Katelyn Tuohy has guts, courage and determination but above all she has humility, grace and respect. The way she went straight over to Kelsey at the finish to congratulate her, just shows the love and friendship they have for each other. Laurie Henes has built an amazing team with amazing team spirit. Go the Wolfpack
Thanks for posting this. I happen to have a subscription and can watch it at will, but it's a pain. This is a great and uplifting race and should have appeared on YT months ago. Better late than never.
Thanks soooo much for posting this! I have watched most all of the Wolfpack races that I could find on UA-cam multiple times but I’ve never seen this one!
Cool, thx happy camper on status of our fav runner/s being kind, whadda great start, there's nothing like it 🍺[adding good comment'ry & data listing all runners, it matters👍

Good day, seen vedio, wow Amazing and beautiful and very great runner and Katelyn Tuohy ser so fast of x-c running college N.C. state and season,s Greetings K.I.T. good Luck each running couse,s &team wow 👌 👏 Good day.okay 👍
She raced at USA's this summer and had a great showing for a soph in college (7th). She's not yet at the level of Monson or Cranny and didn't qualify for worlds, but I think she was injured and wasn't peaking for it. Regardless, she won xc last year and set a new ncaa national mile record indoor, so I think she's doing alright.
She was an enigma to me. She ran very well at the Joe Piane and at Regionals, and actually had a decent place in this race (23rd). If she had run as well at nationals as she did in this race, she would have probably finished in the 30-40th range. She was sick and not feeling well at the ACC Championships, and did not run well. Then at nationals she obviously did not run her best race. This is just my guess/speculation, but it seems that she struggled a bit on more hilly courses, such as Stillwater.
I was curious. At the end of this race, when Kelsey saw Sam Bush come across the finish line, Kelsey went over to congratulate her, and then Katelyn Tuohy did too. As soon as Katelyn congratulated Sam, she turned her back on Katelyn until Katelyn left. It appears as though Sam was mad at Katelyn. Does anyone know why?
The reality is the distance is arbitrary. Over the years the standard distance has changed. Since 2000 the standard for women has been 6k. Since 1976 the men’s race has been 10k.
I could do close to that back in HS (3 miles in 20min) and I wasn’t that good which explains exactly why men should not compete with women even trans. These are the elite college women But the huge tight pack is so hard to run in.
I see why Tuohy's coach noticed her stride. I can recognize her in a bunch by her stride alone. Is it that the side-to-side separation of her footprints exactly matches the separation of her hip joints. I have noticed many women in walking reduce this separation to zero. Their footprints are in line. This makes their hips roll so men can drool, but is no good for running.
Bush ran at the front early in this race, and faced a little over the last half. In the next race at ACC Championships, Coach Henes mentioned after the race that Bush "switched up strategy and it worked out well for her". In that race, she hung back through the early part of the race, and then closed hard and finished 5th. She had the same strategy at nationals, and passed a TON of people in the last 1k of the race, finishing 15th.
Yes. Touhy won this race and the NCAA Cross Country Championship in 2022. Parker Valby won both races in 2023. The 2024 Nuttycombe will be in September.
Katelyn Tuohy bravo petite gazelle je suis en admiration j'ai l'impression que vous vous promenez et hop un petit coup d'accélérateur au final pour terminer!
I think it’s terrible that these event organizers use gasoline engine karts!! The noise pollution interferes with the people calling the race, BUT especially they are polluting this environment with gasoline engine exhaust that these runners have to inhale and breathe. So easy to use silent electric golf carts. GET WITH IT!!!
So many promising runners! But only a few have had crucial breathing training, it’s the secret to long distance running and Americans just don’t learn it
Questa si che è resistenza e che falcata impressionant.chi cerca a tutti i costi di andargli dietro si sposta e fa una brutta gara. Bravissima katlen.

And it's her teammate who is going out and talking to the other runners. That's called sportsmanship, Good race everyone!
Tuohy is a great runner, but she sure has the best promoters behind her. Since she was 12 she's been at the forefront on You Tube.
A left-handed compliment, I think?

Amazing running, 5:30 mile pace on grassy hills! 2022, but nice to see.
goodness gracious, she makes it look so fluid and easy
Seeing so many runners with the same color shoes is cool
which shoe is it?
@@biedawoNike dragonflies
She doesn't even look out of breath .will be interesting to see how she progresses at world international level
Most wholesome finish ever.
New Mexico State did really good. Made it really darn close
Different school. Just like NC State and North Carolina are different schools. This is the University of New Mexico.

I love Katelyn.
y'all using dial-up?
it's crazy to see that many yellow dragonfly spikes
She controlled the whole thing, she was jogging the first part of the race, someone with that much talent, she way toying with the field
Turned off sound near the start. Enjoyed the race!
this is a long time ago - she isnt racing track and field in the summer? no pro races yet on track...?

UA-cam says it's HD but it looks like 240P at the beginning
Do you by chance have the Norte Dame Invitational Race?
Well done turbo tuohy the little pocket rocket
Many were hoping for a top three finish of Seymour Tuohy Bush.
Video quality is very poor for such a prestigious college cc event.
Also consider drone use used a lot in cyclocross perfect here in 4k, able to expand the visual interest to a broader audience a reaction.
touchy has gears the other dont have she is very hars to beat
This is the race where you found out that Seymour wasn't gonna make a big difference for NCS. Big fade at 18:00 ish

I thought she left and went to TN or something... but I know nothing
Кэтлин, как всегда, красотка на высоте! Бежит - загляденье! Кельсей тоже умница!
And the official takes centre stage, what's with the standing in the middle of the course nonsense
Will power is the fuel to victory.
Saludos y preguntando por qué ella no fué a las Olimpiadas este año en Paris.
Tuohy inspires me lace up my running shoes and get out that door.

Yes I notice that in a couple of other races with other teammates and also wonder why. Possibly a result of coach favoritism IDK?
Inspiring!
Great Irish name Tuohy Munster name.☘🍀☘
why do they have a 6k not a 5k? weird.

@@fsinjin60this is just under 4 miles. Not 3
@@SpaghettiRuin More like 3.6. so closer to 4 than 3. My point was I was just an average boy.

I hope those 4 wheeled vehicles are electric and not spewing exhaust fumes in the runner's faces.
Нам в России тоже нужно ввести эти забеги, полей то много пустует!))
Samantha Bush though!

I was worried with the tall girl who was tripping people in previous races. How many got tripped in this race?
Which girl is it?
Why can't they afford a decent camera to film this?
2022?
Yes. Touhy won this race and the NCAA Cross Country Championship in 2022. Parker Valby won both races in 2023. The 2024 Nuttycombe will be in September.
I thought american are imperial not metric.
Not for running sports. The US has used metric distances for decades.
