When I took my USFS chainsaw course, they told us the requirement for always wearing a hard hat, even in the clear with nothing over head, is to protect your head from kickback. While the chain brake will have stopped the chain before the bar reaches your head, the momentum from the kicking back bar will still leave you with a headache and a cut if you don't have something covering your noggin.
Wranglestar I have enjoyed your last few videos more than usual. I am getting a few good chuckles each video over the little bits of hidden humor that are interwoven throughout.
I have one of those depth gauges in with all my files. I got it from either my dad or my grandpa and never knew what it was for. I've been doing a lot of thinning and limbing on my property, along with that I've been doing a lot of sharpening my chainsaw. This will come in handy from now on. Thank you. :)
Cody you never fail to keep me entertained and at times laughing my tail off! I love your solution to the cease and desist order!!!!!!! I doubt the company could stop you but this solution is wonderful! Keep up the good work. Long live the Wranglerstar!
You know why these sunglass manufacturers have an issue with him shearing them a cease and desist letter or whatever they are A SNOWFLAKE LEFTIST PC COMPANY THAT HATES REAL MEN. WHO ARE THEY AGAIN SO I CAN SOCIAL MEDIA SLEP THEM
i love the transitions shots, 4:07 you need that 90s transition where you cut the log and when it falls it reveals the next scene, then it zooms in on it
The hard hat in the field is not stupid. It is actually safety when operating a chainsaw. If the kick back comes up far enough and you don't catch the brake it will give you some protection and could save your life. So your instincts to wear it when operating the saw are spot on!
Burr... -7 deezgreez is ccccccccccccccccccold. LOL It's great to hear someone teach VALUE. I think examples of that are priceless and necessary lessons of the sort need to be heard. TY Cody.
What in the world is going on here? I thought you got that awesome Stihl chain sharpening tool that was the best thing in the world. I was totally going to buy one. Is it garbage after all? I'm so confused!
But on a serious note get the best of both worlds you can wear your glasses and the company can't complain. Ps yes I do know there is an edit button but I didn't want this as part of the original comment
I'm with you with the hard hat Cody 👍 it's great to keep that hairpiece warm and in place 😂. Never seen one here in the UK and always fancied one, picked up a Husqvarna one the other day, which is nice ,but not the same. The stump vice is great and I carry one along with a few wedges 👍
Please get back to the shop series of clean up and fixing and doing all the projects! Love the content but enjoyed that series and would like to see more of it!
Check out the "Tilda" vise from Svante Hansson. It is a vise you can make in the woods from a high stump with your saw, using a wedge for clamping the bar. Good option if you don't want to carry a stumpvise. And two simple tips for you, clamp the saw upside down, then the body of the saw won't get in the way when you are sharpening. Also, the dept guages should be filed before the cutting teeth, otherwise the fileguage will dull the working corner on your new sharpened teeth, when you use it. No hate, love your videos, just a friendly tip from Norway.
Chiesel is a a type of cutter it has a square edge that's appears to be what's on your saw then there is a chip chain witch has a round edge and is less agressive then there is low profile witch is a small tooth good for low kick back and very durable the grinds your are referring to for sharpening are either square grind and as you said is less durable but very fast and round grind witch is slower but more robust
I would like to pick up about 5 of those canvas bags was unable to find them there are lot of pouch bags out there but none i could find made out old fire hose a real bummer .
The code is at time stamp 4:29, run the video at 0.25x and you'll just see a snap of it. Pause the video at it and you'll see the code: FFED-NGD3DZ-VAAF It have already been used!!
I really like the toupee you wore in this video. What's the model number so I can get one? I'm also 50, where did you get those cool glasses? I have a hard time reading the type from the video because I'm so old.
Dang. I thought I saw the Amazon Code the first go round, but it was so fast I just couldn't catch it. Had to move from watching on my phone to my laptop and sure enough, right where I thought it was. Good job whoever got it!
I've been running Chainsaws since I was about 14. I B old now. I never had much problem sharpening them, but now, either my eyes, or hands are failing, I tend to get them to cut curves. Is there a device/machine you can recommend that will help me to get the chain sharpened the same on both sides? I really don't want to have to take them to someone who wants my first born or some junk. Love the stuff you present. Thanks.
Hard hat protects you from chainsaw mishaps. If the bar tip jumps you can get one hell of a headache if you get hit from a saw flipping up. Bonus fact: loggers can spray paint aluminum hats which you can then write on to keep your tally. Paint does not adhere to poly hard hats.
That's funny, I have such a habit of putting on my hard hat that I walked in the house with it. My wife looking at me cross eyed??? "You have your helmet on😂🤪. Oops. I gave a hug n kiss and promptly walked out to my work truck and returned my helmet.
I'd recommend you get this stump vise from Oregon - ONLY $16 FREE SHIP amzn.to/2TgZT3G
This guy is mega dad.
All other father's cower in his epic dadness.
Love the info, buying that vise now. I've started Alaskan milling with my ms660. How bout a video there?
Found it but you forgot the last digit
I would like to think the best Chainsaw Accessory , well is the HooMAN using it... kinda useless without that human working it
@@frankmartens2111 What is the last digit?

You protect your gun in a holster, no reason to apologize for protecting those high dollar toupees with a hard hat!
Nice video and a lot of great info. Thanks for sharing !
I’m sad that I didn’t see the stihl 2 in 1 sharpener. Have you changed your mind on it? I still love mine and couldn’t go back to normal method.

All the subtle humor, and not so subtle, of your videos is getting pretty hilarious!
I got lost in the video and forgot to look for the giftcard. Thanks for the hours of entertainment Wranglerstar.
I thought you were gonna say loctite 243 was granddads solution to getting your blood thicker

3-Limber and Slasher, or Faller buncher and processor
4-Log loader

That intro makes me imagine you saying "I'm not a Hero, I just play one on UA-cam." While tipping your hard hat. 😁😁😁
Thanks man!
The comedy in this video is epic. You have a humor level that I love.
lol the beginning. We need a Wranglerstar action figure complete with that little miniature chainsaw.

Of course the hard hat is not a big issue because you obviously switched to the winter toupe.
ffed-ngd3dz-vaaf was the code at 4:29 go in slow motion you’ll see it

The most awesome thing I noticed in this vid is the fact you covered the brand on your "Not for old people" sunglasses!!! EPIC! LOL.
Don't forget the possible protection from a kick back!
Thanks for the videos!

I am wondering if the code is located on the upgrade temples of your hip stylish sunglasses. The green tape is a nice upgrade.
At 4:28 the code is on the log ... It goes by fast though
Nice glasses!

You should maybe try out that new debarker attachment for chainsaws. Looks pretty neat
You've really turned up the sarcasm these last couple of videos Cody, I like it. 👍
