- Take the classic strike-producing action and sound of the legendary Jitterbug lip and add the tail-wagging action of a jointed lure and you’ve got action at both ends to attract bass.
The motion of the jointed tail creates a frantic swimming action that provokes bass into striking. The Arbogast Jointed Jitterbug Clicker can be fished slowly to produce the rhythmic plopping sound or quickly to create a more-frantic look.

The sound of this lure is nostalgic to me. I still use them, and everytime i hear it i think about family fishing trips when i was a kid.
You nailed it on the speed of the retrieve. It'svery easy to reel it too fast.
One thing I do is i use a stop and go retrieve. A lot of times they nail it right after it starts moving again. That almost always out does a straight retrieve.
I'm from Brazil. I have the little jitterbug G630 (5,08cm 6,4gr) and I love this lure, It's not famous in my country. I caught wolf fish and tilapias with this lure. I want to record some peacok bass with it too.
Love the jitterbug my favorite top water lure of all time. I love to put it up against those ploppers and see which one comes out on top.
you sugested early on in the video to use a loop knogt ,i asume that would be to get the bestg action out of the lure ,if you downsize the hooks like you also sugested you would also acheive a more free flowing action and still be able to tie to the lure without the loop

I've seen only one of those jointed jitterbugs; it was in a lure lot that I bought on Ebay several years back. It's in my collection now.

Nice video, I love the black jitterbugs reqular, jointed and the 2.0. Always fun and been using these for 60 years along with hula poppers & torpedos. All great time tested top water plugs 👍🎣
One of my favorite lures to use. My father use to use them all the time along with the hula popper...classic baits!!!

Hello from across the pond (UK viewer) I have the green and yellow one in the jointed Jitterbug. I also have a Heddon Baby Torpedo 2.5 in colour Bull Frog, going to try both surface lures tomorrow on my local Damn for Northern Pike, hopefully get a bite.....tight lines man

My father used one and yes I have 1!8 to the Musky size 11/4 oz don't leave without one !!! Just to give you idea my father was 98 when he passed away iam 63 still use one

I found this type of lure about a month ago near a pond and I recently used it with no sucess I think I was reeling in too fast. I will try it again

Start off very slow an you will hear a pop pop pop pop most fun bait to use for bass .
Funny cause I used this lure last night an boom first cast . My son says dad I want to use that pole . I say the pole or the lure lol the pole an lure dad . Lol
