  • This is a guide for EvolverFX, an AUv3 plugin for iOS. This is the first in a series of videos intended to help teach how to program the Evolver plugin and create your own Performances. It covers most of the basic steps needed to get you up and running, but please take a look at the Evolver introduction video first to get some basic idea of how the plugin performs.

    Amazing. This is a great companion to chord generating apps such as Progressions, ChordBud, Tonality and others. Just spin up AUM, load your chord progression app, MIDI send to EvolverFX and you have an instant song. To be honest I was initially intimidated by "programming" this, but by watching this series, I've discovered it's not really that hard and well worth the investment in time. 👍

      I think Evolver was one of my greatest creations, but unfortunately with its complexity it is hard to fully understand for some. It's a little like FM synthesis! This app was created while I waited 7 months for my Korg WaveState to arrive, and is really my interpretation of how I thought it would work based on peoples demos.

    This is a simple tutorial based at trying to encourage those who are not really into programming their own presets. More in depth tutorials will follow. My apologies in advance for Googles poor sound conversion.

    Looks a killer app Paul, great for building up atmospheric pieces. I recently brought Plugin Guru Unify on desktop to create multi instruments. Now you give me the option on a iPad.

    I'm about two fifths of the way though this, first one I've seen of yours, came via Ab forum thread. Very informative, like the relaxed style, enjoying the pace. Learning a lot. Thanks for this.

    I so want to start creating patches for evolver Fx but not sure if I can create /edit the multi sample within the application

    • @PaultheMusicMan
      @PaultheMusicMan  4 роки тому +2

      Hey Issie, if your talking muilti-samples and not just plain samples that you import then the options are limited to changing filtering and ADSR etc. Essentially the multi-samples shipped with Evolver were created in Chameleon, so you could do the multi-sample editing in their and just build your patch of them. If you can make do with just samples then yes, the 'Edit Sample' button allows you to change start, loop points and tuning etc.

    Quick question any multi presets I make in Chameleon will I be able to use them in Evolver ?

    • @PaultheMusicMan
      @PaultheMusicMan  4 роки тому +1

      Yes, they will... plus you can import them directly if you wish or access them remotely.

      I thought this too a long time ago, but if you watch a few it may get easier - they are deep but very thorough. I would also recommend others including SoundForMore Tutorials, Sound Test Room and Gavinski's Tutorials.
