The purpose of this video is to gather as much information about this situation as possible. As a number 1 slipknot fan I dont want people saying publicly on my channel or any other channel than im going to be their drummer or that i should be their drummer. Im not trying to post clickbait videos, im trying to use my channel to explain myself since a lot of people are talkin about myself without really thinking asking me what's going on.

@@thibtrading9072 Yeah same thoughts here. He is a master of technic, dynamics and of adapting songs for his style, no question there, but im not sure about his composing skills

i am sure el estepario could do it fantastic, but the compromise in a band like slipknot is very strong. Estepario has his onw way. No masters no chains he do only what he wants and it would be a difficult transition, but the best things happen in the unconfortable area no? for me it would be a very good new. Estepario deumming on the peak of metal world.
No. This dude does not need to join slipknot. They are under to many contracts. He will lose his freedom. Period.
If Slipknot doesn't give you an interview or audition then they could potentially miss out on an absolutely fantastic opportunity.

Speed isn't everything especially for a band like Slipknot. Yes he has chops and can play but his vibe isn't that of the band nor do I believe that he wouldn't last very long with Corey and Shawn's ego before he gets fed up. I don't think they'll even consider him at all.

@Too_Many_Kittens as a drummer myself, speed like he has doesn't come if you can't play insane chops. Lol, ANYONE that can play fast metal can play pretty much anything man, you don't learn speed without the other stuff first.
@@wastelander6341 speed isn't everything never said he couldn't do the job, just that he's not the right fit. It's more of too many egos in a small environment issue.
I used to tour (in 2000-2002) and worked with Slipknot and Joey personally. They were all really nice especially Joey. I loved watching him play from behind his kit. I agree with all you said. There will always be someone better than you and some that you are better than. Like I tell my Daughter, if you are better than someone, teach, if they are better than you, learn. Thanks for sharing. Love your videos. (I am also a drummer)

I understand where you are coming from but that also depends on what Estepario wants to do going forward with his career. I honestly feel that it would add to his overall success. Everyone has a different opinion of course but to me, playing on tour with one of your favorite bands doesn’t hurt your path. Either way the band hasn’t even announced who they are choosing since this is still fresh.
It's not a band anymore, just a brand - feels like they've gone to the Gene Simmons school of firing members to pay replacements less.
Awesome to hear well-grounded comments from a great player - who is also able to exhibit a healthy dose of humility. Hats off to you, sir!
I just started drumming last week, and you are officially my role model. Thanks for the awesome humility and one of a kind talent.
My advice: keep it light. Best advice I was ever given as a drummer- keep it light. Use your wrists. Practice with a pad, practice your grip and use whatever feels right- but keep it light!! Hitting the drums as hard as possible might work for some music but, in general, the lighter you play, the faster you get- hold the sticks lightly in your hands, roll it around, get the feel of different grips. You can drum without really moving your arms when using your wrists. Hold the stick loosely between your pointer finger and thumb and play- it’s all about dynamics. Also, do your own thing! Take all your inspirations and fav drum styles, mix them up and try something different. Don’t let anyone tell you how to do something a different way if it feels right to you or if it’s part of your flow. Don’t listen to anything but that beat- and follow it. :) there may be no universally right or wrong way but there IS a better way.

You are the definition of humble my guy. I've been playing and listening to metal for 20+ years. You would be an amazing fit. I'm not gonna lie, when the rumor mill started, I got super excited at the concept of you touring with Slipknot. I've seen a LOT of drummers. You are easily one of the best out there. Sure, maybe not "The Best", but I don't think there is a best. Definitely among the top drummers in the world though man. I have seen you take a song that is already amazing, add your own spin somehow making it better and adding more groove, all while doing it one handed and smoking. Practice is great, but some people just have raw talent. You my friend got way more than your fair share of it.

Any band would be lucky to have a drummer with both your high skill/talent level and your humility. It's a rare combination and we would all support you wherever/whenever you land, even if you just continue with your current formula.
My brotha, your humility should be an inspiration to every person who watches you play. There is ALWAYS mor for us to learn, and you only become a GOAT ya know in time lol. You are one of the most gifted drummers I've seen, in many many areas of music, and you deserve a lot of the recognition you get, but you also bust your ever loving ass working for that recognition, and that means, you deserve respect as well. You know yourself. If you don't think you're ready for something like that, then you aren't. However, I am willing to bet money, you have had a video or two played, when these guys are sitting around wondering who they should approach. I can about promise you, you've at least gotten a mention. While humility is good, don't let it keep you from dreaming my guy.

You are one of the best percussionist I've seen this past 10 years; I feel kind of justified in saying this because I've been playing most of my life, now at 71 I still play and perform every week in public. You do what makes you happy, shoot for big and play the kind of music and style that keeps you happy, creative, and alive. I love to watch your speed your tightness and most of all your attitude. A REAL percussionist can read. El Estepario Siberiano fills a different niche. What he does can't be touched and is in a class by himself for that particular "style".

This is likely my favorite video put out by this guy. Normally we see him showing his mad skills and what not, but this shows how genuine and sincere and humble he is as a person. Love it. And if he gets a gig being their new drummer,fantastic . If not then oh well it looks like he’s doing great now. Precisamente ayer tuvo lugar el Tamtam drumfest en sevilla. Se homenajeó a Aaron desde el primer momento y pudimos disfrutar de la actuacion de Eloy Casagrande y conocerlo en persona. Es super humilde y agradecido y una p*ta maquina!!
Tambien pudimos disfrutar y conocer al grandísimo Eric Moore, el cual tambien hizo su pequeño gran homenaje a Aaron Spears. Fué fantastico!!

Bro, i dont think you take yourself serious enough. My dad was a drummer and I gravitated towards guitar. Even though he played for years he plateaued early because he didnt put in the effort you do. Slipknot has been a staple in my family for quite a while, but you are excellent. Whenever I think of the best drummers I have ever seen, you definitely come up. You are as good at drums as victor wooten is at bass. Your effort and drive define you, and im here for the journey! Out of all drummers I have ever heard of (31 years old) you stand out by a long shot! Keep goin man, if its not slipknot any band would be lucky to have you. I watched the vid about your band and I know you will do great man. Thank you for using the knowledge of the size of your audience to a positive end result by showing that life does NOT live on social media! If they made an announcement in public it was ABSOLUTELY met with a thorough amount of soul searching in private by the band. It doesn't matter how we THINK that they handled this, what matters is that we trust they handled the situation with consideration and care towards a fellow bandmate - and not assuming that they just treated him like garbage. Kudos, I'm pretty sure EVERYONE liked that, even if they aren't happy to admit it 🤙🏼

I agree bro!!! When I first heard the bloody roots album I nearly shit my pants listening to the intensity of his fills and limitless energy shook me to the core. That being said you’re also an amazing drummer and watching your videos also nearly made me cry from your effortless skill, not to mention you playing slipknot with one fucking hand!? 😱 Anyway, I won’t brag about your skill anymore because you seem like a humble gentleman and I respect that someone so talented can be so humble. Jay Weinberg is a awesome drummer and did a amazing job . But if you start drumming for slipknot the band would sound a lot like it was designed to sound when Joey was around . Rip Joey 🤘🫀🤘

No te digo que te presentes (no hay huevos!) pero te imagino haciendo redobles a una mano con ambas manos y tocando el bombo con el triple pedal y me descojono. Estaría bien que probaras ese cacharro haciendo alguna chorrada de esas.
I'd listen to Slipknot again if you were on drums. I miss Joey and Paul and haven't enjoyed what Slipknot has released since. I enjoy what you do and would to see you take up that role.

Same here, almost exactly. I just haven’t performed for about 10 years. Have a family and a day job, makes it ALMOST impossible to find time or energy, especially with young kids who have so much of it. But, it’s only almost impossible. This man has also inspired me to want to do more again-though it’s hard to call oneself a musician next to El E.S!
Amazing to hear El Estepario refering to other drummers as some of his favorites when I doubt anyone else can do what El Estapario does! Dude he is fucking amazing but all he’s got is speed he’s not the best drummer in the world he’s an amazing drummer but what he does most professional metal drummers can do. Dave Lombardo, Danny Carey could easily do what he does and they are a lot better than him.
@@joe_w_2895 Actually I don't know Carey, but Lombardo really is the craziest drummer (that i know of) on earth. Even when he had to fill in for Metallica on Battery he delivered like Lars never did, he is insanely fast and accurate but with a sense of Rhytm. I know most love "Angel of Death" or "Raining Blood" but "War Ensemble"is to me one of the craziest drum performances ever

@@joe_w_2895Danny Carey is excellent, but for his creativity and composition, not necessarily his chops. I doubt he can drum as fast as EES, though. Matt Garstka, Travis Orbin? Yeah they can do everything EES can do and more.

Wow! Yes. I recently saw Sepultura and it was arguably the best live performance i have ever seen. They did not miss a single beat. In fact, they were better live than any recording of them. Eloy was simply phenomenal. Period.
i also saw sepultura recently, eloy threw his drum stick and i got it but someone stole it from me which was upsetting

You have the drive, professionalism, and more importantly....technique, that Slipknot requires. You got my vote. Without a good drummer, which is the backbone of any band, the band wont prosper. And, imho, youre the best. Easy choice, bruv.
