First off, that's the best wedding gift ever!. Secondly, that Bradford is a beautiful piece of badassery. Classic, clean design. Absolutely gorgeous. Thank you so much for sharing.
Bradford definitely does an amazing job with m390. I've had my G3S for almost 2 years now and the blade is still pristine after tons of use. And I'm glad I jumped on ship with the Fastpak. It's a spectacular knife.
Killer setup there. The beast bark river is badass!! Love your smaller knife as well. The guardian series are beautiful knives, well put together. I had a guardian 3 for a couple years in m390. Loved the ergos and everything.. Then I had it Rockwell tested and ran it against a pm2 in m390 In an edge retention test and toughness test on my channel.. after that i couldn't look at the bg3 the same anymore. I think for that price point they should get the steel a little harder. Of course my knife was only 1 example and not all heat treats are done equally. But m390 at 59hrc where my Bradford was against m390 at 62 (pm2) is 2 different steels...totally different. With all that bs said... if you love the knife that's the only thing that matters. And it is a beautiful knife to be in love with. Thanks for sharing.
I have carried a Bradford G3 daily along with a folder for close to 3 years now and the guardian has yet to disapoint. The G4 will soon be mine as well. Couldn't agree with u more. Just a fantastic company puting out an outstanding American made product. Think I see a G3 in your future as well my friend 👍 Great review keep up the fine work
Fantastic looking knife! Yes...I think you could do anything you want to with those 3 knives! World domination is with your grasp...lol! Thanks for sharing!
That is one great wedding gift! Great review. I am looking at Bradford's new G-Necker knife but their G3 in either Vanadis or M390 look sweet. Have a good one. :)
I've always wanted a JX5, but everytime they drop a run, I've been broke.I love my Bark Rivers, and in fact, have another one that is showing out for delivery, so I'm stalking my mail man, lol. I do want a Bradford one of these days too. I've never heard anyone say a bad thing about them. They do make a great looking knife. I'm thinking of the Gaurdian 3 for an edc option. Easily concealable in the horizontal cross draw carry.
Had many RATs back in the day, never got to have a Becker but looks nice to me and like the design. I like the looks of the Rainier a lot but due to my health and not using them outside I dont see a reason anymore to spend much if anything on a strait blade even though I like them and do miss them.
Do you know what the difference in microtextured carbon fiber and regular carbon fiber on the scales for this knife (Bradford Guardian line)? They have slightly different skew numbers, the microtextured version just has an extra letter "M" in theirs. The photos look identical and their prices are the same. I was thinking one may be marbled and the other end cut but I was hoping someone would have some info.
A moment of silence for the chris reeve company who discontinued all their wonderful fixed blades in exchange for focusing solely on sebenza collectors pieces. Can't find any fixed blade from CR anywhere now
Yeah man.. The Nyala is one of the best fixed blades out there. My hope is that they'll bring it back in S45VN.. Because it's just lame that they cut the line from production.
@@ATherapeuticEdge I regretfully let the last CR Green Beret go from BHQ on the count that living in suburban CA I won't get use out of it.. I also shed crocodile tears for the Hinderer company with their version of the Sebenza, the XM18, here you have two companies who realized they could milk their two top selling models by remaking them using custom materials. I really think it's a shame, a knife Is a tool, no more, no less but when you have a cult following consisting of mostly collectors who are willing to spend 700+ a pop for a knife, what are you (the company) going to do? Continue to create tools worldwide operators have come to know and respect, or make collectors pieces to achieve the quickest buck and appease the collectors?
I assume you handled a bunch of knives on Bradford’s table when you were there. What did you think of the differences between the Guardian 4 and 4.5? Why did you choose the 4 over the 4.5? I’m curious because I have a Guardian 3 and the only reason I haven’t gotten a 4 yet is that I am not sure if I should get a 4 or 4.5 since I can’t handle them in person.
Everything you say about the Bradford Guardian series is right. I love them, too - Especially their sheepsfoot variations! ❤
Beautifull simple and clean design !! Fantastic knife ! Thanks for sharing !
I've been into the Bradford Guardian knives as well. The 3, 4 in M390 steel, and now that the 3.2 is available in M390. Really tuff to beat M390

I really love the ergos on his handles, and I’m scratching my head as to why I don’t own one yet.

Timbo437 I have the G3S and G3.5. Can’t recommend enough.
