within the 6 months that I've had this printer, I've had at least almost 200 prints done then when I had the ender 3 v2 which only gave 30 because I bought it before they started creating auto bed leveling and it was a pain.
      Budget wise, this is still a great printer for small hobbies. If you're looking to make profit from printing, then more expensive printers are your best bet. Just make sure you do your research so you don't end up having to call customer service all the time. ;)

      Thank you. I know there are printers out there that are more efficient than this. For someone on a budget, like myself, and you want to know how to manage your printer while learning how to find the best setting for smoother prints, then work on that until one can afford printers like Bambu...that's the goal. So research what printer your looking for amd Happy Printing!😊

      @@JustAnAverageGirl83 So far i noticed, that it,s only the ecstatics that are appealing. I did a few prints on the new ender3 v2, and honestly, my modified original Ender3 does a better job so far.
      Maybe with some tweaking, it might perform better. So which printer are you referring to? That performs better?

    • @JustAnAverageGirl83

      @Jeatnet40 So much props to you, for successfully managing the gen 1 printers. The Bambu is all the rave. I've seen UA-cam videos where it can make errors and have problems as well. Personally, I feel all printers are a preference. I once had an ender 3 v2, and I did more bed leveling than printing even when modified, so that's why I went with the SE. Ever since the auto bed leveling, I've printed more figures and had little error minus this clog which was due to the spool getting tangled in itself.

    hi there, im new to 3d printing and this is my first printer. luckily i didnt have this issue but i did have to fix the touch error on day 2 so ive just been watching videos on how to maintain the thing just in case. This was a good video.

      Welcome to the 3D printing world! 🥳 Was it the CR touch error?! And you just got the printer?! 🤯 oh, that's interesting. I wonder if creality realizes that? I'm glad that you were able to resolve it. As a starter printer, I've enjoyed it for quite sometime. Had a lot more successful prints than the Ender 3 v2. Happy Printing and thank you for checking out my channel

    Thank you. This was very helpful. Outstanding camera work and closeups. Somehow my print got messed up and dried filament was caked all over everything. I ended up using a heat gun + heating the extruder to soften it enough to pry off with needle nose pliers. (Seems to be OK - test print is coming out OK.) God Bless

      @JustAnAverageGirl83  14 днів тому

      Thank you very much. I have a heat gun, can I use that to clean up dried caked filament on my heatsink? Cause your method is brilliant.

    • @ridethetsunami
      @ridethetsunami 14 днів тому +1

      @@JustAnAverageGirl83 I think it would work. You probably want a nozzle on the heat gun that is focused so you're not accidentally overheating other parts of the print head. I was able to focus it just on the dried filament and as it would start to melt I could easily pry it off with some tool. I'm not as familiar as you are with all the components. If you are aware of something sensitive you may want to place Kapton tape over it for some extra heat protection.

      Welcome to the SE Club!!! I'm going on six months since I upgraded from the manual Ender 3 V2. I didn't mind self bed leveling but by the time I finished leveling the bed I was able to print 6 successful prints out of 20. Whereas with the SE, I've had 180 successful prints (I'm including individual parts) out of 200 roughly. So despite its minor problems and hiccups, I still love this printer.

    I have this problem on both of my machines almost every time I leave the filament in the printer. I have always been able to heat it up a little hotter than usual, then extrude a little. After that I can usually pull the filament back out.
    It was very informative watching dismantle the extruder/hotend. Haven't had to do this yet but I'm sure I will soon. One of my printers has an issue that I would think is a clog but I've cleaned it out, replaced the nozzle, and both fans. I may be digging into it trying to solve the problem.

      I may do the same just for the sake of learning about this printer, cause there are not a lot of videos out there for the ender v3 SE. I've always taken things apart and tried to figure out how to put it back together as a kid. I may do something like this for my printer for the sake of knowledge. lol

    I had that same problem with my se in a enclosure it was open but i guess its a common problem for the filament to get stuck right where it enters the heat sink so what i did was sense mine was clogged in the entrance i heated that unclogger up with a torch put it on the filament waited for it to cool then got it right out of there hope it will help you one day if you need it!

    So this happens on SE's all the time, you just heat up the nozzle, you can do this via the control menu or via your method or you can even just use the "extrude" or "retract" functions. Once the nozzle is above 180 degrees (for PLA), push the filament downwards to melt the bit thats catching then pull it up and out, easy. I dont recomment taking it apart as you did here every time you need to remove filament.

    • @JustAnAverageGirl83
      @JustAnAverageGirl83  20 днів тому +1

      To be honest, this had only happened twice in my many prints.
      1) I didn't clean away the silk PLA when switching out filament, and it got stuck in the extruder, and I had to open it up because it was stuck where I couldn't heat it up.
      2) This video, the filament got tangled in the spool and nothing was printing (I still don't know how that happened) and yes, I did the retract and extract method at first. When nothing happened, I thought it was stuck in the extruder again and that I had to take it apart. Thankfully, like you said, it needed to be heated up.
      3) The short is a demo of what happened the first time.
      But yes, I've learned temp towers are your best friends, and so is heating up the nozzle more than normal and I haven't had that problem since.
      But I thank you for the helpful advice as I feel it is good advice to get good tips and tricks from others who have gone through this. 😊

    Hey on my se it won't load the filament I've tried cleaning the nozzle and replacing it I'm kinda lost in the sauce

    • @JustAnAverageGirl83
      @JustAnAverageGirl83  3 дні тому

      It depends, after a print and I switch out filament, after I retract I set the temp to 243-246 c and use the wire and to push out any excess filament in the heat sink out through the nozzle. I would try that.
      If you can't even feed the wire through the extruder, then somehow there's filament stuck in the passage way of the extruder, and you would need to open up your device to take it out. This is a UA-cam short where I demonstrate that. ua-cam.com/video/sBw3hiEZsco/v-deo.htmlsi=dYh8hyCqnUnElMei
      If it's a brand new filament, I always do a temp tower so I now the right temperature to set it cause if the temp isn't correct, I believe that's how filament gets stuck. After I did that I've haven't had a problem since. Happy printing

    My ender 3v3 se has been a nightmare got it a few months ago it had problems from jump. The first was the screw holes that were on the molding was not attached. Then the screws on the bottom of the upright extrusions wouldnt tighten. Then it was the hotend going bad then the extruder was poorly manufactured now I cannot get it to stay extruding constantly causing failed prints every time. In the meantime I've gotten a used elegoo neptune 3 pro and it has been a champ not one major issue at all it was a used but good machine and ran 10 tines better than creality new machine.

    • @JustAnAverageGirl83
      @JustAnAverageGirl83  2 місяці тому

      Nice, that you have all three. I only have the SE. It may not be your printers, but the g-code itself, a territory I'm afraid I haven't messed with. I know there's an update for the SE, but I never updated it; but I've come across files that were actually the problem and not the printer.
      Also, it's good to do temp towers before you print. If you don't do that already, cause all filaments are not created equal I discovered. So make sure that you've done that.
      Finally, every clog is different. As you can see in the video, mine was a heatend clog because the filament got tangled and got stuck in the heatsink. The last time it was clogged, it was stuck inside the extruder. So monitor that and make sure to clean your nozzles after several prints, as I demonstrated in the video
      So, if you have changed everything for all three devices: brand new heatsink, nozzle, etc, it may be the g-code, which I've said I have not touched that territory.
      I would suggest joining 3D printing groups on Facebook like "3D printing help and troubleshooting", they have been a big help to me and I'm sure there is someone who has solved the gcode problem for your printers. I hope these suggestions guide you closer to a solution best of luck to you.

      @gordonlaurie1201 yes, sometimes I have to remember to do temp towers as well to find the right temperature. I'm still trying to figure out how my filament got tangled in the spool cause that's what really happened. Instead of automatically retracting (which I wish it would do when this happens) it was still trying to go and it got stuck. But I still enjoy this printer. 😊
