One of the things that was hugely appealing to boxers in the early days of Eddie starting to build a stable was that he paid his fighters on time…every time. That’s something boxers have maintained that Matchroom Boxing never miss their payments. Frank on the other hand has boxers from decades ago that to this day claim they still haven’t been paid. Whether that’s true or not who knows? But, there’s a lot of accusations so the smoke is coming from somewhere. Getting the obvious and important things right from the start pays off in the long run.

Matchroom seem to have a simple but effective business model, treat people well and pay them what they are due, and that earns the trust of the people who sign with them. Can't ever remember any of the people who have signed with them taking them to court on account of being swindled or owed money.

I think their shared rivalry is part of the reason Frank Warren and Simon Jordan (Talk Sport) are united against the Hearn's. Simon Jordan (made a fortune riding the wave of the 90's mobile phone boom) and Barry Hearn were both running football clubs. While Hearn did alright, Jordan lost his fortune... I think the bitterness still haunts Jordan and Warren but Warren's now being paid a lot of Saudi money to pretend he likes Eddie.
Never heard Jordan say anything about Barry Hearn, he seems to dislike Eddie due to his inherited wealth and status.

I find it funny, as if people would neglect their kids if they had money.
