One thing I've learned is that page decoration is an important part of my journaling process, even though the decorations often have nothing to do with the day. When I switched to a standalone journal instead of using Hobonichi Cousin pages, I was like "I don't need to decorate, I can just focus on writing!" And then I just ... completely lost the journaling habit. Never found time for it, never really felt like doing it. When I decided to start using random stickers and washi again, all of a sudden I was way more inspired. I guess even just ripping off a single piece of washi and sticking it on a corner gets my brain into the journaling mood.
I loved reading about your habits and learnings! I love that! I think I'm the same too. Collaging and sticking down fun stationery gets the journaling juices flowing!
Job, you brightened my morning! I was deciding whether to keep journaling/memory keeping as my life is mundane now that I’m semi retired and came across your video. I really enjoyed it, had a few giggles with you and am motivated to keep going. Thank you so much from an oldie in Australia 😊
Thank you for this video, Job! I’ve been debating getting a Plotter A5 for my work planner, and this just cinched it for me - ordered it and I’m so excited. Love those big weekly pages!
I've been journaling in a Hobonichi Techo this year, first time using one- and I journal in the evening. But I think I'll try journaling in the morning because you're so right about sometimes missing stuff that may have happened that night. Thanks for sharing! 😊❤️
stumbled upon your channel while completing my design project, and you’re my new favourite youtuber 😁 ur content is directed so well, and ur personality is also just wonderful. makes me way more excited about my new hobobichi thats on its way!!!
🧋.. I like to doodle, draw, and use washi. However, I find that I feel my pages are empty unless I have photos for the day 😊.. I would say my routine is writing in my planner after dinner so I can write about the important/happy/upsetting/things that happened in the day.
When are you ready, please share with us your Japan journal - was there for 2 weeks in April/May have loads of washi, ephemera and photos. If not here I also support you on patreon...🧋
For sure! I left my hard drive in Vancouver which has all my Tokyo footage, but once I have it back, I'll be sure to edit a video! Thank you so much for the suggestion, friend!
Darling, I just noticed your grip - after two years of watching. How do you not hurt? Kindly ignore me if your grip works for you, but if you get cramps or tired, please do take care of your wrist and fingers.
it is always better not to think about other people's idea of what you should do or not do. I think you are correct whatever makes you smile and make you feel happy is exactly what you should do-- Let's embrace "to be cringe is to be free" 💖😁🧋
🧋 “to be cringe is to be free” new favourite quote 🤣 totally on board with that sentiment!
Yessss! Let's be cringe together! haha!
