    I visited Japan for the first time on New Year’s Eve 2019 and went home with not one, but two kimonos. Yeah dope as hell.

      @@khineness_352 I ended up buying a Norgagi from Akashi Kama after seeing this comment. The quality is decent and their products run TTS. The only thing I wish is that their material was thicker/heaver so it's better for year round wear here in the PNW.

    Japanese fashion stands out cause of the variety , cuts materials fabrics ect coupled with individual creativity and an introverted polite culture , everyone don't wear the same things the same way.

    Love, love, love this list. One thing I love is that it's truly non-gendered fashion, which is def my style. Also, if you go to Japan or shop available websites, most of these things are not hard to find. And thirdly, for some of these I can do a thrift flip and/or sew it myself and get a similar effect. Though I have to say, I've tried a few times to make patchwork clothing myself and it always ends up looking stupid. Japanese fashion makes it look so easy, but it isn't--that's the beauty of it. Speaking of patchwork, have you heard of Glamdy? That was a brand I used to love, but I guess it was one of those that didn't last long--a common phenomenon you mentioned in a previous video. Maybe it does still exist...?

    Just happened across this channel today and glad I did! Japanese fashion for men has interested me for many years! Coming up as a pup in NYC the influence could be seen occasionally.     I predicted these tank t-shirts since the eighties. At one point it was done then forgot about but i would also like to see the longer layering type of tank t-shirts in a nice luxurious polished cotton and silk. This video was on point.

    i also noticed they like wearing big rubbery platform shoes, platform shoes in general but, that’s made a huge comeback in the west. Mikiosakabe sells these type of shoes.

    My problem with many of these pieces is that it doesn't quite fit well on the bigger guys.
    I'm a XL but I like my stuff to have a loose fit. So I often end up buying XXL. In Japan the clothing very often is based on Asian sizes.

    Since most of the Japanese fashion essentials are hard to come by, you can try to tailor your own pieces. They are not that complicated, since most of them have a wide cut and if it's not working out, you can still wear them as distressed or patchwork pieces ;)

    How about do an episode on Japanese bags? I find more variety of totes, duffles and slings in Japan than here in N.America. Different shapes, cuts, materials. If you have time, add wallets, change pouches, dopp kits, and keychains. Keep up the good work.
