Lincecum’s delivery was something else…
Iconic and inspirational. They'll never be another.
Lincecum gave all he could handle with his physique. Beautiful career.
He had like 4 years of pure dominance, but then it all came down. Even by 2010, his dominance was coming to an end. Amazing mechanics, legend of a pitcher. Beautiful career? Maybe. I wouldn't say that.
@@imaxdigital7052back to back cys, 3 rings, and 2 no hitters bro what? That’s the best career ever
@@PickleLicker357 Those are some of the most amazing accomplishments ever. An amazing career would entail longevity.
So nice to watch a game without the TV strike zone on there.
facts
The Freak had one of my favorite careers. Had his hip not gave out on him, and he stayed healthy... That's a scary thing to think of. 2 no hitters, 2 Cy Young Awards and 2 World Series rings. Pretty close to Hall of Fame IMO
Lincecum entered his prime while I was still playing hs baseball. I just remember him being so electric to watch with those dynamic mechanics. He'll always be one of my favorite pitchers!
And yeah, that degenerative hip condition definitely robbed us of a HOF talent!
Three WS rigs for Timmy and Panda and Posey. 2010, 2012, 2014
And the fact he pitched both of his no hitters when he was past his prime
U got to have at least 2000 innings pitched for hall of fame status bro hes one of my fav pitchers to watch its sun july 6th 2024 and im watching this amazing game for like the 5th time 😅😅
This is perfect timing for Opening Day
As a dodger fan we’ve come a long way. We didn’t always have it as good as we do now. Although I do miss Andre and Matt! Good times!
To be fair you still don't. Needed Covid short season to win a "ring" and spend $1B+ in the off season and will still probably not making it past NLCS.
@@RichardSanchez137you mad your team didn’t want to sign anyone and be cheap?
@@RichardSanchez137 which poverty team are you rooting for?
What a great matchup. The "Freak" had such a great run in his prime.
Oh man this is Vintage Kersh. Thanks for the upload
Back when baseball was baseball
I got to see Kershaw beat Tim Hudson in 2014. Highlight of my sporting life.
i got to see kershaw got destroyed by the cards in 2014.
What a blast to watch! Really doesn’t feel that long ago, but I guess it kind of was
Yeppp
Never before seen high quality copy of this game! I’m hoping for more rare stuff like this to be uploaded in the future! Thanks MLB!
“Big Time Timmy Jim”! Thanks for the post!
Back when SP actually pitched more than 5 innings or 3 times thru the lineup or a 100 pitches. Sad what we get now.
I know. They need to eliminate the pitch clock and batter clock ASAP
Thank GOD for the pitch clock. That's my takeaway from this game, I was in 10th grade during this season and could stay up all night and watch full games, I wouldn't be able to do it right now. These guys are literally taking 3 minutes to make one pitch with all the stepping off the mound and pickoff attempts.
Yeah thank God we can decrease the product offered to better-fit your attention span and life schedule
🗑️🤡
@@350OK Go play in traffic little boy.
Thanks for the upload 😊❤Go Giants
Nice pitching duel and fielding for both teams
That pitching rotation for giants is scary 😂. Also miss seeing Miguel tajeda play
Valuable video!!!!!!!
This was pretty much the highlight for the Dodgers in 2011. That season was not fun.
This was also the infamous Bryan Stow.
man we've come so far since the McCourt era time really does fly by
After the game was when giants fan Bryan stow was burutally beaten up in the parking lot.
Nothing beats the starting pitchers who were around in this area
Vi este juego ese dia, no puedo creer que ya pasaron 13 años.
Brian Sabien wasn’t lying about belt, the org kept him, and then kept him some more
Wow i forgot about Matt Kemp I used to love trading for him and then using him as a part of a package to get a Ace in the"Show"
Thanks for this!
OMG I have an idea MLB should do to get people into watching it more. The NFL does a primetime game as the first game of the year. The MLB should do the same thing. Hype it up two of the best teams head to head the only game on that night and have it being like a playoff atmosphere. That would help MLB so much.
2011 season as a Dodger fan was the darkest season, I remember.
Big time Timmy Jim
“Nobody calls him that” lol
I was there!
Digital cameras took pictures not cell phones this was also before social media junkies we have now as kids
Can you upload the game in which Fernando Valenzuela tied the Shoutout record? Against the cardinals in 1981? 🙏🏻🙏🏻
How many people did he shoutout? Was it in ingles or en espanol?

Go Giants!

Back before CA and LA was actually a sane place to live. RIP Los Angeles.
Sane?
This Dodgers fan disagrees. This is the night where Bryan Stow got brutally attacked and nearly murdered in the parking lot. This incident really gave LA a bad rap for years.
LA has been insane for decades. It was a sane place to live in the 50s lmao
I absolutely HATE how baggy uniforms were back then lmaooo
lol they did belt dirty with that pre game shot lmao 3:27
Holy shit forgot we had Tejada for a minute there lol

Back when the Dodgers were mediocre
Back when they had no World Series championship, looks like nothing’s changed since 😂

Remember when MLB had great starters who could go the distance and not the snowflakes we have now who average 4 innings per start? The game's really gone downhill.
Players these days seem to get injured a lot more often too.
@@WillE454 I think a combination of throwing harder and teams not developing their prospects properly -- handling young minor league pitchers with kid gloves, and this way they never learn to handle the rigours of a long start. And, as you say, they still get hurt! I don't know if the people in charge of MLB realize how much this is hurting the game. Pitching aces used to be rock stars. Now everyone's a reliever. It's so much less interesting. This era we see in this video (10-15 years ago) was the last gasp for the days of great starting pitching.
Blame ownership a bunch of fragile boomers who don’t want to lose a cent on the money they spend on these pitchers. They treat them like a Ferrari that they’ll baby and not take out so it will last longer and keep its value. They care more about money than winning. Pitchers absolutely have no say in how many inning they will pitch each game. My girlfriends father works in a MLB front office and after a few drinks at a cookout he’ll spill all kinds of things to everyone listening
@@hmor The Blue Jays have a prospect in their minor league system named Ricky Tiedemann -- frequently ranked very high on most top prospects lists. He started 11 games last year and threw for 32 innings. That's an average of less than 3 innings per start. And he's still hurt all the time. It's just absurd. This guy doesn't even know what's it's like to pitch late into a game.

Back when human beings weren’t all wack
How can I NOT forget about this game this is the same game Giants fan Bryan Stow almost got killed by 2 Stupid Mexican Dodger Gang Members
@eddiekane2639 not true. Not 90% of Dodger fans. Way less than that. You'll be fine at Dodger Stadium. I'm a Dodgers fan who has taken some of my buddies, who are Giants fans, to Dodger Stadium. Never had a problem.
Fuck that he was a white dude who probably was talking shit and couldn’t hold his own it happens all the time. Nobody just fucks somebody up for no reason it for sure wasn’t cause he was wearing giants gear.
You sir are a FUCKING LIAR.
Oh wow, the good ole days of pitching rivalries, great baseball and not a single weirdo trans nun gracing dodger stadium field. Miss those normal days
Kershaw's career lasted longer than Lincecum.
Lincecum accomplished everything he wanted to and retired wealthy. He has that Chokeshaw doesn't.
@JesusChrist2000BC what does Kershaw not have?
@@jh.4770 a legitimate world series title
@chronicblast5505love how it's seen as not legitimate. All the stats and odds say otherwise. Not only were they the best in the regular season, they were obviously the best in the post. It's okay if you don't want to look into it at all and just continue with how it makes you feel.
@chronicblast5505 the stats blind you from the reality.....of your baseless theory. They were more likely to be knocked out of the post by a less talented team than ANY other year because of the shortened postseason. But they didn't. They didn't sneak in, they were the best and beat the odds. Seethe

You sure buddy? Tim 4 x all star, 3 x NL strike out leader AND 3 World Series wins, WINS. Key word here, gots World Series wins something Kershaw will never have, except the 2020 Mickey Mouse 60 game next to no travel fake World Series ring with not even a parade 😂
