- Videos from my Operations Series feature less talk and more trains! Each new episode features improvements to the layout as its construction progresses, all while trains run operations, which is the whole purpose of the layout!
This episode features main line operations out of both sides of the Wichita yard. It also features the Royal Gorge Railway excursion train for the first time as well as a main line train out of Tennessee Pass. No switching today...just trains, trains and more trains!

Nice my dream layout is from Canon City to Minturn.....planned it all out on Anyrail6 using Google maps during a Covid lockdown LOL.. it would need a space (workshop/shed) 30m x 20m and uses only one Helix to get back down at the end. It was purely a bit of fun but got carried away in the end trying to make the different yards like Canon City, Minturn and Salida reasonably accurate.. Just need 2 win lotto so I can build it...
It's always good to dream! I would do the Durango Silverton line,,,but hire someone to do all that scenery! Oh...and in one of the gauges where you can actually ride the train!

That was a great ops. All of your motive power looked great and ran well. Did you finish that Faller kit yet? Lol.
Thank you! I finished the first page...of 32 pages...does that count? LOL To be fair, since I told everyone that I was going to work on those other kits as well, I haven't been focusing 100% of my time on the Faller kit. Maybe 40% though.
If you look at 5:16 it appears that you have a bad switch that could derail your trains.
Good eye! Yes, there is definitely some kind of issue at that turnout that I didn't notice until I watched this video. The strange thing is that it wasn't consistent between the two locos or the trailing cars so I will have perform a closer inspection of any flange clearance issues. Several of my Micro Engineering turnout frogs do have some burrs in the frogs that need to be sanded down however, and although they don't really cause any derailments, they do make the locos hop from time to time. Thanks!
