@@khineness_352 I ended up buying a Norgagi from Akashi Kama after seeing this comment. The quality is decent and their products run TTS. The only thing I wish is that their material was thicker/heaver so it's better for year round wear here in the PNW.
Japanese fashion stands out cause of the variety , cuts materials fabrics ect coupled with individual creativity and an introverted polite culture , everyone don't wear the same things the same way.
Love, love, love this list. One thing I love is that it's truly non-gendered fashion, which is def my style. Also, if you go to Japan or shop available websites, most of these things are not hard to find. And thirdly, for some of these I can do a thrift flip and/or sew it myself and get a similar effect. Though I have to say, I've tried a few times to make patchwork clothing myself and it always ends up looking stupid. Japanese fashion makes it look so easy, but it isn't--that's the beauty of it. Speaking of patchwork, have you heard of Glamdy? That was a brand I used to love, but I guess it was one of those that didn't last long--a common phenomenon you mentioned in a previous video. Maybe it does still exist...?
Just happened across this channel today and glad I did! Japanese fashion for men has interested me for many years! Coming up as a pup in NYC the influence could be seen occasionally. I will add my voice to those who have commented on where to get these styles, and sized for a larger western man. Thanks for the content!
I predicted these tank t-shirts since the eighties. At one point it was done then forgot about but i would also like to see the longer layering type of tank t-shirts in a nice luxurious polished cotton and silk. This video was on point.
ON FIRE! These styles are everything I'm targeting for my brand but with a Southeast Asian/contemporary twist. I just created a dope modern kimono which I'll be launching very soon on my label.
i also noticed they like wearing big rubbery platform shoes, platform shoes in general but, that’s made a huge comeback in the west. Mikiosakabe sells these type of shoes.
Had to do a double take because I thought Reggie had quarantine afro going on. Also I really love the drape silhouettes. Need more clothes like that in America
Love the way noragi looks and fits.. Its so hard to find noragi in Canada that's affordable. My collection is getting bigger slowly but surely. Great work my guy 👊🏼 as always.
As always, thank you for always spreading the word, sharing your wisdoms, and keeping it casual, Reggie! I've gained so much knowledge and appreciation for personal fashion watching your channel over the last few years :)
Patchwork and Paisleys were already up and about in Japan eversince, now the west is joining the badwagon. :) I've always loved patchwork designs bu Junya Watanabe!!!
So glad I found this channel! Hits all my interests-fashion, marketing and Japan! Host is super clear in his delivery, too. 🔥 Looking forward to watching future vids! (while I check out the rest)
My problem with many of these pieces is that it doesn't quite fit well on the bigger guys. I'm a XL but I like my stuff to have a loose fit. So I often end up buying XXL. In Japan the clothing very often is based on Asian sizes.
Since most of the Japanese fashion essentials are hard to come by, you can try to tailor your own pieces. They are not that complicated, since most of them have a wide cut and if it's not working out, you can still wear them as distressed or patchwork pieces ;)
How about do an episode on Japanese bags? I find more variety of totes, duffles and slings in Japan than here in N.America. Different shapes, cuts, materials. If you have time, add wallets, change pouches, dopp kits, and keychains. Keep up the good work.
When you are one of those people who have no idea how to dress fashionably.... I still dress in a t-shirt and shorts for mobility for when I need to run away. LOL. I really need someone to help me get my fashion together.

japan fashion is soooo way ahead and yet not super overprice even for a simple fashion!

I visited Japan for the first time on New Year’s Eve 2019 and went home with not one, but two kimonos. Yeah dope as hell.
Did you have to go one or 2 sizes up?
@@SMVSMVSMV just one size for one and two for another.
Shoutouts to Akashi Kama here in the US for noragi/kimono inspired pieces
I appreciate you for commenting this. I’ve been looking for something new besides prospective flow
I was about to mention them. Legit pieces 👌🏾
also dope they are based out of the Bay Area, California. Where i was born and raised from
Was introduced to this brand as well, seems super cool and thinking about getting a noragi as well!

Could this possibly be a business venture for those that like the style? :-)
Just found your channel, LOVE IT! Such knowledge and great content and well made videos!
Anything in indigo. It’s a blue that transcends ’blue’.
Live in the US and got me the Sashiko a few weeks back and still contemplating outfits to get or wear in the spring with them.
I couldn't find Antiqua ... i need those !!!
Given that I've discovered Japanese fashion, this is a great primer!
