- Frostmaw is one of the most menacing v blood bosses in V Rising, and it's been a nightmare for me to defeat! But finally I figured out the build to tip the scales in my favour. For me he keeps running away and his health gets restored. Feels a bit unfair.
Some bosses are on a very short leash; there's some room for improvement there.

This was a godsend. I'll also second using Iron Slashers in this fight, even just to use your camouflage while your shields are coming back up. Thank you so much for this!

This boss is actually pretty dificult, but I managed to get him to fight a stone golem and that just almost completely killed him. I guess thats a cheesy strat you can use.
I was thinking about bringing him to a golem but of course he kills me before we got to him.

I find using the Iron slashers helps a lot. The elusive strike skill can be used to dodge through the frost beams if your travel skill is on cooldown

@@BlackoutGamingChanneli did it with the pistol, the rolling shot did the same, plus allowed me to keep distance and time his hits... still took me a bit but i was using a LITTLE different abils because i didn't have the chaos shield
I attempted him for my first time tonight using this method. Saw him and sent a scythe spinning to aggro him. Dodged two attacks and then he just stopped and stood there with his arms out to the side breathing heavy. I spammed my scythe E key and crossbow Q key and never even had to move from my spot. Obviously was a glitch, but I’ll take it! If only Octavian had glitched during one of my 10 attempts at him before I finally got him lol
Got to admit, I saw this guide and went to the mountains, found Frostmaw, started the fight and he glitched exactly the same way behind a tree.
worked like a charm and this time I even had a treants help, have my thumb and a sub

bro after so many deaths i finally beaten this boss and i learned a lot my mechanics became so good that other bosses became so easy
if your mechanics is good this boss is nothing

Did this at level 50 thanks so much :) I used veil of chaos for the double jump instead of the frost one though :P
Chaos veil is my favourite one for sure, but I felt with how fast the damn thing is, i thought that getting as much shield as possible was a good idea but I guess it's more about using the shield than trying to run away 😊
His ice laser shoot through rock. Can't beat him.

Lol i got lucky a freaking moose stumbled apon the fight n rammed the boss to death 😭 W moose fr gave me chance to land attacks!
Sorry for other day, I was so pissed dying to vamp hunter, your strat saved the day. So I just watched this and faught him, got him down to nearly last hit and he hits me with three frost projectiles and then does his breath which shoved me back, and then he reset cause I was frozen. Word of warning to others :) I'm using reflect shield which helps, but Purgatory to heal is a lot more useful. I'm over half health and he's near death and I suck compared to Blackout.
I love this idea of purgatory but the limited heal makes any healing abilities mostly useless I'd say. You can heal up to 25% of your missing health or something right?

I almost beat him 2 times and he keeps resetting low. Max tilt
He just keeps running away from me and time i get him low, he throws the ice down so i cant move and runs off ?
If he's running away I suppose you kited him too far. Try keep him closer to the location you aggroed him
I tried this, went bad the first round since I wasn't used to the set-up (human error) but the second time around my ultimate skill minion went away during one of the volley attacks and it bugged out. Just spammed scythe E with crossbow Q and leftclick. Did not dare to move when I had the free shot lol. Didn't even trigger the phase battle

Yeh I killed jade using the skeleton shield and the shield the reflects the damage. Basically let her kill herself. I'm pretty sure I made a video on it

good strat, but the fact that you never used your E started to really annoy me lol
It took me a lot of brain power I didn't have much left to spare for the E lol
This boss is so fucking stupid. Every time I get him to 30% he runs away and resets... Broken game.
Might try this out I'd suggest maybe telling us what blood type you used cause that could make huge difference like I'm using 90% scholar blood but if I was to use something else no idea how different fogt could be it's like half the battle depending what blood your using someone could try same spells as you but if there blood sucks an gear is low then really doesn't matter what spells you use also there is potions that increase physical damage and magic damage that are basically available from the start but never see anyone use them against bosses just a thought considering you had maybe 1-2 hits before death of this one, showing spells is great an all but like I mentioned the blood impacts so much as does the gear it's determines your health your damage basically everything important so seems odd to leave out 99% of the info could almost argue spells an weapon you use are least important because without good armor an decent blood these bosses will ruin most ppl
Yeah, this didn't work for shit. His attacks go straight through the "shield" Between this fight and the Octavian this beta game lost all of it's fun. Maybe they'll balance this shit

wasd remaisn the best dodge, if you walk slowly or stand still you'll get hit by any boss
yeah but some enemies run towards you and you cant just walk away from their melee
