Protein powder. Eggs. Chicken. Lean beef. Lean pork. Greek yogurt. Oats. Rice. Potatoes. Whole grain breads. This is literally all I eat
That’s exactly the same foods I eat.but i love my burgers and pizza .and salmon.
@@geno5169 as long as it's not an excess. I'm on low carb/Keto diet but after a couple weeks and a good workout, I'll carb load and munch on some pizza.
No fruit??? Fruit is so goooood tho
Fruits and veggies my guy? Your poops much be so dense. I eat all that too but half of my food comes from fruits and vegetables
@@ricksgiggle8852 this! I find that if you can maintain a keto lifestyle, eating the way you just described tends to keep your metabolism from adapting too much.
I'm one of the the unlucky ones I had 18 auto immune diseases for over 20 years would have never thought to go carnivore I got so bad that I was in the hospital and they told my wife I probably didn't have long. She had just seen Mikaela Peterson on Joe Rogan and we had nothing left to lose. 2 years later every medical problem I had is gone or in complete remission! I was so sick the military had to retire me at 30 and at 45 I became a shut in cause I couldn't walk from the RA and I couldn't go out without 💩 myself! Now at 49 I lost 120lbs learned how to mountain bike and been back in the gym the last 6 months! Life is good and God has blessed me! Thanks guys for unlearning me from the standard fitness world! 💪👍
I would love to see you interviewed by Shawn Baker ,carnivore doctor. ( UA-cam channel :Revero) He’s often looking for inspiring guests, like you. 😊 Try contacting him.
@@YT313YT thank you
interesting! have you ever added other things like sweet potatoes into your diet?
Were you ever stationed at FT Mclellan AL?
I was and I had tumors etc .. the same tumors returned in my chest and had to be removed again .. I think eventually it's gonna take me down ... But I had all kinds of issues while at Ft Mclellan where I served OSUT as an MP .. it looks like your health has improved 👍 but I wanted to throw that out there bcuz ft Mclellan was shut down by the EPA and Monsanto chem co has to pay 700 mill to locals in Anniston Alabama where ft Mclellan is located .. they only paid the civilians but naturally they deny chemicals existed on base .. but the EPA labelled it a superfund and shut down y the entire base I think in 94 ... I was there 88 ... Its not been reopened since...
They found pcb's and nbc chemicals in the soil water air etc .. shit that causes leukemia and a list of the other 1% bad disorders
Anyway I just wondered brother 🤡
Best of luck 👍
Wow!!!! What a story & inspiration! So happy for you!
Yes eggs please. Four a day at least for me. Soft boiled runny yolk, I bring to work along with 2 cans of tuna. At home they are sunny side up, runny yolks. No doubt.
My go to foods, steak, salmon, eggs, broccoli, cauliflower, asparagus, 85% cacao chocolate, strawberries, avocados, olives, butternut squash, baby greens, onions, bell peppers, tomatoes, cucumbers, beets, carrots, kiwi, oatmeal, beans, rice, pickles, mushrooms, homemade mixed nuts-brazil, walnut, macadamia
I eat oatmeal once and while.! Because it’s high in carbs! But I eat almost everything you eat! I don’t eat much steak
This episode was super helpful. I’ve been struggling with my protein intake but this helped a lot! Thanks guys!🙏🏼
Great advice guys! Glad that you all provided so many different options
Didn’t know I needed this one. Episode was great and I’m definitely gonna be implementing some more of these foods in my diet. Thanks guys kee the content rolling!
Absolutely love the show. Transitioning from a collegiate athlete to an everyday lifter and this show has helped me ramp down to a steady level while staying fit!
Fantastic episode and such a great and helpful discussion. I’m 38 weeks pregnant and listening to you guys and your nutrition and fitness advice has helped me so much to be as consistent as I can be throughout this pregnancy. Can’t wait to try one of your programs post partum once I’m finally recovered and ready to start lifting again.
Found you guys a few months back. Talk about having missed out on so much content. I have been going back and watching tons of your videos. The content is the greatest and your friendships shine through which is refreshing. Thanks for all that y’all do!!
Just started listening to you guys over the last month and love it. Thanks for all the great info!
You guys are the best! I've been waiting for an episode like this for a while. Thanks guys!
I absolutely LOVE this episode! Obliterated some of the misconceptions I had, especially with rice & butter. Thank you for taking the time to shine light on this topic.
Thank you guys for all the amazing content/info you put out! I've learned so much and your channel has made the beginning portion of my personal training career a lot easier. I find that I can speak with more confidence even though I lack the experience by referring to your guys's experience and observations. I will forever be indebted to each one of you!
Good getting this info out there 💪🏼
Love all 14! Thanks!
Morning mind pump brothers! Quality content! Have a blessed day 🙏🏼💪🏼👊🏼
Honorable mentions:
Cottage cheese & Greek yogurt.
They might not be super nutrient dense or tasty, but their protein/calories ratio make them a stapple for me!
They’re certainly nutrient dense, maybe they didn’t make the list because of sensitivity/digestibility issues they cause in some people
are you Indian ? because cottage cheese is popular here and called Paneer. It's stapple. Yogurt too
@@nw3877 cottage cheese sells all around the world bro
Or tasty? Or nutrition dense? Are you out of your mind?
I love that combo
Love y'all. Been listening 4-5 years. I fell off my fitness around a year ago due to a variety of things coming up in life. I'm prepping for my wedding in November and have been consistent in the gym the past 3 months; diet is dialed in, working through Anabolic for the third time and really focusing on mobility and trigger sessions. I'm noticing significantly less back pain (something I battle with) during squats and DLs. Focusing on mobility with much lighter weight has helped, but I also want to bump my numbers (about to start a bulk) before going into a cut prior to our wedding. Would LOVE Powerlift to help with this! I appreciate y'all. Enjoy your day.
Great video guys I really appreciate you. Eating my protein before my meals seems like a nice hack. I'll be incorporating that going forward.
Incredible content from these guys.
Another great content video released from you guys! 🙌🏻
Such a useful show, you guys always provide such great information for free. You guys rock
Thank you guys for doing this show. Great show
This is an episode I will be sharing with all my clients! Thanks, Guys!!!!!
Awesome content!! Thank you 💪
Seriously underappreciated content. Going to try and stick to mostly these for the next 40 days and see how I feel/look.
Love the show, I've learned so much from you'll. I continue to listen and get smarter and stronger everyday. Thank you so much for all the harder work you'll put into the show, keep up the great work!!
Awesome conversation. Learned a lot!
Love that Justin is getting more out there, love that guy!
Im 9 months post partum and I had to relearn everything I thought I knew about fitness to make the best out of my current goals. I found you guys somewhere in between these past 9 months and I have listened to y’all day in and day out. I have learned so much in such a short amount of time, and I cannot believe how amazing I feel since following your advice. I still have a long journey ahead of me, but I appreciate y’all for all the great input and continuously teaching me how to properly reach my goals, and maintain them.
😢
Please share your biggest nutrition, fitness and lifestyle changes that helped get you to your goals.
Awesome episode!
Advice for days, working on living our best lives. Great show guys.
I love this show. I learn a lot from you guys.
Hi guys been watching you guys for about a year now, and got down to 15% body fat at 62 years old. Been using your free stuff to program my workout. Planning to buy MAPS Symmetry. Thanks for everything you do
Great advice!
great show thanx guys
I respect you all guys💯..I have been listening to your podcast since last 4-5 months and I am just loving it and gained a lot of knowledge...sometimes I feels like a certified nutritionist 😁...Respect
yall are great! thx
This is such a good breakdown and explanation plus great examples of how your diet doesn't have to be bland and boring. Been watching/listening to you guys for about a year now. My son who is 14 is just now starting to workout and getting interested in diet/training. I started with sharing your videos with him I added him to my gym membership yesterday. Send your prayers for him because today is leg day.... 😂
Keep up the great work guys love the channel!!
Nice. I hope he’s doing well!
Thank you soooo much!!!
Great overview! One addition to Olive oil:
Be sure to use Extra Vierge oil to 'ADD to everything' and to COOK 🍳 or fry using normal/culinary olive oil. Cheers!
Love this conversation!
Cooking breakfast while listening amd feeling great about it. 5 eggs, chicken, kale and spinach, with blueberries, oatmeal and milk on the side haha.
I learn so much from you guys ❤thank you for all this knowledge. 🙏
Love this episode.
Woww, this video was sooo informative!
Great content guys ..and you got straight to the point 😊..awesome 😎
So many health and fitness influencers try to overcomplicate working out, exercises, healthy foods etc. I love how you all take all your advanced knowledge and simplify it down! Not only does it make it easier, but it’s less stressful to do 2-4 full body days. Now I have time to stress out about other things 😂
This is such a great podcast
Hi guys, I just found your channel and truly love that you cater to us regular folk that are starting out in the gym and on a healthy lifestyle journey..in this short period of time I really look up to you guys and only listen to your podcast since i started on July 1,2022..But I'm not sure if you're aware of the toxic gym culture that's going on right now especially on social media? There's been a ton of incidents of people secretly filming new gym goers with 'bad form' just trying to weight lift in order to embarrass them online without their consent..I feel so lucky and blessed that I get to go around 4am when there's hardly anyone there due to the fact that I'm currently working from home. But for anyone that has to go during peak hours when ego-driven men/women are dominating the gym floors..what advice or encouragement would you offer us? Anything would help. This is sad and crazy. Thank you so much in advance! You guys are a solid rock 💪🙏🧠❤
Maps strong would be a amazing one to do. I watch every single podcast and this podcast has taught me and so many others so much. Appreciate you guys!
Started with maps anabolic after listening to your podcast & your info is much better than other paid programs because you give practical advice!
I’ve been looking for something like this for a while. Thanks
You're welcome.
this is amazing! have been binging your videos and absolutely love it
Winner! Please email ann@mindpumpmedia.com with this episode number, a screenshot of your youtube profile, and the email you would like the program to go to!
@@MindPumpShow So if my comment is about sucking up to you I would win?
Always enjoy your videos gentlemen. I learned about satellite cells from your podcast with Dr. Scott Stevenson. By the end of that podcast when you guys were wrapping up, I couldn't believe it was over as well -- the conversation was so intriguing and kept me really interested. Thanks for all you do!
I've learned so much listening to y'all. I have a lot of y'all programs. I do need powerlift, because I'd like to do that after I'm done with strong. I'll be done with strong in 6 weeks
Great list of quality foods. There are a couple on there I don't care for but will I revisit them.
Great nutrition fundamentals. Thanks guys, the Peanut/Legume revelation blew my mind!!
I love all the knowledge you guys share with us. I find it so helpful and so easy to implement the things I have learned. But I have a question do you guys recommend a drinking a protein shake after workout, and are frozen berries okay to use. Thank you
So stoked I watched this episode. Ran out and grabbed some raw milk from a local market. Tastes amazing and didn't produce the mucous normal milk does. Amazing 🙌 Only downside 1 delivery a week. Going to grab some goat milk next week as well.
I can’t believe you are giving away MAPS POWERLIFT!!!! I have a powerlifting competition in December and plan on running it. I haven’t competed in 3 years and I’m super excited to get park into it
Raw milk cured my sons constipation. And my fiance, who has issues with milk does well on it too. We love raw milk.
Thank you mind pump! This video was super helpful. I struggle with foods and finding a diet that works for me. I usually feel hungry all of the time or I get some serious cravings. I feel like this information will help a ton. I always thought eating right was super difficult and never really knew what to eat. Always thought veggies and salads were the way to go but was always hungry. So I could never stick with it. This is fantastic. Thanks again guys!!!
Thank you gentlemen for repeating information! I appreciate your wealth of knowledge. Thank you for making the world a better place!
Thank you for listening!
Hitting that 1k like on this video felt good for you guys. Keep it up MP
Awesome discussion! As a relatively new listeners as of a few months ago, I love thinking of something health & fitness related and just plugging it into UA-cam along with “mindpump” because there is almost always a documented discussion from you guys on it. Love that!
I’m a bit lost on the nut segment though. Is natural peanut butter not great? What about almond butter?
Mabuhay from the Philippines!! I've been binging you guys so much it's crazy the past few months. Can't believe I only discovered your channel recently. So much pearls of information!! Awesome job!!
Would like to hear y'all's opinion on cottage cheese! I love the stuff. Absolutely great with eggs or even as a salad topping.
Excellent content as usual. Having gut issues, this advice is very beneficial. Getting enough protein and fiber are the biggest things and everything on this list adds to that. I’m debating trying seed, but I’m taking masszymes currently.
Putting seed (chia) into a coffee grinder first, helps me digest the seed.
I want to thank you so much for this asewome vedio.i just found your channel and subscribed!
YESS POWERLIFT I’m a intermediate lifter and I want to seriously increase my strength in my compound lifts as it’s a dream or like to eventually compete in a powerlifting comp sometime in the future so I wld love to have access to that
I'm on the right track , I've been eating this way since I came across Stan Efferdin. Thanks for the extra info
I have been listening to you guys for months now and I like your content so much I have started going back and listening to all the old Podcasts starting at episode 1. Your content is amazing and very educational. It has helped my wife and myself tremendously. Thank you for everything you do!
Thanks this was so awesome ❤️🥊🇨🇦
Loving the fact that I have no problems with milk! I have a glass every morning for breakfast and I combine it with protein powder at night
I been dabbling in growing a few things in the garden any lets just say we all kind of got tired of zucchini! 😂 we were eating it a few times a week last summer!
Big time agree on the hard boiled eggs being so convenient. I absolutely hate getting up in the mornings but having 4 hard boiled eggs and low sugar instant oat meal packets is my breakfast every morning. It's so easy
Very informative! I took notes!
I'd add that asparagus and artichokes are vey high in inulin, a prebiotic fiber that helps with intestinal flora building and maintaining, especially during dietary changes. With milk, fermented yogurt and kefir are even better for most people. Uncooked spinach is also a no no because of the oxalic acid. White rice, white potatoes and a few other complex carbs are even better if they're refrigerated first, even if reheated, because they form resistant starch, which moves through the intestines slower, feeds beneficial bacteria and produces butarates. Potato salad is awesome; olives, olive oil mayo, onions and peppers. Cashews have an actual fruit around the cashew kernel. To raw nuts I'd add sunflower seeds; great for "nut butter".
This channel is priceless 👍
This was great!! I actually did the carnivore diet by accident - that's how I learned about this diet - because I was on a weight training program where I had to eat high protein and was instructed to eat it first. I was worried about it because I couldn't eat anything else after the protein. My trainer reassured me not to worry, but I started researching and sure enough...seems to be very beneficial for some people. I noticed for myself that sweet cravings disappeared - I could walk past a bowl of fruit and not be tempted at all, which used to be a problem for me. I also noticed, just by upping my protein intake, my weight began to plummet. It took a couple of months, but I didn't need to watch calories at all!! Funny thing: I had done every conceivable diet, would lose weight fast and then put it back on without changing anything. With eating primarily carnivore, the weight came off slowly at first and then just melted off. I've never had that happen before!
This has reminded me to get back to the high protein first eating. I put on a few pounds over the lockdowns...it's time to get serious again! ;-)
Love the showwwww!!
I spent 15 years of my life avoiding milk. A shop opened near my house who began selling raw milk from a local organic farm. Now I consume up to 2 litres in a week. Definitely recommend!
Love your channel❤
Nice! Just finished eggs and white rice with a touch of seasoned soy sauce. The whole time I was wondering if white rice is really what “they say”. This episode hit at the right time!
🎉Thank you!!❤❤❤❤❤
Avacado oil is also great for arthritis! I have an avacado and a cup of tart & dark cherries postworkout 5 times a week
love it... bro nutrition... and remember "plants can't run away"...
Just quit my high paying job and sold my home. I feel so liberated! Back on my workout and eating regiment. This was great, thank you guys/guidos! ❤
Go girl!!
Eggs-amino acid

Chicken-Turkey-Fish-Beef
Superfood-Whole Milk for RECOVERY
Mind Pump Yeah dude!!!
Farm fresh raw butter and pastured eggs are a staple as well as red meat!
phenomenal
Brussel sprouts are excellent. I would put this over leafy greens.
I can't believe rice is on your top 14. I've been hearing it from everyone else to eliminate it or at least reduce the amount, quantity, and frequency. Now I'm going to continue to enjoy my rice quilt free... when a dish calls for only though, of course. Thank you, y'all🙏😘.
Sticky white rice has no sugar
Blueberries are my jam. Love them and eat them almost every day.
That's what I was thinking, blueberries are the best ❤❤❤❤❤
Yogurt has been my main source of protein for decades not ideal I am sure with eggs being next. Going to try and expand my diet with some of these scramble ideas from Adam.
When it comes to nutrition I highly trust in the intuition of kids. When I was a kid this was how I ate:
I ate my meat first, because I liked that most. Then I ate potatoes, and veggies as last, if any.
I ate lots of eggs, real butter and I ate lots of salt. I was always skinny and highly energetic, good in a lot of sports.
My health declined at a later age when I listened to other people because they all said I ate unhealthy. After a year of misery I realised I was on the right track intuitively and probably should not listen to obese people concerning health.
This is very true to me aswell. When I was growing up I mainly ate my aunties meals, she would constantly cook mashed potatoes with ground beef and vegetables, breakfast was always eggs with some toast and bacon. I ate a ton and was lean and athletic but strong.
When I moved out about 16/17 I started just eating terribly, drinking etc and gained a bunch of weight. Then I yo-yo’d on keto for about a year after getting brainwashed by the keto nerds. Then one day I thought fuck it let me just eat how I ate when I was in shape. I ate nothing but potatoes, ground beef, eggs etc, tons of milk (all I drank as a kid) and within a few months I was stronger and leaner.
Great video, I was never absolutely sure about the risks of eggs being high in cholesterol.
The cholesterol issue has been debunked for over decades, but the 'we dont want want you to eat animal products and stay healthy ' people have lots of influence in nutrition science and control a lot of the narrative. The same applies to fat....
Getting ready to watch this and eating lunch: 6oz chicken breast, 120g sweet potato, .tbsp butter, spinach, cole slaw mix, and 1 tbsp ranch dressing. All thrown together in a bowl and heated. Hope this is list-friendly lol
Awesome videos without all the swearing and cussing like many other channels, I could watch with some humor and take notes, Godbless
