We Troll for Salmon in Shallow Water Among Rocks | Fishing with Rod

Trolling for chinook and coho salmon close to shore can be incredibly exciting because you have to be alerted on the depth which constantly changes and the fight can become chaotic very quickly. In this episode, we targeted salmon along the rocky shoreline in Kyuquot on Vancouver Island BC Canada during our visit to ‪@murphysportfishing‬ last summer.

Thanks! Most saltwater anglers on the West Coast of BC use these reels for a couple of reasons. They're just easier when working with the downrigger. Secondly it's just a tradition, most people here enjoy the challenge of working with these reels when fighting a fish, giving them a chance.
