The best hollow bass I've ever heard had a piezo in a mute in the bridge. That guy is probably right about his bass having the best upright-style sound

No amps in the booth. Maybe another time when we see Marek. We always try to bump into him when we know he’s going to be there. He’s a wonderful man!
I have been playing bass for 30 yrs...I couldn't take one of these and gig 4 nights a week!!!...just get you a good American G&L, MusicMan, or Fender. Thats the sound.

How come these guys don't actually play any of them? What kind of strings are the colored ones? Are they nylon?
Not really an amp nearby in the boutique booth. Next year I might try to with the success of this video. The namm show isn’t super lending itself to playing them and you being able to hear them.

You’d have to ask Marek. I assumed they were DR’s or something. I have a coated rainbow set on one of the UA-cam studio basses.
Thkse are Aurora strings. Enamel coated - my personal favourites even for fretless
