Sustainiac vs Veyz Sustainer

Peak Current Draw @ 9VDC = 42mA
Veyz Sustainer installed in a 2022 Epiphone Alex Lifeson Les Paul Custom Axcess
Bridge Pickup = Epiphone Probucker 3
Peak Current Draw @ 9VDC = 200mA
I have installed the Sustainiac in 5 guitars and am really invested in the sound and control, but, I liked the gold hardware look of the Red Ruby and Maniac Music does not have a gold cover sustainer pickup. I came across Veyz that had a gold cover pickup that integrates the sustainer driver and a separate neck pickup under the pickup cover.
From the Video, it seems that the Sustainiac has more "power", but that may be due to the difference in Bridge pickup that the sustainer uses to create a feedback loop. The Ibanez Roadstar II has a DiMarzio Super Distortion and the EPI Red Ruby has the EPI ProBucker 3. The Veyz Sustainer has a Gain control that is presently maxed out... I will try to raise the Neck pickup a bit to get the Sustainer Driver closer to the strings.
I measured the Peak current draw of each system to see how the systems 'eat' batteries... the Sustainiac has much lower current draw which means that the battery will last longer...
Veyz Sustainer Peak Current Draw @ 9VDC = 200mA
Sustainiac Peak Current Draw @ 9VDC = 42mA
The cost of the Veyz is about 1/2 the cost of the Sustainiac.
It took a while [more than a few months] for my Veyz Sustainer to reach me after a few prompts over What's App, but this was the risk that I was willing to take to get the 'look' that I wanted for the guitar... thankfully I received it and it looks and operates as expected.

Hello Joe, I really like this set up and would like to add this to my les paul, does the veyz sustainer pickup come pre-wired with the 2 push-pull pots instead of the 2 mini toggle switches… Would u have any info of how u requested that set up from veyz? Any help would be great. Thank you for the videos. Jeff.

Thanks for making this. Would you say settings up the vyez closer to the stings would compensate for the discrepancy in power compared to the sustaniac? Also, could the difference in power be due to the difference in bridge pickup outputs?

I put my veyz super close to the strings and still get only good sustain on certain notes/string…. Kind of a bummer….

would you be willing to help me figure mine out? I installed the veyz in my les paul axcess and i've had nothing but issues out of it. they're horrible at helping out too. really bummed about it.
