TY bro I was kind of hesitant, now I know 👌 going for the critical combination.
Another good review, both options look great , nearly reached the 1000 mark 👍
Thank you 🙏
Thanks for everything you do man, really appreciate your information! You should do a cartridge comparison, there’s some here on UA-cam but most are old and with all these new brands coming out everyday it would be fantastic. Btw which brand do you use? I heard really good things about electrum gold standard ones 👍🏻
We have touched briefly on needles in a video but can certainly do more of an in-depth video.
Myself (chris) inside vertix needles, tatsoul gen2 and Cheyenne carts.
Love my unlimited 4.0
I hear a lot of people are preferring that to the 3.5
Can you use the power aupply with thw hawk pen?
Alright I’m getting the battery it’s official.
Is the critical battery compatible with standard hawk pen? 😀
Stigma is also releasing some wireless battery packs as well, do you think i should buy the critical one for my stigma thorn or wait for stigma to release theirs ?
I haven’t seen those yet. I’ve used the fkirons one and the critical so far. There are pros and cons for both but I think ultimately it’s down to personal choice. I would suggest read the specs on both of them and see which one best suits your needs.
May be you could do some research on acus M1 wireless tattoo machine comes with changeable cams from 3 3.7 and 4.5 cams around the same price but the features are good.
Already done and reviewed the machine a while back
I just bought a Sol Terra as I’ve found out I like rotary’s better than pens at the moment. And l invested in the Terra because the Sol grips are EVER SO SLIGHTLY LONGER than your usual grips like the FKIrons click ergo grips, ect. And so it fits in your hand similar to a pen. Also with it being short/lightweight I went ahead and instead of grabbing a stupid expensive Cheyenne power supply, I bought a Critical Shorty Battery as my power supply for it. I will eventually grab another shorty battery or a footless power supply but I feel like the sol Terra size matched with the shorty battery is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! Sorry for my rant lol
I wouldn’t say that was a rant lol. Just sharing your opinion. Totally get what you are saying though.
Got the critical to use with sol nova and I've seen lots of people saying there's a click when it's in but it's not happening with mine. Does yours click in?
When I push it down it does click yes.
Is it still well balanced with Critical?
What battery would you recommend for the hwak thunder ?
At the moment the only battery I’ve used that works for Cheyenne is critical. If you check our in-depth review on the critical battery we go through what it’s like using it with the Cheyenne spirit etc
will the battery pack work w the Cheyenne hawk pen?
Original hawk pen and the sol nova it does fit.
It doesn’t fit the unio.
Is there a battery pack that works with the Chyenne unio ?
The Cheyenne unio is not meant to work with a battery pack. The motor requires more power consumption than something like the unlimited as it has a brushed motor. So if you were to use a battery the. You would probably get 2 hours max off a full charge. They also made the jack protector a bit longer so a critical batter will not fit on there.
I would love to see a review on the bishop wand 3.5 compared to the sol nova 3.5
we would love to review the bishop and see how it compare also.
Myself and another artist in my shop have been experiencing problems with the critical batteries failing to click in over time. As of a few days ago, it does not work for me anymore.
I’ll pass this on to critical.
i agree. i just bought a critical battery for my sol nova last year, it worked for few weeks, then stopped working so i sent it back and they changed it but after less than 5mos it is having problems again. it is becoming loose, it needs to be pressed harder for it to work. so i have to wrap it to the body like a jacket hood otherwise it's unusable. thinking of returning it again and just get the refund instead and try and wait for other products.
Cheyene Unlimited 4.0 or spektra flux . Can u help me ?
It all depends what you want. Both machines are well made. We prefer the voltage control on the flux over the gesture control unlimited
The batteries are cheaper on the Cheyenne, but if the power unit breaks in that machine the repair cost could be quite high. Where as the flux is just a case of buying a new power bolt, also the new exo machine which is the flux with a different grip will have the rca module.
There are pros and cons to both machines, for us as a channel we prefer the flux.
if you then had to choose between sol nova with critical power pack or spectra flux
Flux every time.
@@ThatTattooShow also think it will be the machine I end up buying because I want a new machine, but just wait and see what you thought of the new force when it comes out
I like foot pedals
Absolutely no! I love the Sol Nova 4.0 unlimited I still have my 3.5 original sol nova and I have the critical battery with the Cheyenne connection and I love this combo and I got to tell u both are amazing why not get both? You tattoo even if your tattoing at a shop for 60%, u can afford it
It’s not a price thing for me. It’s the issue of if the power unit breaks in the sol unlimited then the machines redundant and needs to be repaired. I’d love to see a more modular version of the unlimited.
@@ThatTattooShow fuck I never thought of that ur right and for 1000 plus machine the fk irons and force are ahead if the game but I just prefer sol novas feel with a disposable grip and I don't think the flux has disposables or the Force
That’s why I think the standard sol nova and a critical battery is a slightly better option. If the batter breaks you can still use the machine. I’m going to be giving the stigma another test drive next week see if I can get on with the battery.
If u choose critical power supply u still need to purchase sol nova 😂🤣 if u/we love using a Cheyenne machine no have reason to chose critical+sol nova over solnova unlimited, and u have a removable battery on solnova unlimited this is big big plus
I think you missed the point of this video really 😂😂. If you own the sol nova then buying the critical is the cheaper option. But ultimately it’s down to personal preference there’s pros and cons for both which we go over in the video.
@@ThatTattooShow yes I agree about if already owned the sol nova but if not, sure 💯 going for solnova unlimited,, i think critical battery will be better on the sol terra/luna 🤔
There’s pros and cons for both really. But after using the unlimited and the sol nova and critical I personally prefer the critical option just for ease of mind. I know if my battery goes I can still plug it into a power supply. That being said personally prefer the flux over both options.

I can tell through your face that you don’t like Cheyenne ☹️
Haha that’s such a random comment. I use Cheyenne products daily as part of my set up and have done since they released the Cheyenne spirit.
