what do yall think of VENDED?!
I hope they blow tf up someday
Hmmm... Different feelings:)
Link it to THEIR UA-cam page
Idk if you already have and I haven't seen it yet but you should check into twin temple
I think it’s good and Corey Taylor son does have great vocals just like his father
I think its dope as hell that Clown and Corey's sons formed a band together, one hell of a legacy
And they are sure as hell not just living up to it, but carving their own!
I do as well wish they didn't sound so similar. Well the instrumentals sound more metal core.
@@brandonet23 it sounds like a mixture of Deathcore and Nu-metal which is starting to become a thing. A lot of metal bands are heading into the Nu-Core, Progressive Death Metal, Deathcore, Progressive Metal, and Alternative Metal sub-genres and they sound pretty good for the most part. One of the newer bands that stand out to me that are trying to revive Groove/Thrash metal is Slackjaw. This song is good for the most part. I only wish there was more technicality in the main riff of this song like some palm muting or moving around on the neck considering it cover around 70% of the song but other than that this song is good.
@@brandonet23 I’m just not to big of the riff or guitar tone because the main riff really sounds like something Nickelback wrote which is not that bad because some Nickelback riffs are catchy but it needs some more spice.
@@Nameless2004 Yes, Slaughter To Prevails Kostolom is basically slipknot death core. Really fucking dope album and you can hear the nu metal influence
Homeboy sounds just like his dad on vocals. I'm thoroughly impressed with the song.
I'm guessing Corey Taylor's son on his voice alone. It's unmistakable.
@@AstronomyWales Damn straight dude 🔥
His dad taught him
That's definitely a Corey Taylor mini-me if I ever heard one.
@khronosfateless exactly what I was thinking
That’s cool you never mentioned their heritage and let them stand on their own! They have a great future ahead of them! Loved it!
AMEN.
Seriously cool, everything I've seen so far has been all about where they come from. Let them be their own thing 🤘
The transformation form hip hop head to metal head is legendary.
great 🤘🤘🤘🤘
I dont ever see Slipknot disbanding. I feel like Clown and Corey will pass Slipknot down to their Kids to continue Slipknot for another 20+ years with Griffin on Vocals and Simon as the main drummer or a percussionist.
I think percussion because Jay is young
Personally I disagree, every book must have a final page, every show has a final episode, and all bands must have a final song. I hope they don't do that. If you just mean that their spirit will carry on with Vended, I hope they do.
Clown has been recorded stating that slipknot is bigger than its members. As the originals get older/ die out 😢. The next generation will come forth to keep the maggots pulsing.
If that happens...it might rip a hole in the fabric of reality.
this is an amazing idea
Dude I listened to this for the first time last night. Man griffin sounds just like Corey. The kids are talented and I hope they get all the blessings they deserve
Thank you for what you do Alex. This year has really took its toll on me. My wife passed away in February. Have lost several close friends since then. Had back surgery and the list goes on. But the energy you put off really helps brighten my day. So thank you brother
Much love tommy. I’m always here for you brother!
@@AlexHefner thank you brother
I first heard this yesterday and I was really impressed. Griffin is definitely his father's son vocally and Simon is great on the drums. I'm definitely looking forward to hearing more from them and seeing where they go. They seem to have a unique sound with this first song that I hope they hang on to and expand on with future releases.
If you want to hear another new(ish) band with the son of a prominent metal musician in it, I highly recommend Tallah. Mike Portnoy's (drummer for way too many bands and projects to list) son Max is the drummer and they're awesome! Knowing how much you love Slipknot, I really think you'd like Tallah as well. Overconfidence would be a good song to start with, or L.E.D if you want to start with something a little crazier.
Alex would love Tallah, I heard No One Should Read This last year and it blew my mind!
Definitely need to do Tallah. Matriphagy was my album of the year 2020.
yeap! well said \m/
Tallah is amazing!!!
I think it's a great song.
The only problem I have with it is that even though he's the son of Corey Taylor he's trying too hard to sound like him
I love it, honestly. Griffin sounds like his dad, but also himself at the same time.
The first time I listened to this, griffin sounded just like his father, specifically the chorus to be exact
Holy crap! I know they’ll hate being constantly compared to their dads, but dang man, these dudes are legit. Loved the sound, vibe and grit. I see them going around the world for sure.
Honored* if they aren't then they picked the wrong career. Lol
@@kentcoffey3116 of course it's an honour to have such a succesful dad, but any normal person would want to be recognised for their own talent, not their dad's
@@user-kr6uf8wr1x yes jolyne, yes
Speaking of up and coming bands, Landmvrks is extremely underrated. "Lost in a Wave" by them is absolutely incredible. The vocals are so dynamic, the instruments mesh so well, the music they create has insane replayability. I wish we could shed some more light on these guys.
Hell yeah, "Rainfall" slaps.
Oh man, Alex hasn't heard them yet!? I honestly think he'd enjoy the whole album
theyre french, he doesnt care
Loving this band
dope review, thank you for the support homie!!
Always brother 👊🏼
Early 2000's Nu metal vibes yet still fresh...I love it 😎
Definately potential there. Its a great song. Griffin and Simon sound so much like their fathers which isnt a bad thing but does sound very similar which tbh is expected as that is what they grew up with. The more and more they make music and put it out the more and more they will get their own style. Great
00:29 I never realized how much Simon looks and sounds just like his dad until I saw this clip.
Simon’s Clown’s son & the drummer.
Griffin Taylor(Corey Taylor's son) is the singer
I’m 49 yrs old and this is a nice change. Has a good sound that sounds familiar and timeless. I can see some great things coming from them in the future.
Holy mother of GOD!!!! This is just amazing, can’t wait for this album to drop!!
This band is definitely one I'm gonna keep supporting! Very impressed with Griffin and Simon's work, as well as the other members
I haven't heard any new bands that caught my attention. But hearing Corey's son sound just like him gives me alot of hope for kickass metal in the future 🤩🤩🤩🤩
They have a hell of a start to be a great band!... im excited to see where they go... Simon's drumming is badass!
Griffin and Simon standing on their own and proving they've got the skills. It's fucking great to see.
The apple doesn't fall to far from the tree. There is alot of talent in this band. Thx for the introduction homie. 🤘🤘
What a great group of kids, doing everything right... we interviewed them over the summer.
Thank you!!! For showing me this Piece of heaven! Something new to hear up and down and up and down.
Going to see them Saturday at Knotfest Iowa! The whole lineup is killer!
I can't stop smiling!!.. been waiting for this!!
We actually got to open for these guys in May this year in Iowa City. The energy that night was unreal. They put on a fantastic performance, hands down the most we have ever had playing a show. Wish them the best 👌
I can't wait to see what else they release and where they go. They sound amazing
It's crazy how much Griffin Taylor sounds like his father while still holding really well as his own. Not only can you tell that he was inspired by his father, you can tell that he really is the son of Corey Taylor.
This is some circle of life shit right here, the kids of the legends doing some late 90s era nu metal in 2021. I reckon once they find their guitar sound and their own sonic pocket, they’ll explode - Simon Crahan on drums is amazing and who they should build off of. Griffin doing some great harsh vocals too. Really good!
I really liked these guys for the first time hearing them. Great sound and musicianship and i'll be checking into them more for sure.
Added to my playlist, can't wait to see what these guys do!
These guys gotta hella lot of potential!!
The drums sound very much like Sepultura's first album.
More like their Chaos AD stuff
I was thinking Slipknot + Sepultura before I saw your comment. 👍
First album?? Morbid Visions sounds nothing like this , this is closer to there 6 th album Roots.
I've seen Slipknot on the 28th of July in Prague and Vended opened for them. I was fortunate enough to have both Corey and Griffin spit water at me. Weirdly satisfying, seeing as how hot it was in that constant mosh pit of an event.
Love the channel and your style , bud. Keep it up!
So dope, thanks Alex
I love the sound over all.. and that they’ve got their own sound.. it’s fun & powerful
added to my spotify playlist, thanks again for a great recomendation :)
So much potential. They're heavy metal royalty, but they haven't rested on that, and they're truly earning our respect. Can't wait to hear more from the next generation.
That breakdown at the end reminded me of Vein and it kicked ass. Loved this song. Stoked for more from them.
It's so good; and for a new band, too; like if they keep that hunger and love for the music going, they could really go far, like damn.
Bad ass, I wanna hear more!!
Oh snap, that bass is smacking hard, really dig it. Good job lads
I love that early 90’s sound mixing with new age metal .
I stopped what I was doing to listen to this... Thank you that was awesome!
The solo in this song definitely reminded me of a Jim Root solo.
Thank you Alex for these videos. My stepdad passed away on Tuesday and I need to get back to some sort of 'normality' whatever that may be. These videos help that beyond words x
Metal isn’t dead yet!!! Waiting for more from this band. 🤟🏼
*Okay, so I missed your intro (sorry) because I was doing the dishes. So I totally missed any info you gave about these guys. I sat down in time for the song to start and said "Oh wow! These guys have a Slipknot feel to them. I'm diggin' this!" Then I thought "wait, is this Corey? Does he have a new side project?" So I went and checked to see who the members of the band were. AHA! Makes perfect sense now. They're familiar while being unique at the same time. Love it!!*
Yoooo dude sounds JUST like his old man. Fucking crazy. Got the goosebumps 🤘🤘
Seem them live couple months back at their first show after the shutdown here in iowa! Cant wait to see them again at Knotfest Iowa this Saturday!
Guitarist is great. Very different vibe mixing classic an by metal. Great band. Singer will improve over time and expand his range.
Sick to see you reacting to them, despite them being so young and just starting their career.
It's like going back to the 90s again. I couldn't be happier
Soon as I heard that intro drum line my face dropped , 😳. You can hear Jordy in that , METAL IS ALIVE AND WELL, this is incredible! ( I can see these guys touring with bands like Trivium and yes Slipknot ) yes I know they where at KnotFest.
Amazing and that drumming at the start of the song wow 🤟🤟🤟🤟
It’s ridiculous how much he sounds like Corey. I would really love to see Vended record a Slipknot greatest hits album.
Griffin Taylor sounds exactly like his father and Simon Crahan's drumming definitely do sound heavily inspired by his dad as well!!🤘🏻
Zup Alex , next year will be mi first time in a knotfest! And vended is in. So f.. excited man!! Love the song and hope to listen to the album when comes out! And slipknot of course that will blow me away hahahaha peace ✌️🕊️
I'm gonna be seeing them here in September!!!
Just found these guys!!
This is amazing!
Yoo !!... Coreys son sounds just like him !! 👍👍 Love the drums and guitar kinda sounds like mudvayne a good bit, and have a good future in the metal community !! 👍👍🤟🤟
Who else noticed the fact that the picture in the background is the same as the cover of this single? More importantly lol, since last night I’ve now seen Vended live twice and they’re so damn awesome
Glad you're reacting to it
Gives me system of a down machine head and slipknot vibes
Christ Griffin has some sic lows
Love how this dude attitude was hip hop gagansta and now more the rockstar heavy metal dude
Right now I’m impressed
Daaaaamn these kids sound GREAT
The potensial is off the charts
this is the first time I visit your channel and dang... I LOVE THIS CONTENT!!! Ich liebe dich MEIN FREUND!!!
I fucking love the song. Man I hope they get some more attention some day
Intro reminded me of " You could be mine" by GNR and "Jesus Christ Pose" by Soundgarden. Definitely see their parents influence too throughout the rest. Good song !
Totally thought the same about the GnR intro
They put on a siiiiick show at knotfest Iowa. Didn't know who they were at all but found out when I was wondering why Corey was up there on stage watching them like it was his life 😂 cuz it was 🤣😂
Raw but clean. Impressive
Its crazy how much griffin sounds like his dad with his vocals
You can find the VENDED Knot Pulse of the Maggots Fest 2020 show on youtube. They played with Orbit Culture (awesome show!)
You can absolutely tell the family influences!
To say this band has big shoes to fill is an understatement 😂
I saw them play at knotfest in November in LA. They where pretty good
Boy, Griffin sounds so much like his dad! Holy crap! I mean he has his own voice of course, but I can hear so much Corey there. Corey has to be so proud. As a father, I'm happy for him.
I'm so proud of this freaking band. They're are playing straight up pure fucking Metal!.. Not using all that trigger drums and synthetic f'ng garbage. Its gonna be really cool to see how these youngins turn up!. So far so great!.. This old man is very impressed!
So I think it's fair enough to say that these guys have a bright future, and while it may have helped having parents that are extremely well known, but in no way are they riding on anyone's coat tales. Ded To Me is impressive, I wish you all the best, cheers!!
You can definitely tell who influences them!! Love this ! Is it on iTunes?
Yup
Reminds me of Iowa Corey. I hope to see them perform with Slipknot together in the future! One hell of a legacy they're creating.
Got that late 80s early 90s flow. It’s sick. 🤟🏻🤟🏻🤟🏻
Awesome reaction, that first part of the intro reminds me of You cpuld be mine by GnRs lol 😂 (only slightly)
Just found this band.
He is his father's son 🤟
Early Iowa ♥️
But with his own Style.
Love it🤟🤟🤟
This song does sound fun and I love that. A lot of rock and metal bands take themselves too seriously and have forgotten how to make music fun. There do seem to be more and more bands and artists recently who make music that is fun and I love that.
BASS is a game changer wow
goosebumps babyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
Griffin just totally sounds like his father
I would love if you reacted to the band Grandson!! Either the song Blood // Water or Dirty. 😁
1:15 *rewinds with my fingers crossed hoping Alex indeed already said that*
4:50 This reminds me to the last scream of Sepulturas "Roots Bloody Roots "
Love the song!
Fucking love this shit! Rock on boys 🤘
Awesome!
It sounds a lot like Corey Taylor's style of singing and I love it. During the intro all I was thinking was "this is really cool, please don't fuck it up with the vocals" and THEY DIDN'T FUCK IT UP AT ALL!
Almost similar to slipknot but not trying to be like slipknot I can dig it!
Well Corey Taylor's son, Griffin, is the vocalist, dude sounds just like his dad
SlipVayne
