You've incorporated everything they wanted EXCEPT THE CAKE TOPPER THAT THEY SPECIFICALLY WANTED! More about showing off your talents for a television show than honouring what the couple specifically wanted on top of their WEDDING cake!
Sonia : Agreed! I do cakes myself and always make sure that what ever the customer wants incorporated IS on or in the cake! That cake designer is disgusting!!!
How are you doing @Sonia?
"Hopefully I've incorporated everything they wanted" *Doesn't include the handmade commissioned topper.*
I can't roll my eyes hard enough.
If I were to roll my eyes right now they would fall out my head
How are you doing @Elizabeth Butta?
Can't believe she didn't use the beautiful topper! It was specially commissioned!
'I hope I've incorporated everything they wanted'.... except for... you know.. the only thing they wanted on their cake. Lol.
How are you doing @Hannah McKay?
That topper was so adorable! For her not to use it just because it didn't go with her design or vision of the cake is some BS. She broke the number one rule that must override anything at a wedding, if the bride wants something then she gets it. The couple specifically said they wanted the topper, what she should have done is created a design surrounding and incorporating it. Newsflash woman, its their wedding not yours choosing to not incorporate that topper is just down right rude in my opinion.
I kept waiting for it to be added to the cake. Was a bit disappointed when it wasn't added.
***** You were totally right. That was utterly disrespectful!
The whole time the couple went to visit each decorator they popped out the topper but when they went to her they never showed them telling her that they wanted it. I was waiting for her to put it on top but then she added those tiny flowers lol
Poooooooooooooo
Christine Dysart uj,just, jkmlk,, system has been a u77ju7 the same 78
80% of the comments are about the cake topper😂😂😂
I thought the cake was beautiful, but she didn't do the topper! I mean for her to deliberately decide not to do the topper because it doesn't fit with the design is just rude. They told her above all else they wanted the topper. Personally, I would have gone with the third designer anyway. She seemed to grasp what the couple wanted better than the other two. Oh well.
I totally second you!! and Even I thought about the topper.. it is rude and inconsiderate of her indeed!
Thats just mean of her!! They wanted it and its their wedding cake, not hers >.
***** totally agree! and 3rd cake probably taste also better..idk why they choose the brown banana cake w white fondant doesn't look tasty at all!on top of that no topper!
Honestly the cake was very nice. I liked the roses on the tree. But what I can't fathom is that when asked was there anything special that they really wanted and yes it was the cake topper they had designed especially for the cake the woman decided it was her right to omit it! Really? That was the ONE thing they specified even brought it to show you. Your design should have worked around that. Very rude and unprofessional in my opinion. It would have looked fine on there. You need to pay more attention to your customers. The cake wasn't for you it was for their special day.
How dare she not use the topper and I would have picked lady number three. She seemed as srange as the bride and groom.
They got themselves a very special topper that they were sure to show the bakers, yet she was like "Nah, let's not do that." Rude, really. No matter how nice the cake looked.
Bottom-line, I wouldn't want anyone 2 surprise me with any cake that i'm paying for. I would want to see the design sketched out first & then choose.
I dont think they have to pay for this cake...
Me too. Even if it's free 😂
As a pastry chef and cake decorator, I was disgusted by her decision to not use the cake topper that they had specially made. When a client comes to you for such a special occasion, you do everything in your power to utilize everything that they have asked you to. Also her comments about how the cake looked "spooky" when it had the trees on all the tiers, YOU ARE AN ARTIST, YOU CAN CHANGE AND TWEAK YOUR DESIGNS SO THAT THEY LOOK THE WAY YOU WANT THEM TO. Ugh so instead of doing what the client asked, you made her cake into a fairy tale cake with a teeny tiny triple moon so that you could say you added in something from their pagan beliefs. God this makes me mad :( I feel so bad for that couple.
+Julianne Perez I'm not a pastry chef, but I too was appalled by her choice not to use their topper. If I were the bride, I'd be furious and demand a refund on the spot or that things be done MY way.
+Julianne Perez my exact thoughts!!!!

God after watching this I agree completely. That was such a cute cake topper and I would've been so mad if she hadn't used it for mine. That stupid woman doesn't know at all how to give what the client wants. I feel like she's done the same with other couples with really cool concepts for their cakes >:(
gg
I would have been incredibly pissed about the cake topper not being added. Especially knowing it was the one thing that was brought for the design. I'm a Pastry Cook and baker, if a client comes to you with something like that, you do it. "Creepy tree" or not. make it beautiful, that's the job.
Plus where did woodland creatures and butterflies come into the mix???
I want to believe she added them because of how they were designed, not that it was butterflies and woodland creatures. Plus, I also think she added them because she didn't add anything or did research of Paganism.
Eyebrows.. that is all!
+iissofluffy1 I didn't even notice eyebrows on anyone, now I have to go back n watch bc I'm dying to know what you're talking about! LOL Thanks.
+AJ McCane 1:23 seriously look at that guys eyebrows lol
his eyebrows are just fabulous
they gave her specific things they wanted and she included, like what, one out of 5 or 6 of their ideas. They paid for the cake, they wanted her to bring their pieces of a vision alive and she didn't. Especially the cake topper!
The third one was perfect for them
Eyebrows NOT on fleek
'Where's the cake topper? Maybe they'll put it on after they take a bite...still no cake topper. Nope, definitely no topper.'
"We met on an online chatroom" Shit, I bet you two did!
HumanoidSparky well they are happy now?
right
lalitha pillarisetty Statistically speaking, they're probably not.
why not dear? they look happy
Its sad now days people are forgetting the Golding Rule.. your client is always right..i seen that more then once, it happened on food network challenge, people are really designing for their self.. just cause its not in the design means you create a new one, or you put it in the design and make it look like it was planned
The couple's looks are, umm, interesting.
wow..so i was sure soo sure they'd choose the lady no 3! i mean she was just perfect for what they wanted and for their style! wtf were they thinking no 2 was such a rong choice..oh well it's they wedding whatever...but it made no sense...
+marishkaspirit i agree with you, baker number 3 was perfect for them. number 2 just wanted to show off her talents and didn't listen when they said that they wanted the cake topper on the cake, and to me the cake looked more fairy tale and not pagan which is what they wanted.
the problem is they didn't know she wouldn't listen until they saw the cake. Number 3 at least knew what shirt was on the cake topper groom so she at least had something in common as well. When she said she decided not to use the cake topper, I'm like wtf...did they tell you that you get carte blanche or did she did just take over and make changes? ah, well, who knows what happened after the episode. Maybe with all these comments the baker will give her a refund of some of it or make a damn 1 year anniversary cake for free for them with the topper finally on! smh
I agree. it should have been #3, I think she was the most interested in the type of wedding that they were having.
Nice cake but had really hoped to see the topper used.
Lol all of you so mad about the topper and I'm sitting here cringing over the dude's eyebrows and teeth xD
As a cake designer myself, I truly respect each wedding couple's taste. If a cake maker cannot follow this #1 rule, DO NOT be in the business.
the topper was so cute, though
where is the topper????!
As a pagan myself I find this really offensive. She had LOTS of material to work with, there are TONS of symbols she could've used on the cake, and she went for a fairy-tale like scene. They said tree of life, pentacles, triple goddess,WHERE THE HECK IS ALL THAT?! I even think they chose her because of her idea of the tree and in the end she didn't even use it. And the topper... I don't know what I would've done if my baker decided not to use a topper that I specifically asked to use. I'm so mad, really, incompetent and rude baker.
I know I would of instantly chosen the first or third baker. They actually had good material and they did ask quite alot of important questions.
Although it was beautiful cake. It wasn't what they asked for and it completely lacked a lot of their details they wanted. I couldn't believe that she added the moons but did you see how TINY they were?! I was like WOW! I completely agree with everything you're saying. Do you know how beautiful the moons would have looked for example in black, against that white background but huge and front and centered?! And the tree, she could have done SO much with that!!!! Completely lacking and it's very sad.
i have heard about Pagans before as i had a symbol in my art book (a lady told me that it stood for the life cycle of a woman, (the girl, the maiden and the old crow, is that right?))
but i don't understand what they are about, could you tell me please.
She was probably cheaper is what I'm guessing. I would have gone with the 3rd baker also.
DanyraR I was just as upset as she didn’t really do all the things she said. Yes it was beautiful but it had no a lot of the specific symbols for what the couple wanted. I didn’t think it was pagan enough and she basically hid all the symbols. Also, how the hell does the cake make have a say in not putting the customized cake topper. That could have been made by someone important to them. It was not scary at all. Argh.
I totally agree with comments from other cake designers about the unfortunate outcome of choosing this designer. She promised a horse and delivered a mule. Should have gone with #3 I think. This design was not at ALL what this couple wanted. It looks like a Bambi-themed kids cake. She did not execute the agreed on design theme, and to not use the topper was appalling. Just goes to show you...there's no such thing as a "free lunch" or in the case, cake.
They should have went with the third lady. What... They are quite daft if you ask me. The third lady seemed genuinely sincere with her excitement, and her design - vague as it was - sounded very interesting. Huge mistake on their part.
I LOVE that topper, so cute!
that topper was cute and said a lot about them, if my custom made topper wasn't on my cake im blowing that entire bakery up.
The topper she left out was the best part
No specially designed topper? Shame on you, cake baker! Shame on you!
+Sarah Le Moignan
lol!
This couple is adorable!!!
Goth! Okay this couple is amazing. Like this other couple that wanted steampunk style cake... :3
Wonderful ❤ ❤ ❤
I'd be fuming with that
How are you doing @Sophie?
fabulous cake...
It was such an understated shocker the way the designer immediately scrapped the topper.
That was a really cool wedding! I live how they encorporated both religions and the hand tying. The cake was so beautiful but what happened to the topper? Thank you for sharing!=:)
Surely she would have gotten their consent before not including the topper, right??
I like the design
I can't believe it could be too far wrong. Not expecting any tears.
The cat looks like a human LOL
Just unforgettable..! How can she had not included their cake topper..! 😱😵
you know when someone make a BRIGHT RED red velvet cake, they don't know what a real red velvet cake is.
Wow, when you hear pagan you usually think creepy and weird, but that was actually a really beautiful ceremony
AND What happened to that cake topper........ I wonder
They seem like a very nice couple =D
Great cake
19:04 "Hopefully I've incorporated everything they've wanted." You know you fucking haven't, you left the specially made topper off!
It was really disrespectful that Rosalind chose to not include the topper that was especially made for them. I'm pretty sure the couple had something to say about it. It's so fake to not show their response to the missing topper. I'm sure that was the decision of the producer to not include the couple's response to it. She promised them they would have a tree coming out and she removed it. She mdae a cake for herself, not for the couple. It looked good but not what they asked for.
It seems the cake designer realised she couldn't deliver the cake shed promised to her client. She seemed to have the impression that pagan living is like Halloween too so I feel she was never going to get the brief right. It came over as arrogant that the design she was creating was like Halloween what if they wanted Halloween pagan style. They said they used to be Goths... So yes I think maybe they should have got their individual view of what paganism is and how they'd put this onto a cake involving the commissioned piece they'd actually wanted.
I agree the design of the cake wouldn't have worked with the topper. But she was supposed to design the cake around it... If I were the designer I'd be saying that I'm struggling with the design we discussed. I never heard anyone ask is there anything you don't want or like? The client was fairly clear with what they wanted..
Can I see this on tv what cable channel I have xfinity
The third one was the bast for them, she had their style and she's the only one who got excited from that cute topper.
when she said im not going to use it i was like exscuse me WHAT
plus it would have been awesome with that topper
Gargamel? Is that you?
Rahel Erki hahaha ong
i like the first idea
wow those eyebrows,blessed be xx
you got that right!!
The top decoration ran away? :(
Wow
I don't understand why the cake maker did not use the topper the couple chose. It's their cake not hers for a start and that was what they wanted. I thought all up the cake was rather bland looking (especially with nothing on the top of it) for what was a pagan ceremony. I think the cake maker tried to still keep to traditional , almost kiddy woodland design instead of tweaking it more.
Holy crap they will be lucky to get to cake eating with the brides dress still up, who fitted that bodice YIKES
EYEBROWS! agh,
I say we those eyebrows them I browse the comments and see this XD
so distracting!
01:33 "and went down on me in the bedroom" or "went down on one knee in the bedroom" which one is it
19:52 what music is playing in the background?
my question is where is the price for the top of the cake
Cool
I need my wedding cake with this ingredients mango, cheesecake, bananas, chocolate, strawberries, walnuts, almonds and you🤣😘🌹🍰
il a fait quoi à ses sourcils le mec ? 😱😂😱😂
I liked the topper, that pissed me off
Omg They have to go through all those people & cake sorry cake boss the best
I was waiting for the momnt were the dress would go pop!
Which series of usa talking about weddings cakes, asked how the bride and groom wants cakes, making cake and delivering cake?
Cake boss is amazing
not use the cake topper?! what the....?
amazing that she didn't burst outa the dress!
Google it, can't post the link here.
this is making me hungry...
they are Pagan. Look it up.
I'm I the only one who noticed that old ass banana she used??? 😂
well done Rosalyn, that cake looks amazing.. but you forgot the man and woman they wanted for on top of the cake
AWwwwww he cried !!! =]
i think the third person would have done it better
That is the most boring wedding cake ever. It had nothing interesting about it.
it should be about the taste and design not just design but it was pretty
that's funny you said that when i first saw him i knew he looked familiar but couldn't think of who...lol
yes & u aint never lied...that's Gargamel all the way.
I think it would have looked perfect with the topper
I'd be mad if she got rid of my cake topper I mean that's a little rude
Omg her dress looks just like mine but mine covered the more
what happened to the cake topper
Okay, so the topper was a bit cartoon-y BUT to ignore what they specifically wanted was a major no-no. Had they chosen the third lady, I think they could have ended up with an elegant cake that was also unique to them. It's disappointing really, I think Restoration lady could have pulled off that topper and made it look creative and dramatic. I don't get it, she was just as alternative and into goth like them. The end resulting cake was too safe, but hey, they liked it so.. Turned out alright.
DANM ADVERTS
I think the cake is fabulous - and I'm glad she didn't use the topper. The ceremony was so beautiful, and the cake was an elegant representation of that. The topper was too cartoonish to me. Seems to me the bride and groom didn't mind - I'm sure they were made aware of her plans ahead of time. They can use it for a one tier anniversary cake so it wasn't purchased all for naught.
I agree!!!
i like elisabeth's voice. so nice to hear
I hope that I incorporated every thing that they wanted
You didn't use the cake topper
Gives an art piece they specifically chose and wanted on their cake,a clear indication of the style they like, yet it gets ignored because their taste doesn't match the artist's.
