Kansas & Western HO Model Railroad Operations, Episode 11 - Local run to Portland Cement

Videos from my Operations Series feature less talk and more trains! Each new episode features improvements to the layout as its construction progresses, all while trains run operations, which is the whole purpose of the layout!
This episode features a local run from La Junta Yard to Portland Cement outside of Canon City with a delivery of empty hoppers for the plant. The crew will pull a cut of cars loaded with cement for the return trip to La Junta Yard.

From HO cork down to flat sure makes a big difference on the final product 😊

It certainly does. I used to think the difference looked pretty extreme for short distances on the layout until I saw several real-world examples that were pretty much the same at scale. It will look much better once I get it ballasted.
