    Another Excellent AAR. Loving the CoC up mud and the Blood WWI content.

      I do try my best to please! I would like to do more in future, but there are a few games of O Group that is on my current future output, but I'll try and squeeze more FWW stuff in as well. Also, check out the Square Bashing Videos if you haven't seen them yet, there's also a couple of military history FWW videos on the channel in the Military History playlist.

    Just watched your very excellent AAR, of your coc ww1, (you seem to enjoy the game yourself) which I can says was so exciting👍😄 once again very informative and interesting to see that the rules can cover different periods👍 your game set up for the lardies should be a success ( would like to watch, can you send a link, if live) once again great report and keep rolling them dice🤓

      Cheers Kevin, this was recorded quite a while ago and Virtual lard is over, but I recorded it and the link is here: ua-cam.com/video/20qjIeHXW0Y/v-deo.html Looking at the comments, it seems you've already watched it though...

    If you don't mind me asking, what scale are the miniatures/tanks & where are they from???

    • @StormofSteelWargaming
      @StormofSteelWargaming  2 роки тому +2

      They are all 15mm and mostly from Peter Pig.

      @@StormofSteelWargaming Thanks for the reply 👍 I'm looking for 28mm. Alas Wargames Atlantic currently only have French & German WW1 - The Great War box sets, no British. Unless you know who's stocking British & the right scale tanks.

    Great video, but a couple of points to note.
    At 35:50 you rolled for your rifle grenadiers. I froze the action to count dice. There were very clearly two ones, and when you’d removed the misses, the two hits were revealed to both be fives. That would be two ones and zero sixes. According to page 16 of the rules, rolling two more ones than sixes makes your Grenadiers short of ammo, and they would be limited to only one further salvo, after which they’d revert to fighting as regular riflemen.
    By my count, you fired them 3 more times: at 37:52 (legally), at 49:20 (illegally), and at 54:18 (illegally) The two illegal shoots caused two kills and four shock, which shouldn’t have happened. Further, page 16 also states that in the first turn that rifle grenadiers fire at any target, they only roll half the total number of dice to represent them getting the range, so in the shoots at 35:50 and 49:20 you rolled twice the number of dice that you ought.
    Great game, but you want to be careful of those rifle grenadier rules, they’re quirky, and missing them can allow the rifle grenades to become much too powerful, thus unbalancing the game.
    I do hope I have come across as excessively harsh, that was certainly not my intent.

      Cheers James, glad you enjoyed the video, thanks for pointing out the rules mistakes. It was my second game using the FWW variant, so I was bound to miss various things. I'll remember for next time I play.
