Might be an absurd request but you should make a 4 bolt version so guys can throw small downriggers on there.

The kayak vendors should mount rails with a backing-plate, so they are way stronger than with just screws. Just don't catch a whale!

This is a great idea because it acts as a universal mount between manfs! I have been testing 2 different mounts: the Scotty 343 locking gunnel and YakAttack's LockNLoad. IMO, the YakAttack is the much more secure of two. BUT I love that yours acts like a UNIVERSAL mount so I can finally properly mount my Scotty laketroller. 👏👏
It being universal was the main goal of the mount. Tons of different parts on the market today and most folks own a variety. Thanks for watching and commenting.

What is the length of the plate? Can I mount 2 of this plate onto one track for my Old Town 106 PDL kayak?
Two will fit on the track. We are bit behind following the fire but we are working to get things back in order.

I have an Outback and wanted to mount a fish finder. The only secure way I could determine was a Hobie H-rail mount with 1.5” ram ball and medium double socket arm. The double socket arm allows you to position the display outboard out of the way of your leg. Your solution is as sturdy and probably cheaper overall. Those H-Rail mounts aren’t cheap.

This is awesome! Just got a native slayer max 10 and I have a garmin echomap 93sv and I run Livescope, so I hate when it rocks like that, will most definitely be buying one of those, keep it up!

@NavarreKayakFishing Hi I came across this channel as I was researching on how to reinforce my Scotty Triple mount base on for my kayak without the use of a 1/4" inch thick metal backplate. (Not on a track system but "sandwiched" between the Scotty base onto the kayak's plastic) and then use the Beefed Up plate underneath the kayak plastic with mounting bolts & nuts.
Will that work as far as that goes to prevent "wiggle" of the Triple mount? It will be located behind me to serve as 2 rod holders on side and a "whip" light in the middle. (And use other Scotty "accessories" when necessary/changeable.)

(PS is your "Beefed Up" plates metal or plastic & how much force can it withstand?) - [side to side wiggling creates much stronger force than forward rocking force due to the kayaks anatomy.]🤔

I am hopefully you and yours are as well. The weather has been terrible here if it isn't raining its beyond hot. I didn't do a lot of fishing this year. I did go to Nova Scotia to our cottage terrible weather there as well. I have never seen so much rain in my life.

On the website, is the beef up plate the one with the inner track? Or is that a separate item?
The beef up plate doesn’t have a track. The link in the description goes to the product shown in the video. The item we make with the track is the rod holder replacement mounts.

@@jelly_fishing it's meant to go in a gear track. If you don't already have one, you'll need to get one, but most kayaks come with at least a couple of them.
The track is built into the kayak on the model. I’m a bit confused about the question and I feel like we are talking about tow different things. Give me a call.
