The white blouse that you ended up buying really looked like your first expensive choice. Like they look the same but you DIYed to look like the other one
The fact that Becky struggled a bit is a "good" thing as it shows reality of thrifting. You save money (and the planet!) but you can not always find what you are looking for or not even a dupe, or you will have to go to like 15 thrift stores... So thank you for NOT editing the part Becky did not find what she was looking for as it keep things real
Uhhh Becky chose the most niche and specific items, Kelsey chose pretty classic and common pieces... I don’t think it has anything to do with the city size either ^^^ most thrift stores always have different leggings, sweat shirts and white blouses. Coveralls and kimonos on the other hand? You’d be lucky.
Hello! There is actually a tool called a fabric tube turner (or loop turner) that you can buy! It's got a little hook on the end that you can pull the fabric through.
Chopsticks yo...sew up one end, use the chop stick ( or those thin meat on a stick thingys, sorry brain fart) uber easy and almost every house has them
I think we can all find a way to agree they are both gorgeous queens with unique style. Different body types are all beautiful. One of the reasons the Sorry Girls channel is so good is that they showcase that in their style videos with flair and an appreciation for the other.
@littlesmew I think it makes for a more interesting video when it doesn't go as planned and they have to work a little harder! Becky is gorgeous and looks amazing in literally every color and style, and I think her style is definitely more interesting and bold than Kelsey! Becky doesn't have model proportions but models aren't donating their clothes to thrift stores much so I don't really get that comment.
Becky: If you don't care for the color of the black dress, you should try bleaching it and dying it. It would definitely give it that cool gypsy vibe that I have noticed you seem to like. 😁
I would love to see them do more dying! Including of furniture! But also I just feel like with that fabric bleaching that seems super risky. Like that fabric would fall apart, if trying to get it super light. We also don't know if it was a synthetic material or not.
i would love to see you guys use natural dyes like tumeric and avocado seeds and skins to dye thrift store garments that aren't quite the right colour !!
love the video. I like that Becky didn't settle for items that she didn't really like and you guys showed the struggle of going from store to store trying to find the right item. The DIY Kimono is clutch.
I loved how this helped break down 'what is it that I like about x item' --cut, fabrication, color, 'vibe'...that makes the purchasing more intentional but also helps you find more things because you can think a bit laterally!
This is very inspiring. I love how you guys always encourage people to thrift & diy instead of buying new expensive clothes. Also love that you guys still use "if you like it" closing statement. it's your unique TSG's signature. Keep inspiring! Much love from Indonesia.
Mmm I liked the white blouse the way it was actually! And it was exactly like the first blouse you picked out. Also, I actually love the black on Becky!
Kelsey chopping off those covered buttons and bow really broke my heart, cause it all I dream of finding. I see so many of those 2010 tie up blouses, but I can never find the covered button pussy bow eighties lux blouses. I died a little, but Becky's lacy flowy duster up cycle gave me life back. The hunt and hard work to find the good stuff is part of why I enjoy second hand shopping, wether it's thrifting or curated vintage, it's so much more rewarding when you've had to put in effort to get what you want, rather than just being fed the new trends of the month through a fast fashion app. I think you could make a series out of this where you make a shopping wish list and look for stuff on it every time you are out thrifting, vintage shopping and browsing a second hand app, rather than just a one day take. It's much more realistic and will probably result in better matches to the objects you're looking for.
@TheSorryGirls I normally don't like thrift videos, I don't care what people can buy (what I obviously can't because it's thrift) but recreating specific outfit is genius!!!! love that! want more!!
I loved this! I have been thrifting for years and find amazing things for the fraction of the store price. Loved the white blouse transformation and oh those coveralls! Loved them! The black dress was way better than the mustard one. I actually liked the kimono more in it's original state but great job adding the elements to make it more like you preferred. You two are always an inspiration.
You guys did SOOOOO well! Becky, I was completely skeptical but those coveralls look amazing on you! And Kelsey, what you were able to do with that shirt is brilliant. Love you both 🌟
Ladies, YOU ROCK !!! Your ideas for thrifter finds in place of the original articles was GENIUS !!! So much inspiration I wanna go buy something and do what you all did. Thanks so much ♥️
oh god those internet dial up sounds brought back some horrors. the days when every time you had to connect to the internet and this sound met you and when sometimes it would take a while so you were stuck there listening to it for that while.
I love this idea! I mostly thrift when I want vintage graphic tees and silk camis, I love that you guys took it to a new level and picked harder to find items and then also altering them, great job girls!
Love your thrift, not new attitude. Plus it almost forces you to be creative and get something that is personal to you and there won't be hundreds of clones of it at the mall. Love that .
I think you guys did great on this! You both wanted very specific items, and you got those items for far less than retail, so I think you guys won on this!
There's a specific tool to use for turning bias binding inside out! Head to a really good fabric or commercial fabric store to get them. I use to have one for my fashion course but I forgot the official name for it!
Kelsey you looked amazing in that blouse. You should keep it for yourself. Becky you looked so good in that robe thing 😂 and well done to the both of you for your diy skills.
Kelsey, I think that white blouse you DIYed suits and fits you so well! I might be more fitted than the one you wanted to replicate, but as long as it's comfy you can definetly pull it off!
Y’all should do an episode of colouring ur clothes with natural dyes like avocado skin n onion skin n turmeric etc I heard you say few times this episode that it wasn’t the right colour n could maybe dye it urself
For the tube issue. I use a metal hanger stretched out, put it through the tube and crimp a tiny hook and you can work it back out the tube. The hook will hold the fabric and you just work your way. Can be tricky till you get used to it.
@JustTryMe 2019 I thought that I was the only one feeling this. To me they don't seem to get along that well. I feel like there's some tension between them? Idk, it might be just me.
Patriot Jefferson They went to college together and started the channel doing DIY Halloween costumes because they were both interested in costumes but couldn’t find any tutorials at the time. I think that was about 6-ish years ago. They’ve adapted their content as they themselves have changed. For example, they went from little DIY costumes to wedding decor to renovating a home. They’ve previously stated that because they work together most of the time, they socialise and have different groups of friends because it’s important to spend time both together and apart. They have a large TSG team behind them for their videos, such as a Content Manager and Editor and a larger team for their Upgrade My Stay series. Hope this answers some questions.
Kelsey, they make tube turners for turning things like your ties on the blouse. My cheap method is taking a straw and a skewer (I use a chopstick) sew one end of the tube then take the skewer and put it in the end of the tube. Then push it through the straw. I also use a safety pin at one end and use that as something to act as a guide as I push it through the tube. It’s like threading elastic into a waistband.
Kimono - You literally went past the same fabric in the store! 18:51. Be brave, make it from scratch! but I love you both so you can really do no wrong lol
Yesssss! When I saw that I thought the same thing! But maybe it was more expensive like she said later and would mean making the piece from scratch which they don't usually do... maybe coolirpa would do it?
I really love this idea! For the kimono, I definitely would have rather bought some fabric and made my own after not finding something. 😂 But yours did turn out super cute!
I love this challenge! I love going onto pinterest and getting ideas for what to find in the thrift stores near me but this is great that you tried it with such expensive/high-end brands! Duping expensive clothes is labor intensive but SO WORTH IT! Great video ladies!
I love thrifting so much .I still see things I want all the time at the other stores but I can't afford that anyway and it feels good to support the stores here .They use the money for scholarships for kids for college and it's fun .I always find tons of things I love and never go in and not find things I wear all the time .
Great video, loved how the kimono turned out. Can you buy and DIY celebrity fashion lines? The ones I’ve heard of are: Billie Eilish has BLOHSH, Kate Hudson has Happy X Nature and Fabletics, Reese Wetherspoon has Draper James, Gwyneth Paltrow has G Label/ Goop fashion, Serena Williams has Serena, Drew Barrymore has Dear Drew, JLo has a line at Kohl’s, and I think Victoria Beckham has a line, Selena Gomez did a collab with Coach. Then there’s obviously celebrity merch like Ariana Grande, Cardi B did a collab with Fashion Nova, Little Mix released a line. I think you could do so many creative things with all these different clothing and merch types!
For Becky with the mustard dress: I was thinking tie-dye! Similiar boho vibe and so easy to do! And you could have gone to a fabric store/found another piece from the same fabric at the T.S. and add a ruffle tier at the bottom just like the original dress for perfect silhouette match.
Pro tip: when sewing in general, but especially with delicate fabrics, press the seams as you go. I guarantee it will help out immensely and get you more professional outcome. One extra step, but SO worth it.
The white blouse diy was soooo cool!! And happy 10th anniversary on UA-cam!! I love watching thrift videos coz they really remind me how easy sometimes to save money!!
Loved this video! Your fashion DIY/hacks are my favourite. I wish I knew which VV you go to. (I go to Vic Park and Eg., and Woodbine and Danforth.) Becky, have you considered putting the lace trim with the fringe (18:37) on the kimono as trim where the new fabric attaches to the existing garment. I think it would really up the lacy vibe and unite everything beautifully. The shape of it is fantastic now! Thanks for another terrific video, Sorry Girls!
Also process ("PRO-sess") sounds odd to me whenever Canadians say it (in the states we say "prah-sess"). It's one of those words that usually gives away a Canadian actor portraying an American character.
Nicely done, both of you. I would have looked for a lace tablecloth to DIY into a kimono. Alternately a tablecloth could have provided the extra fabric Becky needed to add to her robe.
I had a video idea for this soooooo long ago! I never did it and I’m sad :/ lol but you guys did it! Great job. I love challenging myself to recycle clothing and make it cute!
I’m actually working on my own DIY as I watch your DIYs. Haha. Oversized distressed denim jacket with faux leather patches behind the huge distressed areas and add crystal trim to the seams. I’m excited.
I thought it was hilarious that Kelsey's challenge item was a sweatshirt 😁 like it is so common here it's hard to find jumpers that are not sweatshirts
To turn tubes easily, use a loop turner or a tube turner. You can even DIY a tube turner by using a chopstick and a thin tube/pipe. As a person who makes tank tops and costumes with belts like yours Kelsey, it makes life sooooo much easier.
Such cute DIY's! You two amaze me with your thriftiness! Kelsey, as far as turning your 'tube' inside out, this might already be in the comments, but I didn't feel like reading through over 800 of them to find out ! Pin a small safety pin to one side of the end of tube, close the pin and push it back through the inside of the tube. Keep pushing the pin through the tube and push the outsides of the tube toward the insides and the tube will turn itself inside out as the pin goes through. Voila! Hope this made sense. It is actually really fun to do this and so easy!
Becky, I think the robe would've looked cute if you ruffled the farbic at the bottom hem. Personal opinion, but you definitely made that robe so much cuter :)
Kelsey, why did You not just sew the tie in a bias tape kind of way? Would have saved you a lot of work, especially since you sewed it flat in the end, anyways 🤷🏼♀️😅
The DIY Designer has a tutorial for making kimonos, she makes it out of sequin fabric but it would be great for making your own lace one! Edit: ua-cam.com/video/O36p03t0qBw/v-deo.html Tell Orly Hi!
Kelsey, you need to get a loop turner or a tube turner.. basically its a long stick with a hook at the end.. so you can loop over the stick, lock the fabric in the hock and start turning the fabric out...
For Kelsey's DIY white shirt, if you attach a safety pin to the end of "tube" you are trying to turn inside out it makes it much easier. That way you have something ridged inside the tube to grasp and pull along verses just the floppy end of the fabric.
Anyone else just watch all these thrift flips thinking u will do one “someday “ but never do...I can’t be the only one 😅. Edit: thank you for so many likes
Kelsey you did a great job flipping the white blouse! It looks cute too. All other options from both of you are great as well. Loved to have a brief introduction about the Kensington market. Why not doing a tour video to it? Just a suggestion!
Edited: You girls put in so much effort for this. It’s amazing. I would definitely like to see more of these. Also, you girls had it rough with this one and I think you did a super job given what you got. Let’s get to 2(0) million! 💥 Third’s not bad. Posted eight seconds ago and I’m not even first 😆
Kelsey saying she will never find a basic crew neck sweat shirt at the thrift store... Excuse me. That’s like 90% of the stock at a thrift store lol what.
Not sure if anyone mentioned it yet but for the tubes use a teeny tiny safety pin! Just feed it through the tube after attaching it to the end. They also sell these cool lil contraptions at fabricland that are specifically made to do this!! It looks like a very long crochet hook
love, Love, LOVE this concept!!!!! It’d be cool to see the same process but for house decor or furniture too. Loved seeing the struggle Becky experienced too because it is SO real. It’s all about patience! Also, if you do a thrifting is my therapy shirt I would die! I love it!
Kelsey your shirt came out amazing! Even better than the one you added to cart :) The way you make a tie without a popsicle stick and a seam ripper is- you see it the same way but leave the threads uncut at the top (the threads that you have before your first stitches). Then once you sewed all the way down, take those beginning threads, put them through a hand sewing needle, and feed the needle with the threads through the tie with the needle head first (not the sharp part first). So that's how you make a diy tie/loop turner. Hope that's helpful.
The white blouse that you ended up buying really looked like your first expensive choice. Like they look the same but you DIYed to look like the other one
Ok but the DIY does look awesome
This Killed me!!
I know! I was so shocked that she even altered it!
Rylee Smith agreed. Low key irked me that she ruined it lol
my thoughts exactly

Came here to day the same thing!
Yes! Exactly what she needs!
Came here to say the same thing! Also known as a rouleaux turner 🤓
safety pins! My mom used them, and I did the same thing all through fashion school. works well and is nearly free.
Chopsticks yo...sew up one end, use the chop stick ( or those thin meat on a stick thingys, sorry brain fart) uber easy and almost every house has them
Becky, if there were lace tablecloths at the thrift store, perhaps that could have been "fabric" for your kimono.
Thought the same
I have done that, plus they are super cheap!
Or curtains, I've done that before. Also silk/satin bedsheets.
Lace curtains are also plentiful in thrift stores. You know, those granma-curtains..
I kept yelling "JUST BUY GRANDMAS TABLE CLOTH"
The long sleeve blouse with the bow looked almost like an exact dupe of the aritzia one you decided not to diy
Kelsey: I'm gonna get a sweatshirt. Becky: I'm gonna get a lace kimono. Love the distinct style differences.
littlesmew what “pain”? She looks fine to me
littlesmew come on.. seriously?
I think we can all find a way to agree they are both gorgeous queens with unique style. Different body types are all beautiful. One of the reasons the Sorry Girls channel is so good is that they showcase that in their style videos with flair and an appreciation for the other.

Find a white one and put it in kurkuma
@@hereisajakualin4344 my thought !!!!
M. Thompson yes👏 You can also get that beautiful mustard color using Turmeric as a natural dye!
Yes, I was going to comment to bleach it and then dye it with turmeric!♡♡♡
i would love to see you guys use natural dyes like tumeric and avocado seeds and skins to dye thrift store garments that aren't quite the right colour !!
I was thinking so! Beaky should have got the white coverall and dyed it blue.
love the video. I like that Becky didn't settle for items that she didn't really like and you guys showed the struggle of going from store to store trying to find the right item. The DIY Kimono is clutch.
9:05 Harry Styles would ACTUALLY rock that blazer coat tho, and he'd look FIRE
yeees, i thought the same thing when I saw that blazer
Shoot, I want that coat lol
I was so scared when Becky was DIYing that kimono that because the fabric didn't match it was gonna look really bad but it was so cute in the end! ❤
Okay but those coveralls are SO CUTE even if they're not exactly the same and still kinda expensive. And they're thrifted/vintage!!
The white shirt Kelsey has looks more that the first option with the tie, then the sheer shirt?
Sincerely Eccentric that’s what I thought. Best of both worlds! But then she cut it up 😭
Mmm I liked the white blouse the way it was actually! And it was exactly like the first blouse you picked out. Also, I actually love the black on Becky!
I loved that black dress on her! And it's such a vibe.
And that was it !
There is a really handy tool called a loopturner, it’s like a really long needle with a hook at the end that makes turning straps really easy!
The Jean Coverall would be simple to make by finding a Jean Jacket and pants and Just sew them together, maybe cutting off the arms
Exactly what I was thinking the whole time 👍
I think BlueprintDIY did something something like that a while back, should check it out.
When's the “Sorry Girls cross-Canada thrift flip trip” start...& will there be meet and greets? #TSGCCTFT
yaaaaaaaaaaas

Agreed, that was a beautiful blouse *sniffs*....
I'm not looking for that specific blouse, but I also cried a little when she cut that perfect piece.

You guys should make ur own fluffy onesie!!!! Like with ears and pockets!!
Nicely done, both of you. I would have looked for a lace tablecloth to DIY into a kimono. Alternately a tablecloth could have provided the extra fabric Becky needed to add to her robe.
Hands up for the "thrifting is my therapy" merch. Please!!!!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE these thrifted clothes vids!! That kimono ribe Becky! Wowza!! And I love the leather pants!! Great job
I had a video idea for this soooooo long ago! I never did it and I’m sad :/ lol but you guys did it! Great job. I love challenging myself to recycle clothing and make it cute!
Your choices look great. The white blouse looks great on you. Keep it. Both of you did great.
I really need that first thrift shop's address. SO. MANY. BOOKS. OMG
Value village
That 600$ lacey cardigan looks like something I had on my dining table when I was a kid 😂😂😂
Fashun
Such cute DIY's! You two amaze me with your thriftiness! Kelsey, as far as turning your 'tube' inside out, this might already be in the comments, but I didn't feel like reading through over 800 of them to find out ! Pin a small safety pin to one side of the end of tube, close the pin and push it back through the inside of the tube. Keep pushing the pin through the tube and push the outsides of the tube toward the insides and the tube will turn itself inside out as the pin goes through. Voila! Hope this made sense. It is actually really fun to do this and so easy!
I love this! Trying this out when I head to the thrift store today!
I love these videos. So much fun. I cant thrift cuz i live in the middle of nowhere......but i thrift vicariously thru you guys. Thanks!!!
Becky, I think the robe would've looked cute if you ruffled the farbic at the bottom hem. Personal opinion, but you definitely made that robe so much cuter :)
Hi Kelsey, for the tube/tie thing, it's super helpful to get the fabric tube turners.
Kelsey, why did You not just sew the tie in a bias tape kind of way? Would have saved you a lot of work, especially since you sewed it flat in the end, anyways 🤷🏼♀️😅
Love Becky’s skirt! I would never have picked that out but it is so cute! And that kimono came out so good!
The DIY Designer has a tutorial for making kimonos, she makes it out of sequin fabric but it would be great for making your own lace one!

Tell Orly Hi!
Amanda W link please
Love herrrrrrrrrr
Kelsey, you need to get a loop turner or a tube turner.. basically its a long stick with a hook at the end.. so you can loop over the stick, lock the fabric in the hock and start turning the fabric out...
okay both of the DIY options ended up looking amazing!
I made a crop top sweater. I still haven't finished sowing it lol
Joy Harteek you’re not alone 😂🤣😂
I keep saying I’ll record mine to post on UA-cam or tiktok, but I keep on procrastinating..... 🤦🏼♀️
Third’s not bad.
Posted eight seconds ago and I’m not even first 😆
Love the kimono, and the white blouse!great job!!love the thrift challenge videos!!!
You joked about that coat, but it would definitely have gone home with me if I had it in my thrift store
I'm OBSESSED with that neoprene/drapes coat! THAT is my thrift store hunt now!
I will buy the "Thrifting is my therapy " T if you make it :D
love, Love, LOVE this concept!!!!! It’d be cool to see the same process but for house decor or furniture too. Loved seeing the struggle Becky experienced too because it is SO real. It’s all about patience! Also, if you do a thrifting is my therapy shirt I would die! I love it!
9:35 is that Logan Paul’s merch?? 😂
Jacy Brazil omg was looking for this comment 🙏😅 I wish I didn’t recognise it, but I did, and at least I don’t feel alone..
human Hahaha I was a bit embarrassed too! Not many people caught it... thanks for admitting! 😂😂
