Beetronics made love letter to Brazils home grown 'tropicalia' psychedelic scene called "Abelha". Which of course is Portuguese for "BEE", did I pronounce it right? Probably not.

Tropicalia was one of the first genres of brazillian music to actually use pedals, but because at that time Brazil was passing by a Civic-Military Dictatorship, the musicians had to get pedals by one of two ways, or contraband or making the pedal themselves with eletronic junk and scrap metal...
The band Mutantes was one of the first bands to use fuzz in tropicalia, this fuzz was actually a fusion of some organ preamp chips and it was made by the brother of one of the guitar players...
Thanks for the info, now i discovered "Os Mutantes" music, i'm really surprised i'm from southamerica and never heard about them. They spund really psychodelich and good, guessing they are from the 70's. Tropicalia seems like an interesnting genre.

Os Mutantes are absolutely amazing, especially their first self-titled album.
Beetronics is masterclass in creating eye catching pedals.
I'm Team Pollen. Any fuzz that nails the spitty rasp of "l'm Gonna Make You Mine" by the Shadows of Knight and "Try lt" by the Standells should be placed upon the Altar Of Garage and worshipped.
Beetronix should do a collab with the melvins and call it the honey bucket.

Ryan saves us from having to read titles: Goldie JagStang in thumb means an octave fuzz is goin down. Did not disappoint. Beetronics makes the best octave fuzzes I don’t own already. That may change after this vid.
What I like about your reviews over everyone else is that you do the same thing i do when getting a new pedal: mess around for a half hour and just have fun with it.

Very cool fuzz. I like the demos of the "pricier" pedals sometimes since they usually are more unique, consistent quality, and aren't made in bulk in Pedal Factory #12.

Buzzing!!! Great sounding Fuzz, Beetronics are outstanding, they always have an excellent cross-section of different effected tones. I’ve never heard a Beetronics pedal that sounded poor.

Very true. If the Companion had mid, treble, and bass knobs instead of switches, you could dial in more range. Still love it, though.
I think I place all the blame for my fuzz addiction on Ryan. I won’t stop until I have all the fuzz
I watch a bunch of other reviews and they demo every feature and I think it sounds decent, but not sure how I'd use it. Ryan twirls knobs or just dimes the thing and instantly I know exactly how I'd use it. Now I just have to decide which custom color I'd want...

Weird, I’m quite sure that I saw Henning review it months ago, maybe he did a mistake and released the review to early.
None the less, this sounds to be a really versatile Fuzz, even the Tropical mode can prove to be really usefull with amps that drown the regular side.
How is the noisefloor holding up?

I use and abuse the Vezzpa; how much overlap does this pedal have with it?
it´s very distinct! With abelha you can clean up, you have the gain amoint control and treble and bass tones. it is not gated like vezzpa...I think they could be great partners!

It is, but it’s on a separate face plate, not the case. Sometimes they put cutouts and sculpted edges so the color of the case underneath shows through.
That first chord on the Pollen was so fat and spitty it was almost flatulent.
