I currently use the Canon 17-55 2.8 with an adapter for the R7 and I don't know if the change is worth it, the weight is less but in terms of quality and performance?

Well. The Tamron SP AF 17-50mm f/2.8 XR Di II LD with EF to RF adapter will do the same but cheaper.
Too heavy to carry around during travel especially recording video
all 3rd party EF lenses have the focus breathing issues with Canon RF line
it is not a problem if shot stills also not a big deal when shot video. No focus breathing lenses are expensive cinema ones.
No OIS in Sigma LOL
@@lesnayalesichka sometimes rely on camera ibis rather than combining rf body ibis with ef lens ois, especially third party ef lens or old efs lens ( 17-55mm) which caused focus jumping.. Even rfs kit lens outperforms old premium lineup ef lens when comes to stabilization and AF
